Those cold eyes penetrated deep into Lintian, Yuki and Kyuri’s soul.
“Humans, what are you doing here,” a deeps sophisticated voice echoed in their minds.
“We, we got lost in the forest and came into your cave to hide from the rain,” stammered Lintian.
“Leave now and don’t come back,” a fox figure with six tails said. His voice carried a sense of authority that no one could disobey. Lintian felt really grateful when he heard this.
“Yes, sir. We will leave right away,” replied Lintian grabbing Yuki’s hand and mentally sending Kyuri a mental message. While they were walking pass the Tail Fox beast Lintian saw from the corner of his eyes a small tailless fox hiding behind the Six tail’s leg.
His eyes also shifts to Yuki and he could see her eyes shining bright like a diamond. Lintian hurried them out. Then he heard the Fox’s mental message. Head north and you will arrive back to your clan.
Lintian looks at his watch’s compass function and found north. In order to steer clear of demonic beast in the middle of the night he had Kyuri lead the way. Kyuri’s hearing, and sight far surpass that of a human. On the way back Yuki looks around frantically. She was trying to remember the path. Lintian naturally tries to remember too.
It took them about an hour but they got back home without any harm. It was already 2am at night. Lintian already felt tired from the day’s event. His adrenaline was slowly disappearing and he could feel his fatigue setting in. Yuki on the other hand was excited and Lintian had a brief feeling he knows what Yuki was thinking.
“Yuki go back to your room before anyone finds out your gone.”
They snuck through the front door and slowly but quietly tried to sneak into their room.
When they were in the hallway there stood a figure staring down at them.
“Where have you been,” Kira asked sternly, “follow me to my room and explain everything.”
Lintian and Yuki followed Kira into his room. It was a decent size room in the two months that Lintian be here this was the first time he has been in Kira’s room. Half the room was full of gym equipments and the other half was a simple bed and a lot of different kind of swords. Ranging from war blades, thin sword, heavy sword, and other strange swords.
“Now tell me where were you?” Kira asks again.
Lintian speaks up and said, “I took Yuki into the forest in the back so she would stop worrying about not being able to find a companion.”
“You know how irresponsible that is? What if you got injured or killed? There are demonic beast in that forest. Even a tier one can kill both of you no problem,” Kira shouted quietly, “its dangerous in that forest. You know as well as I that tier one demonic beast are already in early to mid martial realm. Even I in the martial realm have trouble dealing with it. Never mind you two whose still in the refinement real first and second stage.”
Lintian and Yuki glances at each other secretly because they have been in the forest so many times and Yuki seen Lintian kill so many tier 1 and 2 boards that if anyone heard they would die of shock.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t realize it be so dangerous. I never seen one roaming around,” Lintian said feigning ignorance.
“Just don’t do it again. If dad was home he would have be in an uproar. Especially with Tsuna’s incident last time.”
“Where is dad?” Yuki asks.
“He’s still away on a business trip in the South Aerosee State. Thank god his plane got delayed. If it wasn’t he would have freaked out by now. Don’t do it again. I don’t want to see you going into that forest again until you reach martial realm,” warned Kira.
“Okay,” Yuki and Lintian replied in union.
“Now go to bed. We’re going to have a busy day tomorrow.”
“Okay big brother,” Yuki said cutely and left.
“Okay,” Lintian said and was about to leave when Kira grabs his arm.

“Lintian I know you haven’t been here for long but that forest is really dangerous. It isn’t just because some tier one and two beast that roams it. My father told me there is a tier 9 demonic beast presence in there. Also it isn’t something he has sense before. It only began to inhabit it for one year or two ago. Every time we sent in an intel assassin to investigate they never return. So my father has made the area forbidden to approach.”
“Thanks for tell me,” Lintian replied and left. When he reached his room Kyuri was already there napping. His whole body was dark black like the night. It seems he still can’t control that skill yet, Lintian thought. For the rest of the night Lintian began to research this tailed fox demonic beast.
Lintian found out that this demonic beast belongs to the tailed Fox clan. They are a rare species of Demonic Foxes that possesses a Divine bloodline and lives in the mountains in the continent of Japan. They give birth to only 1 child every 1000 years. So the question becomes what is it doing in the United Nations is a mystery. Currently in the continent of Japan there were only 5948 of these foxes alive.
This was the first time Lintian heard of a divine bloodline beast so Lintian did some research on divine bloodline demonic beast. He found out that divine bloodline demonic beasts possesses a special ability that cannot be copied through methods such as genetic manipulation. It is a special heritage that is passed down through bloodline.
Lintian woke up the next morning drooling all over his desktop table. His head still felt light. He looks around and didn't see Kyuri at all. Lintian checks his beast box and he wasn’t in there.
“Kyuri where are you?” Lintian mentally messaged.
Kyuri replied with an image of a tier one boar charging at him.
Lintian went down stairs to eat breakfast. He saw Kira, Tsuna and Yuki were all sitting there already.
Once Kira saw Lintian he stood up and announced, “Everyone I have an announcement to make.”
Lintian looks at both Yuki and Tsuna with the express that says, here we go again.
“As you all know the family town team competition is about to come up in another month. Lintian was not here before so he might not know but anyway since Yuki is already 8 and Lintian is turning 8 in another month they are able to participate and the age limit being 15. So I talked with dad and the elders before to give us all a refinement pill to cultivate for this event.”
Technically I’m already 8 Lintian thought, but his eyes lit up when he heard refinement beads.
“Also we will hold a family competition for the teams that are under the age of 13. The competition age division are 8 and 9. 10 and 11. 12 and 13. 14 and 15. Normally the family does not care for the ages 13 and under but since we have never won in any of the age groups I convinced them to give the ages 13 and lower a go.”
Lintian raised his hand and said, “is it possible for an 8 year old to be on a 10 or 11 group?”
“Normally no but if he is extremely strong then yes. Normally only the ones closes to their maximum age in the group participates since they been cultivating longer but once in a while a genius would come along. Especially 3 years ago when Trevor Fy at the age of 9 dominated the 14 and 15 category. At the age of 11 he was in the Martial realm. That training is way to frightening. After winning three years in a row he was forbidden to enter. Thats why this year will be our year. We placed fourth almost every single time but this year I also enter the martial realm and can complete on an equal level with others,” Kira explained.
“Do any of the top family children participate or is this just a ranking thing?” Lintian asked.
“Yes they do, but they generally don’t sent their strongest to participate. To them the reward and prestige is too weak but most of the family below rank 100 takes it very seriously. The winning family receives 1000 refinement pills and 300 martial pills. The problem is you have to win 3 of the 4 groups in order to receive the prize. Normally overtime one of the top 50 family compete they would win and the rest of us would try to beat their 14 and 15 group, but this year is different. The top 100 family are banned from competing so we can win this for our family.”
Yuki grabs onto Lintian’s sleeve and whispers in his ear, “we have to go back to that cave.”
