“Enough of the technique theories. Now I will explain to you how conscious energy and qi are different. This must be establish in order for you to really begin,” Dr. Harris said.

“To understand Conscious Energy we must understand how the dantian levels work. Have you ever wonder why you don’t need to start over every time you use up your qi? How you can recover 700 cubic meters worth of qi? So why can’t you just do that and cultivate all the way to Titan realm? That very restriction is caused by the conscious energy. Conscious energy is basically the soul. Except the soul is made up of three parts. The unconscious, the conscious and the ego. Do you get what I am saying so far?”

“Yes.”

“Now the conscious part of the soul is like the tip of an iceberg that shows up on the surface of an ocean while the unconscious is all the hidden parts underneath the ocean. The conscious and the unconscious works like a yin yang symbol. The unconscious supplies the conscious part process that energy and releases it through the ego. The ego is like the part that connects our body and soul. Therefore our thoughts, actions and everything is controlled by our conscious and unconscious part of our soul. They do this by channeling that energy through the ego for it to be able to affect reality by using  our body as medium to perform the actions. Now before I continue I must talk about our qi. Qi is the physical energy that the conscious control in order to make us move. Do you get it so far?”

“Yes and no. If consciousness is an energy than why do we need qi?”

“Mhmm. Let me use an example then. How about we use a car as a reference. Think of the car as the body and think of qi like the gas or electricity for our car. Now we have gas and electric in the car. That means the car is able to move right?” 

“Yeah.”

“Wrong! Now we need the conscious part which is us human beings. We as humans steer and control the car. We press the car gas petal in order to make it go faster or slower. The conscious energy is basically the same thing. It is the very essence of our life. Without it we would just be a lump of meat, and bone with qi just like the car without a driver.”

“Oh, I get it now,” Lintian said like everything just click in his brain.

“This is the very basics of the interactions between these three parts. Now for qi. Our dantian increases in size every time we reach the required amount of qi in one stage but how come we can get back the same amount of qi we use than when we cultivate? The reason is simple. It is the conscious energy or our soul. Our soul uses a protective energy on our cultivation. A restriction so to speak. It forces qi from over flowing in our body. We use our meridian points to force more qi into our body. Which pushes the restriction to be bigger on our dantian or else we really only need one hour to raise a stage in cultivation. Pretty much the meridian points are safety locks that we are constantly breaking. Think of it like how our brain puts a limit on how many percentages of our muscles we can use and it only lifts this restriction when we are in extreme danger. This is because if we are constantly in high stress we will die faster.”

“Why can’t we just break the restriction and put it back when we level up? Like can we just remove the restriction and then put it back once we reach a new realm?”

“Haha,” laughs Dr. Harris, “now you're thinking like a spell master. No, we can’t do that. As bad as it sounds when we discover this 500,000 years ago many countries over the world began experimenting this on other humans. Once removed you can never put the restriction back. The energy would keep growing and reforming, that your soul simply would not be powerful enough to hold it back. We found out that the soul is link with our qi and also grows stronger the more qi cultivated. If we think of the body as the outer later of a water balloon and the qi as water. What happens when water over flow the balloon? It pops. The same thing happened to all our human experiments. Some got into heaven’s realm before exploding all over the lab. Some even manage to reach titan realm before dying. From then on human experiments like that are forbidden in cities. Some still do it through. The reason I tell you this is because this world is not all fluff and rainbows you will meet cruelty that you never experience before. I do not approve of it but some must be done. Anyway we are getting a bit off topic.”

“Oh,” Lintian answers.

“Lets get back to topic. Lintian right now we can all control our qi and stuff but are you able to condense them into complicated seals? Probable not. These seals are intricate and requires precise control. Meaning we have to create seals and the more seals you can create the more intricate of a spell you can use. About 2 millions years ago when the first spell master discover this he use to draw out complicated diagrams to unleash this power. Well, honestly it was said he discovered it by  accident when he pour qi in his drawings. At first he thought he discovered a new form of martial arts. After 20 years of research he taught it to his disciples. Except only a few of them could  learn it. Only after another thousand year passing did the era of spell masters began. Then about a million years ago we began to use seal condensation to perform those spells that people drew before. This cause us to be able to use these powers in real world combat. Before we spell masters were just engravers and war personals. We are able to cause massive casualty by using high rank spells like inferno tornados, tsunamis, earthquake and such. Even a rank two spell master had a rank 6 noble status. We also found out that children under 13 cannot condense seals due to their mind not being developed fully yet. Thats why I can’t teach you the seals yet. It doesn’t matter how talent you are. What we can do is help you strengthen your soul. This might slow down your train a bit since you have to divide your time between being a spell master and a qi cultivator. Once you reach martial realm you can really began to condense seals. For now study that book I gave you and strengthen your soul. The strength of the soul comes from understanding. The more you understand the stronger your soul is. Thats why the Chinese monks have the strongest souls as cultivators. They ponder about everyday life in the world and this gives them insights that strengthen their soul. “Thank you Dr. Harris” Lintian said respectfully. He then left the room and went back to class. His blood was boiling in excitement. For a 8 year old brain, his mind was jumping over thousands upon thousands of thoughts. 

"Hey Lintian you done speaking with Harris?" shouted Alex, "I heard you have the talent for spell master."

"Yeah, but its gonna be another 6 to 7 years before I truly begin."

"Still spell masters now are crazy strong especially with those spell devices now that can instant cast a spell. My oldest brother is a spell master too. He's rank two this year. Still I'm the world strongest so even without that talent I will becomes the strongest and when I do if you ever need help I got you," Alex said.

"Haha of course. Alex we better get back to class before its too late."

"Oh you didn’t know? Schools canceled for the day."
