Book 3 Chapter 8: Looking Back Stupidly
Staring in his face was the void sword flying in the air. Instead of a dark purple aura it was emitting a dark bloody red aura. The aura was not an impending death but a violently enraged primordial beast. The spell arrays being used to contain it was a rank 7 spell array and was vastly stronger than the rest of the underground maze. It was an Ancestor level power of an array. Yet this sword was constantly damaging the inner layers. If not for the repairing system set up the array would have been broken a long time ago.
Even his Void sword was not that strong. If he was to compare his current void sword to this one it would be the difference between heaven and earth. Then again his void sword is
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Lintian’s first thought was to reach in and take it but upon further consideration Lintian decided not too. One of the reason is that this sword is strong enough to nearly break apart a rank 7 array.
The second part is he doesn't know if he is able to control it. If he is not able to then he would have alerted the whole building and come out of this whole thing with nothing.
“I’ll come back for you later,” Lintian said to himself.
He then began phasing through walls like a ghost. This underground network was huge. If it was anyone else it would be nearly impossible to steal anything without overwhelming strength.
Lintian phases through another wall and came to a stop. In front of him was a series of medical supplies, and all sorts of rare medical herbs, flowers, and plants. It was an alchemist paradise! Lintian might not be an alchemist maniac but seeing all of these rare ingredients brought his heart to high heaven.
A wide smile spread across his face as he began to loot the place. After thirty to forty minutes one of the interspacial ring was full of medical ingredients.
All these ingredients must add up to at least 3.7 billion in price. The only thing he regret was that the ingredients went from normal to rare. There were no super rare ingredients.
After emptying the room Lintian sets up a sleeping array at the entrance. Unless they were a spell master than upon entering they would not even notice. Also those in the King’s realm would not be affected either.
Lintian began to phase through the room again. This time he landed in the martial arts technique chamber. It was not something he could steal. There were rank 5 spells locks on each individual manual. Meaning even if he stole it he could not open them. If he was to forcible open it the spell would destroy the manual itself.
Due to that he skip the Martial Art Technique manuals. The next room he landed in was the treasure chamber. This was the real room that he wanted to be in. Inside the room he saw all sorts of weapons. Lintian saw many treasures in here but only one was giving him a feeling of greed.
It wasn't the sword, saber or spear that gave him this excitement but there was a cauldron in one of the arrays. It was literally the size of a fist but the aura it gave off was that of was that of a Heaven’s realm cauldron.
Lintian began to exam the arrays and notice that there was no lock array on it so stealing them was fine. Even if it did had a destruction array on it the weapons itself were in the heaven’s realm of strength so the chances of the array destroying it was virtually none.
Lintian began to go through the whole treasury and stuffing treasures into the interspacial ring. After half an hour all the treasures were out of their individual containers and in his ring. He then set up a sleeping array at the entrance.
From his estimate all of these treasure combines came out to a total of at least 200 billion in price. If Lintian was right then this treasure vault might be an accumulation from 500 years of wealth.
Then off he went to find the money vault. As he went from empty room to empty room. Any room that has a people he never went into.
After a while he finally found the money room. Lintian did not expect this room to be so lowly guarded. It was only a rank 4 spell array here with the room reinforce by some time of telon steel. This steel could take two hits from a heaven realm cultivator.

“Man they really careless with their money,” Lintian thought to himself.
In fact who could have predicted a person that can phase through objects to steal from them. Also not only phase through solid object but also spell arrays. Furthermore make the object they want to be able to phase too. Even through this was a world of cultivation laws still exist and laws dictate you cannot phase through an object.
Cleaning out the money vault was a lot easier than the treasure vault and the medical vault.
“These people are poor,” Lintian grumbles to himself. They had 3.7 billion in medical herbs, at least 200 billion in the treasure room, but only 50 billion in the money room.
In truth it wasn't that they were poor it was more like the money was stored in a bank.
After pillaging through all the rooms that has anything of worthy value Lintian’s total pillage came to about 316 billion qi stones.
“Well that was a lot easier than I thought,” Lintian said to himself. He went back to the void sword and sat down. He then begins to try to create a mental link with the sword but whenever he tried it was like hitting a steel wall with eggs.
“If we are meant to be I will naturally have you sooner later,” Lintian said his voice and eyes full of confidence.
Seeing, that the sword was in a distressed state Lintian walks over to the rank seven spell array that was containing the sword and added a couple rank three spell diagram of his own. The strength compared to the rank seven was like a drop of water in the ocean but thanks to the destructive power of the void sword itself. Even a drop of water will eventually erode a rock if given enough time.
Then Lintian left and went back to the room he originally landed in. Activates the phasing technique and jumps up through the ceiling and onto the ground.
After that Lintian ran for the city gate to meet up with Fang.
When Fang saw Lintian she came out from the shadows.
“How did you do?”
“Lets leave first,” said Lintian urgently.
Once they left Lintian had her travel with him for a six hours before settling down.
They arrived in a valley and Lintian opens a huge cave into the mountain. Then sets up an illusion array.
Just incase Lintian also set down a barrier array that cuts of all signal from the world. This is incase they place a tracking imprint on these weapons.
Fang was looking at Lintian in anticipation. Every little movement were caught in her eyes.
After everything was done Lintian was pulling out item after item out of the ring that held the qi stones and the treasures.
Fang stares at everything in a daze. In Fang’s eyes right now Lintian was like a golden goose shitting out money left and right.
After a couple ten minutes everything was out of one of the rings.
Fang’s eyes shifts to the next ring.
“This ring only has medical herbs. It is better if I don’t take them out,” Lintian explains.
“Oh.”
Lintian then walks over and picks up the cauldron, a Heaven’s realm sword, and puts it back in the ring. “This is mine just saying.”
“How did you do it?”
“Don’t worry about it,” winks Lintian. “Count them up and put it in your spacial ring. Take this ring too. If I were you go to a city that is 2 days away to sell these items. Keep anything you like. Lets go back and report this to Lee and Tang. They might need to help you sell all of these items. Try to sell them in three different cities this way no one gets suspicious.”
“It doesn't sound like this is your first time doing this.”
“Nope I could probable call it an occupation,” Lintian laughs heartily.
“If my estimates are correct the total for everything is at least 250 billion.”
Lintian did not take out the 50 billion in qi stones he had in the ring. Handing all of these treasure and weapons over was already a sign of good will considering the vermilion wild fruit is about 200 million here in an auction.
Thinking back to a day yesterday Lintian could help but laugh to himself. He thought that getting 20 million in a month would be hard. Right now he has 50 billion sitting in his interspacial ring after one day. I am gonna be here for four more months. I might as well do something with it Lintian thought to himself.
After a while they arrive back at the Zheng estate. On the whole ride back Fang was like a little kid that drank 10 bottle of energy drink all by herself.
“Tang! Lee! Xiang! Tang! Tang! Lee! Xiang!” she yells out. She just couldn't hold in her excitement. It was like winning the lottery for normal people.
“What are you yelling for?” Lee asks.
“Yeah what are you yelling for?” Xiang asks too as he gives Lintian a look.
“You wouldn’t believe what just happened!” Fang shouts out excitedly.
“What happen?” Tang asks extremely confused.
“How about we go to a safe room to talk about this?” Lintian suggests.
“Of course!” Fang replies giving Lintian dreamy eyes.
Seeing the look Xiang began to glare.
When they arrive they back at Tang’s room Fang said, “we need a bigger room. Also a room that blocks without out and in.”
“Okay……” Tang replies.
This time Tang brought them to an underground platform.
“Will this do?”
“Of course!” she said as she touches her interspacial ring.
