Book 3 Chapter 11: Not Alone
After being called a cheater Lintian decided it wasn't worth fighting them about it and can just prove it again. If they truly wanted to test us instead of trying to profit off of this scheme they would have put actual cultivators in those rooms and not golems. Lintian thought to himself.
“You should count yourself lucky that we let you cultivate the essence qi here for free. Usually a cultivator would have to pay 5 million qi stones to even absorb the pure essence qi here,” the teller brags.
Lintian smiles faintly and ignores here. What is five million to him now that he has 50 billion in his ring? Chump change.
“Lintian I have to go,” Tang said and handed Lintian a communication scroll. “Break it when you are ready to come back.”
“Alright I’ll see you when I get back.”
Tang walks back to the eagle and flew away.
Lintian walks over to the elemental dragon division and sat down on a mat. He could feel the lightning element, fire element, and the earth element strongly here while the other elements were hazy to him.
As he sat there the three elements began to enter his body like he was a sponge. His galaxy Dan began to revolve like a top. Those essence that were absorbed into his body became a whirlpool that were entering into the Galaxy Dan.
It is 3rd rank pure essence, Lintian gasps to himself in surprise. Like everything else in this world there are ranks to purity of essence qi here. Rank 7 is the impurest while rank one is extremely pure. Thank of rank 7 as a piece glass that has been smudged all over and rank one as being crystal clear that you think it doesn't even exist.
A second later not only were the lightning, fire, and earth essence entering into his body the other essence were also entering such as water, air, wood, metal. Even the lesser elements were being sucked into the Galaxy Dan.
It was like the essence were but specks of dusts sucked into a universes inside the Galaxy Dan.
“Still to slow,” Lintian sighs to himself. Without all his meridian points opened there is a limited amount of essence he could refine for personal use. The Galaxy Dan could absorb the essence at an incredible rate but his body could only refine one of a thousandth of the total absorbed. It might be even less since some of the essence were also being absorbed by his other two dantians while the Galaxy dan sat in his main one. His body was glowing from every single color of the rainbow.
After eighteen hours passed by and the sun went down and the sun came back up. Lintian’s rate of essence absorption could be said to be the fastest among the younger generation.
“It is time,” the Teller said to Lintian.
Lintian’s eyes opened up and the glow dimmed down. The galaxy dan was not even close to full yet.
“Lets go,” Lintian said.
Lintian was brought to a room and was body searched. Then given a set of clothes and a two swords but Lintian denies it.
There was a hint of disdain in their eyes when Lintian denied the swords but in his minds Lintian was viewing them as frogs at the bottom of the well looking up at a tiny piece of the sky.
Afterwards they led Lintian back to the same room with a similar golem. There was also four people in hoods standing at the rails upstairs watching Lintian’s every movement.

“Are you ready?” a deep hoarse voice asks.
“Yes.”
The Golems eyes lit up red and its body started to move.
Just like last time the golem powered in a straight line at Lintian. Lintian was already expecting this from the moment the golem’s eyes lit up.
Threads flew out from the ground and before the golem could reach him the golem was tied up. The threads were even stronger this time and faster. The essence absorbed and refined over the last 18 hours were not useless at all.
Lintian then used the mountain piercing blade and destroyed the golem easily. It wasn’t like a hot knife cutting through butter but it was fast.
All of this happened in less than 5 seconds.
The four individuals were dead silent pondering over every single one of Lintian’s movements.
The question on all their minds were how? How did a stage two master realm cultivator beat a golem of the ninth stage so easily? Sure they saw Lintian tie down the golem was some sort of profound thread technique but that finally attack he used they never seen anything like it. The power it contains could even inflict some damage to them who were in the Heaven’s realm. If they suppress their heaven’s qi and just use laws and strongest skill alone they would not be able to replicate that damage.
At most they would have to expand a bit of time to kill the golem and they would have to have an upper tier weapon with them.
They shook their heads and sigh, geniuses. A true genius indeed they all thought.
“You have passed. You can enter the Yin Yang Dragon’s ruin whenever you wish,” they stated.
Unlike yesterday Lintian only expanded half his qi today.
“Thank you,” Lintian answers superficially.
“Due to the confusion we will be refunding you the qi stones that you paid to take the test,” the person in the hood said sincerely. “We are only doing this because we don’t want people to go in and die needlessly. Without proper strength you can easily die in there without a way of coming back.”
“Its fine,” Lintian answers. “I originally came here to test my strength. I did not expect to beat the golem anyway. Now that I have, I am going in and see if I can obtain the inheritance.”
“Your strength at the moment is still not enough. Even through you used an outside the box method to beat the golem and proved you are a genius I hope you would take the time and train and come back when your strength is sufficient. You only have one try at these trials. Fail one and you fail them all. Pass one and you can access the resources of all seven dragons with the exception of the soul demon dragon.”
Lintian felt a little tempted to do as he say but with four months left it is either now or never to him.
“Thank you for your advise senior but I do not have the time at the moment to come back in the future.”
The hood figure sighs, “then go on ahead and good luck. May the heavens be with you.”
After he said that all four of the figures disappears into thin air. These four figures were incantations and not their true body.
I guess they are not stupid after all, Lintian laughs to himself and was out of the room.
When the teller saw Lintian come out arrogantly she knew that she had fucked up. She handed Lintian a black and white stone silently.
Lintian did not bother with her at all and received the stone. He then walks toward the Yin Yang Dragon ruin. When he arrives at the entrance the stone glowed for a second and unlocked the spell array at the entrance.
Then Lintian walks through the array. It instantly teleported him inside into the ruins. The room was dark. He could hear the cold water dripping down from the ceiling at an enchanting rhythm.
Lintian activates his dragon eyes and the room lit up like it was day time. It was a cave like room with a metal door that was sealed by an ancient array. Even Lintian could not tell how powerful it was.
The chances of him breaking it was absolutely zero. Therefore the only conclusion he could come up with is that this room was a resting area and when the time comes it will open up.
Lintian didn't know when the door would open so he decided why not increase his chance of survival? He began to put spell arrays on himself. Strength enhancement, speed enhancement, and defense enhancement. Spell arrays don't last forever so he decided to put a delay on the array. This way it only activates when he needs it.
Hours went by. Then the door opens up. When he walked out of the door Lintian found the place to be amazing. There was a bridge 2 meters wide and one mile long. When he looks up there was a bright sky with a sun. If he did know any better Lintian would have thought he was outside.
“This fucking door finally opened up,” a youth complains loudly. “Thought I was gonna die in there.”
“Calm down you were only in there for like thirteen hours.” Another youth answers.
Lintian looks around and saw seventeen youths on this large cliff with him.
Everyone was looking around suspiciously and didn't dare to talk too much. It was only those two youths from earlier that wasn't afraid to talk like they were home.
Either they are really strong or they are dumb as a goldfish, Lintian thought to himself.
“Welcome!” a deep cold voice resounded throughout the area. Lintian couldn't help but feel that this voice was eerily familiar.
