Book 2 Chapter 3:Passing Of Another 3 years

It was early in the morning and Lintian met up with Harris at one of the train stations. Not many people knew he was leaving with Harris for two years.

“Ready?” Harris asks.

“Yes,” Lintian replies. “Is Alex or Celyis coming with us?”

“No, this is just for you. I already set them up with the next best teacher,” Harris gave a wink.

“Why?”

“Because what they need for training is different from your’s.”

“Oh,” Lintian said.

“Come lets get going,” Harris said as he got on the train. Lintian looks behind and got on the train too.

“So where are we going?” Lintian asks.

“Our first location? It is the Kilauea Volcano. It is the hottest volcano in the US. Not many people knows this but there is a location inside the volcano that contains the richest Fire qi on this continent. It is a grade 3 fire qi.”

Lintian thought it sounded impressive but he has no idea what Harris was saying about fire qi.

“Hahaha oh I forgot you were in coma for three years. So for each elemental qi there is a grade to it. Some are better than others. For example the purest lightning qi without going through a purification process would be a lightning bolt from a storm cloud. Those Lightning bolts are usually grade 3 just like the fire qi from this volcano. The purer the qi you absorb the stronger your elemental martial art skills would be too. For example someone in the Master realm who absorbed grade 1 elemental qi would be able to contest a King’s realm expert who absorbed a grade nine qi. So grade one would be the strongest while grade nine would be the weakest.”

“Wow,” Lintian said in surprise. Lintian wonders what grade of Lightning qi he absorbed before.

“You are honestly very lucky to not possess the water or earth element affinity. Those two elements are the hardest to find. The reason being the earth element is this world. The water element is part of this would. It is not easily nurtured by the world.”

“So is there any other benefits besides being better than other cultivators in those elements?” Lintian asks.

“Yes, there are. Body refinement. It will reconstruct, and reinforce the strength of the element into the body. The better the grade the better the refinement process is. For example if you absorb the fire qi from that volcano your immunity to fire would be multiplied by a 1000 verse 10 if you absorb a grade 8 or 9 fire qi.”

Lintian was beginning to understand this because Rashu has told him once before when he was going through the lightning refinement process. Rashu didn’t go through a detailed explanation but it was still helpful. With Harris help he was able to fill in the blanks himself.

Time passed and Lintian grew taller and stronger. In those two years they would travel all around the US. Harris tried to combine as much as possible into those two years. He would teach Lintian the basics of a rank one spell master techniques and tricks. Lintian caught on really quick and allowed Harris to teach Lintian the spells of a rank three spell master within a year. While this was going on Lintian was also training himself in fire and lightning elemental qi while trying to open up more meridian points. Furthermore Harris was teaching Lintian how the world works and would travel to desolate areas to help out the village or towns. Through those days spent together Harris and Lintian grew closer and closer together. It is to the point that Lintian sees Harris as a close uncle and Harris sees him a close blood relative. Also Harris told Lintian to call him uncle Harris from now on and that was what Lintian did. It felt natural coming out from his mouth.

Furthermore in two years time Lintian went from the first stage of the martial realm to the fifth stage of the Martial realm. This speed is pretty fast compared with people at his school. Who would take an average of 6 to 7 months to break through a level. The faster ones would be 4 months. In two years time even with all those distractions he was able to break through a stage each month. Generally speaking it is always breaking through from one realm to another that is the hardest. Sometimes it would take up to a year or more for someone to be able to break through.

When Lintian got back to the school everyone was at the very least in the first stage of the martial realm. The weaker ones were only at the tenth stage of the refinement realm. After two years Alex was now one stage behind Lintian at the fourth of the martial realm and Celyis was at the third of the martial realm. These three students were truly at the peak of the school.

As for first rate schools most students were in the first stage of the Master realm. Some faster than others would be at the 3rd and fourth. Anyway this might not seem like a lot of first rate school focus a lot more on building the base and prohibits students from using cultivation pills to increase the rate of cultivation. They do however allow them one Heaven qi pills a year to cultivate with. Due to this even if two students were at the same level the difference would be heaven and earth. It is like comparing a student who reads the theories in books and the students who actually applied the theories. If not for this restriction most of these students would be in the King’s realm.

Lintian’s style of cultivation was a bit similar to theirs’ since Harris also prohibits Lintian from using cultivation pills too.

Anyway back at the school another year and a few months has passed. Lintian now has 23 meridian points opened. It was fall. Lintian’s cultivation was now at the tenth of the martial realm. In the school he was able to purely focus on cultivation and strengthening the soul. Furthermore Lintian also took an interest in alchemy but found it quite annoying and only studied a bit of it. In a year he became a rank 2 alchemist. The teacher was quite distraught after finding such a genius only to find out he quit after a year. Apparently even bribery doesn't work with Lintian.

Lintian woke up from a nice nap on top of a tree branch. Being the strongest student in the school was quite boring. There were no one to challenge. He was fourteen and a half this year. It was like any other day. Kyuri who was now a tier three demonic beast was out in the forest hunting most of the time. Except today he was resting on top of Lintian in chihuahua size form. It was four o clock and everyone has gone home except the kids that live here. Lintian lets out a sigh. It was the 11th month of the year and the fight was the first of next year. Lintian felt that his current strength was enough to fight a fourth stage Master realm cultivator. This is because the fifth stage of any realm was special. He needs to break through to he Master realm soon.

Lintian’s stomach grumbles a bit. (-_-) Lintian frowned a bit and hops down from the tree. Can’t cultivate on an empty stomach. Kyuri also woke up from this sudden change and descends onto the ground.

“Kyuri I need a ride,” Lintian said with a smile.

“…”

“Come on Kyuri you’re not gonna make me jog 15 miles are you?”

“Take a car…”

“No money?”

“Booosssss,” Kyuri whines.

“I’ll tree you to rage cow beef later?”

“Boss I thought you got no money?”

Lintian gave a mischievous smile.

Kyuri saw that smile. “Okay lets go.”

This has happened many times over the year and Kyuri has connected that smile to delicious meat. There were no raging cow beef in the forest that he could hunt. Furthermore Kyuri even tried to persuade Lintian to raise some cows but Lintian was too busy too.
