"Oi, oi~ let me in on the murder party, won't you?" Sol smiled at them. He walked carelessly towards the Basilisk. But he didn't make eye contact with it as his eyes were locked with the kneeling Tom and Colin.
"Close your eyes!" Sol ordered the Basilisk in Lamiaspeak. The Basilisk slammed its eyelids shut, shivering. The pressure on Tom and Colin continued and kept them on their knees. Sol looked at the Basilisk now that there wasn't any risk of dying. He closed in on it and caressed its scales. Its shivering body went deathly still.
"Open your mouth," Sol 'requested' in a soothing tone. The Basilisk unhinged its jaw. Inside its red mouth, Sol saw two fangs on the upper jaw and small, sharp teeth on the bottom. Because of the Basilisk's size, the small, sharp teeth were as big as daggers and the two dominant fangs were 2 feet tall. There was a long, forked tongue resting in its mouth. On each fang, there was a hole at the end, presumably where the venom sprays from. Sol took a small vial from his satchel and held it under one of its fangs.
"Care to give me some of your venom, love?" As soon as Sol asked, a thick, dark-violet liquid flowed from the holes on its fangs into the vials. After it was full, Sol stopped it. Looking at the vial full of venom in his hands, Sol smiled in satisfaction. He was about to test it on his skin when...
"W-Who are you?" Tom Riddle's voice rang out from behind him. Sol put the vial back into his satchel and turned around.
"What do you mean?" Sol asked with a playful smile on his face. "I've talked so much with you. I even let you penetrate me."
"Don't say things like that!" Tom grit his teeth and looked at Sol in disbelief. Is this the kind of thing you should be saying at this juncture?
Sol grinned and walked towards Tom. As he was in front of the kneeling Tom, he sat down cross-legged, bringing them to eye-level. "Why are the both of you kneeling? I didn't tell you to do that now, did I?"
"Despicable!" Tom spat out with a malignant expression. Sol reached out his hand in front of him. "What are you doing?" Tom asked, a bit fearfully. He saw Sol reaching his hand out and take the black diary from under him.
"No!" Tom roared and mustered the last bit of strength he had to stop Sol. He tried to grab him, only to see his hands pass through Sol. He looked at his hands in disbelief and then looked at Sol. He had a mocking grin as he looked at Tom.
"You are but a mere memory, not even having consolidated enough power," Sol spoke slowly, his words felt as though they were stabbing Tom one after another. "You should know your fate by now, Voldemort."
"How...?" the shock and helplessness he felt made Tom's brain unable to comprehend.
"Knew from the beginning," as Sol spoke, Tom's face grew paler. The graceful and suave bearing he had at first was now nowhere to be seen. "Or if you can't accept that answer-" Sol pointed at the kneeling Colin who had a dumbfounded expression on his face, "-I was there when he called you Voldemort, no?"
"You-" Tom tried to speak again but was cut off by Sol who had a bored expression on his face. With a sigh, he said, "Don't spew some shit about joining forces with me or try to threaten me. It's fucking overused and honestly clichéd. And since this won't work, let me guess, you'll threaten me with my family. You'll say something like, 'I know your name so don't even think of having a peaceful life' or some shit like that. It would work if you weren't just a memory and had a direct connection with Voldemort. And even if you did, I wouldn't really care." Sol then abruptly covered his mouth with a hand, "It seems I've been monologuing too much-" He started walking towards the Basilisk, "-now would be the perfect time for someone to come and thwart me. Saving the heroes in the nick of time or something along those lines." He threw a mocking smile at Colin as he walked. The kneeling Colin shot him a scornful look which was filled with disbelief.

Sol sighed as he stood in front of the Basilisk's mouth, "Haah~ let's end this." He spoke in Lamiaspeak, "Bite down on this." Upon his command, the Basilisk opened its mouth. Sol placed the diary right beneath one of its fangs and took his hand out.
"NO!" Tom reached his hands out as he saw the Basilisk bite down. As soon as the venom-filled fangs penetrated the diary, Tom recoiled with a shriek. His body had cracks and holes in it, all of them emitting light. Tom staggered but didn't fade away.
"Two more should do it," Sol murmured as he saw the scene before him. He then turned around to the Basilisk, "Do it twice more!"
The Basilisk opened its mouth and bit down. Yet again, Tom's body became riddled with holes and cracks, it looked like he was on the verge of falling apart. "DO NOT-" with the final bite, Tom's body exploded in blinding radiance. After watching that light show, Sol took out the black diary from the Basilisk's mouth. It had a big hole in the middle with dark-purple venom corroding it. He shook the venom off and set it down nearby. After all was said and done, he directed his attention to Colin who was still kneeling. He shot Colin a questioning gaze.
Why is he still kneeling? No, why is he kneeling in the first place?
As Sol walked over to him, Colin spluttered out, "W-What are you going to do with me?" Sol felt baffled when he heard him say that with an indignant and fearful look on his face.
Hey, now! You're making it seem as though I'm the bad guy!
Sol shook his head, refusing to entertain him. With a flick of his wand, Sol put Colin to sleep. He looked at the sleeping Colin, a greedy and intrigued look emerged on his face.
I want his memories. It'll help me loads but...
Sol slowly reached out his hands to grab Colin's head but as soon as it got close, red electricity emerged from Colin's head and attacked Sol's hands. It arced around Sol's hands and burned him. Sol took his hands back and sighed. He understood that this wasn't Colin's power, rather the Law Of The World trying to stop him. And with Sol's understanding, since the Law Of The World stopped him there was no way to take his memories. He looked at Colin with cold eyes.
I can't tamper with his memories so now I basically have one option. But before that...
Sol looked at the Basilisk. "Can you survive on magic power?" The Basilisk nodded. Sol thought that was the case. But now with the Basilisk's confirmation, Sol affirmed his conjecture. This Basilisk has been here since Salazar Slytherin's time. With the state of this chamber, it seemed that no one visited in a few centuries. So, it seems the Basilisk hibernated and satiated itself with magic power from the atmosphere.
"Come with me," Sol ordered the Basilisk and flicked his wand at it.
"Reducio!" with a chant, a green bolt of light flew out of the tip of Sol's wand and landed on the Basilisk. The air around the Basilisk swirled and instantly it shrunk. After the air settled, Sol looked at the shrunken Basilisk. It was around 55 cm and slithered towards Sol. It wrapped around Sol's leg slowly climbing up his body, its eyes still closed. It came up to Sol's arm and wrapped itself around.
"Hmm~ you're a girl. So I should give you a feminine name." Sol thought for a while before his eyes lit up. He looked at the Basilisk and smiled, "I'll name you Iris. Here have a treat." Sol channeled his mana to gather around the Basilisk who promptly absorbed it. She bobbed her head jovially.
Sol looked at Iris' shut eyes and sighed ruefully, "I'll have to do something about this. Can't just keep you blind like this."
Sol gathered mana in front of his eyes but not in them. The mana became dense in front of his eyes and he looked at Iris. "Open your eyes!" he commanded. Iris opened her eyes and Sol looked straight at them. As predicted, the small barrier made of raw mana in front of his eyes nullified the abilities of her eyes. Sol smiled happily before redirecting his attention to the sleeping Colin.
"Let's finish this..."
After a while, Colin woke up. He opened his eyes and looked at the ceiling overhead, It was damp and green-grey in color. He rubbed his eyes and sat up. He looked around and saw no one around him.
"Where is that guy?" Colin stood up and scratched his head. He didn't see the diary or the 60-foot Basilisk. "Did he kill it?" Colin stood there, muttering to himself. As he was about to leave for the exit, he felt a tap on his shoulder.
"What-?" Colin snapped his head around to look who's behind him, only to look at a small bluish-grey snake floating in mid-air. Its body was coiled up. Yellow eyes with slit irises stared at him.
Thud!
Colin fell to the ground, breathing his last. Even in his death, he couldn't understand why the Basilisk became so small or why it was floating. After Colin fell, Sol reappeared. Iris was wrapped around his arm which was raised. He had a cruel smile on his face. He looked at Iris with a playful expression, "Let's see whether or not my acting skills have rusted."
