Sol had just finished being interrogated by Dumbledore and was now heading to his classes. Today was Potions, History Of Magic, and Herbology class. He had already gotten his books for the class from the dorm.
He entered the Potions classroom but didn’t see Professor Snape on his desk.
Guess I'm not late.
He quickly came to his table where Katie was also standing. Katie had been selected as his partner during the first year and it hadn’t changed. Partners wouldn’t change for the entirety of their time in Hogwarts.
“I hope Snape doesn’t dock too many points from us this time,” Katie disliked Snape who would show heavy favoritism to the Slytherins.
“Keep on hoping then,” Sol really didn’t believe her hopes would change anything. He gave an answer just for the sake of giving one.
“You're the reason why my wishes never work. If only you hoped with me…”
“Me?! I’m the reason Snape doesn’t dock points from you.”, Sol was flabbergasted. Even if you should joke, at least think it through.
“Well, that's-“, Katie tried to retort however was interrupted by Sol who gestured at Snape who was coming into the room.
Snape walked behind his desk and surveyed the room. After seeing that everyone was present, he spoke, “Today we shall learn…”
A While Later
Sol was walking to the match grounds with Katie and Cormac. His classes had just finished and now he was on his way to attend the Quidditch match as per Harry's request.
Sol had no problems with classes except Herbology. Well, Professor Snape just wrote down the recipe for a potion on the blackboard and told the students to make a potion according to said recipe. Professor Binns just lectured on and on about the Goblin War. And on Herbology, they had to deal with Mandrake plants. Sol absolutely loathed this world's Mandrakes. Though the Mandrakes he knew were really dangerous and would kill any animal it saw(humans included), at least they didn’t scream all the time like their asses caught fire. Oh my God, were they annoying!
Sol tried to put that matter behind him and concentrated on the conversation.
“We'll finally see Harry in action!” Katie had been excited about this match ever since she heard about it.
Sol shook his head but his subtle action was noticed by Katie.
“Hey! Why are you shaking your head?! You got something to say?”, Katie pointed a finger at him in an authoritative manner.
Sol looked at her for a bit before smiling, “And how's your practice going, Kate?”
“That's-“
“Hah! Her practice? It’ll take her at least two more years to get into the team,” Cormac shook his head.
Sol just looked at him as if he had done something amazing
Damn! The dude's got balls of steel. You couldn’t pay me to say that.
And as Sol was being impressed, Katie landed a hook to Cormac's stomach.
“Ugh!”, Cormac cried out as he bent over. Then Katie pulled out her wand and yelled.
Colloshoo!
Instantly a Cormac's shoes became stuck to the ground but he hadn’t noticed that. Katie started walking off and Sol behind her. When Cormac straightened up and saw his friends going farther and farther away from him, he tripped when he tried to follow.
Cormac, now on the ground looked at his shoes and saw them being stuck in the ground because of some green adhesive. He turned around to look at Katie, “Oi! What the hell?!”
But his cries were paid no heed as both Sol and Katie walked off. Sol turned to Katie after taking one last look at Cormac who was now trying to unstuck his shoes.
“You sure that was the right thing to-”
However, before he could finish, Katie cast the spell on him. But he jumped away from the target, rendering her spell useless.
“What did I do?!”, Sol was incensed. He recounted the events and concluded that he did nothing.
“My practice is going fine! You don’t need to worry about it!”
“You cast a spell at me for that shitty of a reason?! Oh, that does it!” Sol got his wand and pointed it at her.
Crinus Muto!
Immediately after Katie's hair began to change. Her short hair became longer and it took on a pink hue. She became more and more shocked as she witnessed the changes.
“AHHH!! CHANGE IT BACK!!”, she screamed expecting him to do so.
But the smile on Sol's voice had vanished, “Not unless you say, ‘Sorry for sneak attacking you. I’ll never do it again’.”
“NO! I WON'T!!” As soon as she said that, Sol's eyes turned cold. He walked towards Katie before leaning into her ear.
He said in a whisper no one else could hear, “I hate sneak attacks.”
His tone sent a shiver down her spine. She opened he mouth but before she could say anything, Sol had already walked off. She was left behind with an aggrieved and puzzled look on her face.
I’ve never seen him this angry before.
Sol had reached the grounds after ‘warning' Katie. He took a spot on the stands allocated to the Gryffindor students. The stands were situated on wooden towers covered by cloth. Quidditch is a sport in which people fly around with brooms, one really can’t see what’s going on from the ground now, can they? Each house has its own stands with the colors of their houses marking it. Teachers also have a separate stand.
For today’s match, it was Gryffindor against Slytherin. Also as a side note, it was Harry's first match as a seeker. Though if one saw the atmosphere among the students in the Gryffindor common room, they would understand that this was the main point of focus. The Gryffindor put their emphasis on this being Harry's first match rather than the match itself. Sol could kind of see where they were coming from. Quidditch matches happen every year, but seeing the first Quidditch match of a first-year seeker is something that happens rarely.
Sol took his seat and looked at the field. Each end of the oval-shaped field was covered with sand and had three poles sticking out of them. Each of these poles was of different heights and had rings on top of them. These rings were the goalposts. Each goal awarded you 10 points. There were four balls in the game: a Quaffle, two Bludgers, and a Golden Snitch. Also, there are 4 positions: the Chasers, the Beaters, the Goalie, and the Seeker. The Chasers run around with the Quaffle and try to score points by throwing them through the hoop. The Beaters carry bats and use them to ‘beat’ the bludgers towards opponent chasers. The Goalie is in charge of defending the three rings and the Seeker is tasked with catching the Golden Snitch. The game ends when one of the teams catches the Snitch or when two teams reach an agreement. Catching the Snitch nets you with 150 points.
There are also some fouls but Sol doubts the Slytherin players will adhere to them. The game will start in a few minutes and the excitement has reached its climax. Though this could be pre-game anticipation because Sol is certain that once the game starts the excitement will reach through the roof. He looks in front of him to see Hermione and Ron looking at the field with a pair of binoculars. Hey! Hagrid's here too.
Damn! I feel bad for whoever’s behind him.
Katie soon comes and quietly takes a seat beside Sol. Sol doesn’t turn to look at her but feels her stealing glances at him once in a while. Sol sees that she has a hesitant and guilty look on her face. He smiles inwardly.
Let's see… I should start by ignoring her. I will not let my reading of ‘How To Guilt-trip Your Child' go to waste.
As he was instructed by the book, Sol doesn’t look at her and fixes his gaze to the field where both the teams have come out and are now surrounding Madam Hooch, the referee of the game.
Katie right about now was feeling really guilty with a hint of confusion. She kept looking at Sol but he wouldn’t even turn to look at her as if she wasn’t even there. Having never been on the receiving end of such treatment from Sol, she was feeling really sad. As such, she was frantically trying to think about what she did wrong and what she should do next.
What did I do?! All I did was try to stick his shoes to the ground. Wait, he said that he didn’t like sneak attacks. Does that mean I should’ve told him about my attack before attacking him? Right, I messed up real bad. I’ll apologize to him and I’ll try to warn him before I attack next time.
So, unbeknownst to Sol, his plan to ignore her did not go as planned. If he had known what she thinking, he certainly would've reprimanded her, “You think too much!”

Down in the field, Madam Hooch threw the Quaffle up in the air and the players started flying around to take a hold of it. The beginning of the game went smoothly for the Gryffindor team. Angelina smoothly scored the first goal and the spectators erupted with cheers. Though the spectators from Slytherin were booing and looked a bit downcast. The Slytherin team’s captain, Marcus Flint, a fourth-year like Wood also attempted to score only to be blocked by the latter. Having been blocked, Marcus glared at Wood who just shrugged. Sol could totally see why Wood would not be threatened in the slightest. Marcus’s face had a bit of a buck-teeth problem but that was the least of his problems. I mean having buck-teeth wasn’t a problem but having teeth that looked like you got punched in the mouth one too many times was a problem. With a face like that, even a child would find it tough to hold back his laughter should you glare at him. At times like these, Sol was thankful for his decent appearance. Though it didn’t matter because restructuring bones wasn’t that hard a thing to do.
Gryffindor scored another goal and with that, it was 20-0 in Gryffindor's favor. Slytherin tried to score another goal only to be blocked by Wood again. Marcus was now thoroughly annoyed. He flew over to one of their team's beaters and did a hilarious thing. He took the beater's bat and as the Bludger came towards him, he beats it towards Wood.
Bonk!
Wood got hit in the face by the beater. He flew backward and hit the back of his head on the rings before falling down to the sand.
“Aww!”, both the Gryffindor players and the spectators felt angry at Marcus's dirty trick.
“Pfft~ haha!”, Sol clutched his stomach as he was having trouble breathing from laughing too hard. He wiped the tears off the corner of his eyes and realized that everyone was glaring at him.
He nonchalantly surveyed them before saying, “What? It was funny as hell!”
“Wood just got hit in the face with a bludger!”, Hermione emphasized.
“Pfft~ yep! I saw that- er, I mean-“ Sol coughed and put on a serious expression, “-yes it's very terrible. Poor boy.”
“Ugh! You’re hopeless!”, Hermione angrily turned her head around.
“Ah, come on Hermione. I didn’t mean it. I won’t do it again… probably.” Sol apologized quickly. If there was one thing he learned from the Bro Code his memories, it was how to pick up chicks that women with grudges were scary. You’d never know when you’d wake up castrated.
“Good to know you’ve reflected,” Hermione nodded.
Katie felt a bit displeased as she watched this scene. A sense of discomfort welled up within her. She snuck a glance at who was smiling and joking with the others. Her sense of discomfort increase though the reason changed.
After Wood got taken out, Slytherin scored their first goal. It was followed by cheers from the spectators in the Slytherin stands. After scoring a goal, Alicia from Gryffindor had gotten the Quaffle and was making a run for the Slytherin goal. However, she was flanked on both sides. The two Slytherin chasers stuck to both sides of her and started guiding her(in a bad way). She was unable to get out and started going straight for the stands. However, before she hit the stands, the two Slytherin chasers stuck at her sides took the ball from her and left while she couldn’t stop herself and fell into the cloth covering the stands. She fumbled around within the scaffolding of the stands and finally fell out the bottom.
This caused her to be taken out of the game which was followed by booing from the Gryffindor spectators and cheers from the Slytherin ones. Sol started shaking and had to bite his lips to stop himself from laughing out loud.
Right this moment, Slytherin had scored another goal and Harry had taken sight of the Snitch. He started going after it which caused Sol's attention to be shifted to Harry. Harry sped up after the snitch. As he was inching closer to the snitch, he started jerking around on his broom like he was in a rodeo. Sol felt confused.
Is this a new strat? Just what the fuck is he doing? Is he even doing it?
Sol activates Mana Eyes to see if Harry was really doing something or if something was wrong with his broom. He saw that there was a different kind of mana interfering with the broom's mana. Sol traced the mana back to its source only to see Professor Quirrel, locking eyes on Harry's broom and muttering something.
Why is he chanting a broom jinx?
Sol also noticed that below him, Snape was doing the same however he was chanting a counter-curse to stop Quirrell. However, he was unable to do so against Quirrell's strength.
What the fuck is wrong with you two?
At this moment, Hermione cried out, “It's Snape! He’s jinxing the broom!”
“Jinxing the broom?! What do we do?”, Ron who was beside her asked.
“Leave it to me,” assured Hermione as she started to leave. However, a hand on her shoulder prevented her from doing so.
“There’s no need for that. Look, it stopped,” Sol stated. As soon as he saw Quirrell jinxing the broom, Sol had already sent out his mana to block him. So, Harry's broom stopped jerking around and the boy who had almost fallen off was now holding onto the broom like one would a push-up bar. He pushed himself up and mounted the broom again before he sped off towards the Snitch.
Hermione saw Harry stabilizing and quickly peered through the binocular again to see Snape sitting there and observing. Seeing her looking through the binoculars Sol guessed who she was looking at, “It's not Snape. Look at Quirrell.”
As instructed Hermione shifted her gaze towards Quirrell who was now sweating and furiously chanting a jinx but to no avail. Hermione was dumbfounded as she could recall no reason as to why Quirrell would do such a thing, “Why...?”
“Don't know but look at Harry,” Sol pointed out. Harry was now contesting for the Snitch against the Slytherin seeker. They were neck-to-neck as they tried to ram each other off. The Snitch in front of them buzzing around at a terrible speed. It was very hard to spot for the spectators though not for Sol who had Mana Eyes. The Snitch suddenly made a dive as well as its two pursuers. The Snitch kept on diving and came very close to the ground. The Slytherin seeker who was stuck next to Harry started to become afraid as he was diving towards the ground at a high-speed alongside Harry. He kept looking at Harry to see if he would back off but seeing the resolve in his eyes, the Slytherin seeker quickly lifted himself up before he hit the ground and flew away. Harry however continued diving. The Snitch suddenly started flying horizontally as it was about to hit the ground and Harry did the same and was now behind the Snitch in hot pursuit. Harry started coming closer to the Snitch as both he and the Snitch were just inches above the ground. Harry started standing up on his broom and teetered towards the front of it, reaching his hand out to grab the Snitch. As he was about to grab it, his weight on the front of the broom caused the broom to tilt forwards which made Harry fall off and lunge towards the Snitch. He tumbled on the ground for a bit before coming to a stop.
The crowd ‘Ooh’d and ‘Aah’d as Harry got up and started gagging.
“It looks like he’s going to be sick!”, Hagrid exclaimed as he put the large pair of binoculars down.
Harry gagged a final time before the Snitch popped out of his mouth and into his hand. Sol was amazed.
Damn! Dude's so high-leveled that he doesn’t even need hands to catch the Snitch.
“Harry Potter has caught the Snitch! Gryffindor WINS!!”, the commentator announced and the crowd went wild. Amidst everyone’s cheers, the Slytherins had their heads down as they felt a bit blue losing the match.
The Gryffindor players flew above Harry as he held the Snitch above his head and waved it around with a huge smile on his face.
Sol was clapping with the others and snuck a peek at Katie who was doing the same with a smile on her face.
Now, for the final blow! Just like the book told me: ‘For added effect, go about your normal day while ignoring them'.
Sol quickly reverted Katie's hair which was still long and pink. Katie noticed and had a bit of a shocked smile on her face as she turned to look at Sol. But he just stood up and went after Hagrid who was walking off with Hermione and Ron.
Katie felt even more scared as she thought that Sol became angrier.
Is he saying that he won’t bother with me anymore?!
As Sol left Katie who was guilt-stricken and scared, he was joined by Harry and the four of them and Hagrid walked off towards Hagrid's hut.
After congratulating Harry on winning the game, Hermione told them how Quirrell was binding the broom.
“Nonsense! Why would Quirrell try to put a curse on Harry's broom?”, Hagrid asked.
“I don’t know! Sol told me. I thought it was Snape.”, exclaimed Hermione.
“That's even more ridiculous! Why would Snape try to put a curse on Harry's broom?”
“Something's a bit off in this conversation,” thought Sol.
“Who knows? Why was he trying to get past that three-headed dog on Halloween?”, Harry asked.
Sol looked a bit confused.
Did he just say ‘three-headed dog'?
“Did you say there was a three-headed dog?”, Sol asked.
“Yeah! Bloody Hell! They told us not to go in the forbidden room but never told us that there was a three-headed dog there!”, Ron cried out.
Sol became a bit fearful at first. When he heard that there was a three-headed dog here, his mind immediately thought of the Cerberus. That’s not something he could handle in this world. However, his mind soon became eased as he remembered that the Cerberus here was nothing more than a big dog with three heads. That’s why it was not called Cerberus but instead three-headed dogs.
Hagrid squinted at them, “Who told you about Fluffy?”
“Fluffy?!”, Ron cried out.
“That thing has a name?”, Hermione asked.
“Well, of course, he’s got a name. He's fine. Bought him off an Irish fella I met there at the pub last year. Then I went him to guard the…” Hagrid started ranting before he abruptly stopped.
“Yes?” asked Harry.
“Shouldn't have said that… No more questions! Don’t ask any more questions! That’s top-secret, that is!”, Hagrid exclaimed.
“But Hagrid, whatever Fluffy's guarding, Snape tried to steal it!”, Harry told him.
Sol felt flabbergasted.
What led you to that conclusion! Wait, do they know something I don’t?
Hagrid bent down and looked at them seriously, “Codswallop! Snape is a Hogwarts teacher!” He then sighed, “Listen to me. All three of you! You’re meddling in things that are ought not to be meddled in. It’s dangerous. Whatever that dog's guarding is strictly between Professor Dumbledore and Nicholas Flamel.
“Nicholas Flamel?”, Harry asked before looking at Ron.
“Nicholas Flamel?!”, Sol cried out. “The that means, Fluffy is guarding…”
Hagrid sucked in a cold breath ad air as he realized his blunder, “Shouldn't have said that. I shouldn’t have said that…”
Hagrid walked off to his hut, leaving the four behind. Harry, Ron, and Hermione looked at Sol, “Do you know who that is?”
“I do.”
“Mind telling us?”, Ron asked.
“If I did, wouldn’t you three just rush off to find it?”, Sol guessed.
“No, we wouldn’t.”, Hermione promised.
“Fine, I’ll tell you but on one condition.”, Sol relented.
“What is it?”
“After I told you, you absolutely can’t rush after it,” Sol bent over and whispered at them, “If you do, then I’ll just hang you naked on the astronomy tower for everyone to see.”
That threat sent a shiver down the three's spine. They didn’t know why but it felt like Sol would absolutely do something like that. They looked at him fearfully.
Sol seeing their reaction tried to console them, “Ah, right. I won’t do that to Hermione. I’m not that inhumane to do that to a girl.”
Hermione exhaled a sigh of relief, “Than-“
“I'll just turn her into a clown for three days,” Sol continued as Hermione finally understood that she wouldn’t get out of this if they didn’t listen to his words.
“Then, never mind…”, the three felt it would be better if they didn’t learn who Nicholas Flamel was from Sol.
“Good choice. Then I’ll see you three in the common room.” Sol said as he walked off. As he was walking off, he suddenly turned around to call them, “Oi~ you three. Even if I didn’t tell you, don’t go off to find whatever it is that’s down there. Even if I won’t do anything, there's a three-headed dog down there. If you die down there, Katie would be sad, you know?”
Sol started walking off again. Unbeknownst to the three, he had a huge smile on his face.
Haha! There’s a Philosopher’s Stone down there! Now I have to get that. It’ll improve my magic by leaps and bounds.
Sol had already started planning.
Gryffindor Common Room, Late At Night
Sol was still up as he was thinking about how to get the stone. He got up from the sofa and went to a table to drink a glass of water. As he was drinking, a door opened upstairs.
He kept sipping his water as a figure came downstairs. He knew it was Katie. As she came closer, he noticed that she had watery, red eyes and was grabbing at the ends of her pajamas.
She looked at him before hanging her head, “I’m sorry! I’ll warn you before I attack next time.”
“Keuk!” Sol coughed as he choked on his water. He looked at her, feeling a bit amazed.
The script's a bit wrong!
