"Mr. Balor, back so soon?!" Professor McGonagall was standing in the courtyard with one of the other professors. She looked at Sol inquisitively as he was heading inside the castle whilst the others were still at Hogsmeade. The Professor felt his behavior to be odd as most third years would excitedly look around Hogsmeade on their first visit.
"Sorry, Professor. It seems I've drunk one too many butterbeers," Sol clutched his stomach and let out a painful expression.
"What are you apologizing for? Go to the infirmary wing and ask Madam Pomfrey for some potions," her expression eased up. Many students have had this problem over the years and Sol wasn't the first one. Though she felt that something was odd, she let Sol go first.
"Thank you, professor." Saying that Sol left the professors and headed inside the castle. Sol went to the infirmary wing as advised to cover his tracks. After getting a potion from Madam Pomfrey, he started to head towards the third floor. He tried to be as stealthy as possible. During Hogsmeade trips, aside from a professor supervising the trip, the first and second years would still have classes.
With a Disillusionment charm cast on himself, Sol made his way towards the girl's bathroom. However, as he was approaching the girl's bathroom, he heard a voice from inside.
"Here's the snake design on the tap. And beneath here is the Chamber of Secrets."
Sol froze. Chamber of Secrets? Hearing those words, the diary inside Sol's sweater started heating up. He looked in its direction. Does the Chamber of Secrets have something to-? However, Sol stopped speaking as the next words he heard stunned him.
"It looks exactly like the movies. Is Moaning Myrtle somewhere here as well?"
Sol staggered. He walked to a side and it seemed as though all life had been drained from him. He sat down on the floor, leaning his back against the walls of the hallway. Burying his head in his knees, he silently laughed. Haha...I guessed it to be the case but hearing it from the horse's mouth really... As Sol lamented, the reincarnator kept on going, "It seems like she isn't here. Anyway, let's head inside. Hope the movies were right."
Sol looked towards the door where he could see Colin, looking at the door.
"Open!" he heard him say something in Lamiaspeak but it felt unrefined as though it had a heavy accent or as if he had heard an illiterate man pronounce a difficult word. Sol's attention immediately shifted towards the bathroom. Because the series of sinks arranged in a circle started shifting. The sinks slid forward and the sink with the snake etched on the tap, slide forward then lowered into a chamber downwards into the grate surrounding the sinks. A part of the grate opened up allowing the sink to go inside it and after it was inside, the grate closed the opening. The entrance to the Chamber of Secrets had come into view and it was a circular hole on the floor. Sol's eyes shone as he looked at the hole on the floor. Colin took a step forward and peered into the hole. The lack of light made it look like a dark abyss. He let out a breath, "It really is like the movies...it's a shame I don't have Lockhart to test the waters for me. It shouldn't matter though."
Sol felt as though he was missing something. Lockhart? What's he got to do with this? What's he got to do with anything?
Sol then saw Colin shifting his weight between his two legs repeatedly as if he was getting ready to jump. Colin shivered looking into the abyss-like hole. Even if you had knowledge, seeing the real thing was a kind of special experience.
Slap!
Colin slapped himself on the cheeks, "I know what's down there. It's do or die! YOLO, BITCHES!!" With that, he jumped inside. Outside, Sol made his way into the bathroom, completely stupefied.
What did he say? Euolow? Sol shook his head and got rid of the useless thoughts.
Casting WIngardium Leviosa on himself, he jumped down as well. As he slowly descended through the hole, he saw that it had a lot of twists and turns like one of those water parks he saw on TV. Although it was a bit dark, Sol made his way down without making a sound. As he came out of the slide, he saw bones cluttering the floor. He looked around and saw Colin lying on the bones, groaning. "Ow...bones do not make for a soft landing."
Sol looked around to see himself inside a structure of sorts. There were more holes in the walls. The walls were greenish-gray and looked covered with grime. He contemplated where he was. We went straight down from the bathroom through what looked like a tube. Sol's eyes lit up. We might be in the sewers. But what's with the bones? They look like they belong to humans.
As he was thinking, Colin got himself up and made his way out of the room they were in.
Clatter! Crack!
The bones shifted and snapped as he walked on them. Behind him, Sol silently followed. They entered a cave-like room. It had stalactites protruding from the ceiling, dripping water on the ground. The air was humid and the ground wet. On the ground was a massive protrusion, which looked like a snake. It looked rigid and brittle. Seeing that, Colin's eyes lit up. "So, this is the Basilisk skin."

Sol felt as though his ears were malfunctioning. Excuse me, what?
Colin walked past the shed skin and headed towards a door installed at the end of the cave. It was circular in shape and on the left there was a rectangular-shaped box out of which seven metal snakes came out. These snakes were of different lengths as each of them reached towards different sides of the door.
"Open!" Sol heard that unrefined language from Colin's mouth again[1]. The door shook and from the rectangular box out came a small metal snake. The snake slithered in a circular path on the outer edges of the door. And the seven metal snakes would shrink back their necks to let the small snake pass. After making a complete circle, the snake entered the box from the other end.
Click!
An unlocking sound was heard and the door swung open. As this was going on, Sol was looking at Colin with a strange gaze. Why does Parseltongue sound so bad? Is it exclusive to him or is it because I know Lamiaspeak? Also, how much of a fanatic do you have to be to learn a language from a piece of fiction?
As the door swung open, Colin stepped inside followed by Sol. Both of them walked through a short pipe before traversing down a short ladder. In front of them was a brick pathway that was gray in color. Each side of the pathway was flooded with water and snake-head sculptures were lined one after another. These grey snake-head sculptures had their jaws unhinged, their forked tongues out and their fangs bared. Colin looked at the entire chamber with awe on his face. At the end of a pathway, was the sculpture of a face etched into the wall. The face had long hair and beard made out of stone and had an imposing look on his face. There seemed to be a seam on its mouth.
"It really does look like the movies..." Colin murmured. Sol shot him a look. Can't you say anything else?
Colin walked to the end of the path followed by the invisible and silent Sol. Throughout this entire time, the mana around the diary became more and more erratic and restless as they went deeper inside the Chamber of Secrets. Sol noticed this long ago, however he didn't take action as he knew that the diary wasn't powerful enough to harm him. They came closer to the sculpture at the end of the path and looked at it. The entire chamber was damp with water flooding most of it except the pathway. There was a pool of water in front of the face sculpture as well.
"The statue of Salazar Slytherin looks the same as in the movies," Colin exclaimed. Sol rolled his eyes. Motherfucker, you think we're in a movie set?
All of a sudden, the black diary inside Sol's sweater flew out and landed on the wet floor with a plop! The diary opened and the yellow pages inside flipped rapidly. A flash of light was seen and from the diary, an image of a youth materialized. He had black hair, sharp features, eyebrows that looked like katana blades. He wore a black school robe with the crest of Slytherin sewed on. His black eyes looked at Colin and then back at Sol who was still invisible. Seeing the image in front of him, Colin's eyes bugged out.
In his shock, Colin struggled to get his words out, "Y-Y-You're Tom Riddle! N-No, Voldemort! How are you here? How is your diary here?"
In response, Tom Riddle looked at Colin and raised his brow, "Oh, you know me? I didn't think a young mudblood wizard such as yourself would know what I looked like. So, might I ask how you know me?" His pleasant voice accompanied by his British accent sounded like forks scratching plates to Colin.
"W-Who wouldn't know someone like you?" Colin struggled to get an excuse out all the while his brain was overloading trying to think. Why is Voldemort's diary here? It wasn't with Ginny and it certainly wouldn't have been with me. Wait...
Colin took a deep breath and then looked at Tom, "How are you here? And your diary wasn't with me so...?"
Hearing that, Tom smirked and looked in Sol's direction only to feel that Sol wasn't there. So, he then turned around to look at Colin. With a voice that seemed to contain a hint of anger, "Why don't you ask your senior?"
"Is it Sol Balor?" Colin asked raising his eyebrows.
"Oh, you knew?" Tom looked at him with an expression.
"I had a feeling. But now that you said it, I am certain." Colin had a pensive look on his face. So he really was a reincarnator like me...
Tom flicked his sleeves and turned to look at Salazar Slytherin's sculpture, "No matter. Regardless of what happens, you two will die here. I will then drain your powers and emerge as a complete being. I will then finally complete Salazar Slytherin's noble work."
"Oh?" Colin smirked at him, "And how are you going to do that? With the basilisk inside?"
"You-!" Tom looked shocked. He then composed himself and smiled slightly, "I see. So you have some tricks up your sleeve. Small matter." He then looked at the sculpture. "Come out!" Tom spoke in Parseltongue. The chamber shook and the seam at the mouth opened. The entire mouth of the sculpture was a huge door. The stone door went into the floor and both Tom and Colin saw the abyss-like darkness inside. Colin immediately shut his eyes.
Ss~ Swish~
A hiss was heard from inside the sculpture's mouth and a 60-feet long snake-like creature emerged from inside. It was bluish-white from head to toe and yellow eyes with slit pupils. It was a basilisk! It made splashing sounds in the water as it slithered out. Colin started to reach into his robes when he heard the splashing. From within his robes, he pulled out a silver sword with rubies fitted on the hilt. It was 2 and a half feet tall and looked more like an ornamental sword. Tom looked at Colin with surprise riddling his face. "Oh, you have Godric Gryffindor's sword?" He then sneered, "What do you possibly hope to accomplish with that? Someone like you is going to kill a basilisk?"
"You don't need to worry about me. You got killed by a baby! You have no ground to stand on." Colin retorted.
Hearing Colin's mocking, Tom looked at the basilisk with an angry expression and then ordered in Parseltongue, "Kill the filthy mudblood!"
With a roar, the basilisk charged at Colin who brandished the sword towards it whilst retreating backward. Based on the sounds, Colin determined that the basilisk was about to lunge at him and got ready to dodge. The basilisk came close and was ready to lunge at Colin. But as it was about to lunge, a cold voice speaking some sort of Parseltongue ordered, "Kneel."
The basilisk immediately slammed its head on the ground and stayed close to it, shivering. It had his eyes focused down and didn't dare to look up. On the other hand, both Tom and Colin felt as though were pressed under a mountain and fell to their knees immediately. They looked up at the source of the voice, unable to raise their heads...
...only to see Sol looking at them with a murderous grin on his face.
