As I kept on with my classes and training, Christmas rolled around and Hogwarts gave us a vacation. Students could either leave for home during this time or remain at Hogwarts. Of course, I headed back home.
As the Hogwarts Express stopped on King's Cross Station, I quickly stepped out with my luggage and Elaine who had been quite helpful in sending my letters back home during my brief time in Hogwarts. I walk around and after a while see my parents, my father who hadn't changed much and my mother with a slight bulge on her belly. Both of them looked overjoyed.
Are they this happy for me or the baby?
I wave at them with a smile on my face and they wave back excitedly. I come up to them only to be pulled into an embrace.
"Welcome back, Sol", my mother says, squeezing me.
My father looks at me, seemingly saying the same with his eyes.
"I'm home.", I reply, feeling a warmth in my heart.
My eyes hover over to my mother's swollen stomach, "So you really got pregnant? I hope it's a girl."
"No, It's going to be a boy like you.", my mother childishly replies.
"Not everyone can be like me.", I say with a chuckle.
I look at my mother's stomach and whisper to my father before walking forward, " You sure work fast."
My father's eyes widen at that, with rosy cheeks he throws me a look seemingly scolding, "You brat!"
I chuckle seeing my father's face before saying, "Come on, let's go home."
My mother rushes next to me and asks, "What happened to your father? What did you say to him?"
"Oh, nothing, just a secret between men.", I replied cheekily.
I was also about to tell her to ask father if she really wanted to know but you know...
We get into the car and soon we enter Privet Drive.
Ahh~ home sweet home.
We get out of the car on the driveway while father parks the car in the garage.
There are ten days to Christmas and I plan to enjoy every day with my family, of course, Elaine too! I think I pamper Elaine too much. She still delivers letters whenever I tell her but I can't keep her in her cage too long or else she gets restless. When I let her out of her cage, she flies around a bit before perching herself on my shoulder. I guess my shoulder is her exclusive spot. Not that I mind. She gets headpats and snacks from me whenever she sits on my shoulder. She's too adorable so I'll keep pampering her.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's Christmas eve and all I've done these past few days is hang out with my family, drinking eggnog, and play my violin. Yeah, I've not trained one bit. What? I know I do train like a madman but a break once in a while is a good thing.
...
Fine, okay, I admit I don't practice here because I feel the room to be much better, with no interruptions and all the things that a man needs. I feel if I had a room like that, I wouldn't need a girlfriend.
No, Sol, stop! A room can't give you the things a girlfriend can give you. Like, uhh, love, I guess... yes, love, your one-sided love of a room can't be returned. Rooms can't love after all. Wait, that room is magical, does it have sentience? Can it love? NO! STOP!
I'm currently in my room thinking of this when my father barges into my room and signals me to come out. I follow him and see my mom downstairs readied up with make-up and all. My mom sees me and says, "Sol, wear your clothes, we're going to a party."

"Huh? Whose?"
"It's our neighbors.", replies my mother briefly.
"The name?", I ask again.
"The Dursleys."
Oh. It's the Dursleys. Wow, I've only seen the family from afar and never met them. But it consists of Vernon Dursley, the head of the family, her wife Petunia, and their son Dudley. Both Vernon and Dudley use the word 'fat' to its fullest. Seriously, Dudley just looks like a pig. Hell, I even wanted to give him a pig nose but my mom stopped me, even after I gave my argument of revealing his true species. And as I was thinking about it, as if she knew what was going on inside my head, she warned me, "No trying to turn Dudley into a pig."
"Aww~", I groan then head back to my room to change my clothes.
Haah~ damn, this is going to be boring.
Soon I put on my clothes and am currently walking with my family over to their house. No, we don't need the car. They're in the same fucking neighborhood as us, walking is fine. And yes, I did suggest the car. Why? My mother's fucking pregnant. You thought I'd let a pregnant woman walk of my own volition. If it wasn't my mother who insisted she'd walk childishly saying not to pamper her then I'd have thrown her in the car myself.
Now, we were walking on the sidewalk, with me asking my mother if she's alright every ten or so minutes.
"Hmm~ you seem to be a bit more worried about the baby than me?", asked my mother.
"You think?! I don't know if you know but I've never had a baby myself.", I retort.
"And don't you dare get one before you get married. Be like us.", my mother warned half-jokingly.
"I'd have to get a girlfriend first and then the rest, no?"
"True, though I doubt if girls would like a guy who does nothing but studies."
"Hey, come on. Don't say that. You were a Ravenclaw and you got married to father.", I point out.
"That's because I could balance my studies and free-time. I made sure to give him plenty of attention.", my mom explains.
"Wait, 'gave him plenty of attention'? Why are you speaking as if father was a pet?", I look at father only to see him wearing somewhat of a jokey expression.
My mother pats his head, "The I've married is no pet."
"I give up, you've convinced me. But I have friends who are of the opposite gender too.", I point out.
"Hah! That sounds like something without a girlfriend would say.", my mom mocks me.
I go silent.
Haah~ I can never win with her.
Soon we arrive in front of the Dursleys' house, we knock on the door and after a while, a thin woman with short hair which ends in curls opens the door.
"Welcome, Selene and Tom!", said Petunia as she invited us inside. Then she looks at me, "You must be Sol, we also have a son your age. His name is Dudley. I hope you can be friends with him."
"Sure thing, Mrs. Vernon.", but I sigh inwardly as I had every intention not to.
We come inside. It looks like a normal muggle house. Though we did similarly furnish our house with my father's help to pose as a normal muggle family.
Hmm~ what's this? Magic?
I signal my mother and whisper in her ear, "Mom, are they a magic family?"
"No, they should only be muggles, why?", my mom asks.
"I sense magic in the house. It's faint but it's there."
"That's odd. There shouldn't be any magic here."
"I'll keep an eye out.", I say as I separate from her and use Mana Eyes.
Where is it? Huh? What's this white aura? It's coming from that little closet? Jesus Christ, have they trapped someone in there?
I think about the scenarios but my expression is as calm as ever. I don't think I can check it out with everyone here. I'll wait for now.
"Ahh, Dudley! This is the Balor's son, Sol. Get along with him and take him to your room."
Dudley comes forward and then, "You, Sol?"
"Uhh, yeah."
"Come with me."
I follow him and he takes me to his room as ordered by his room. We stay there until dinner and I find out something. I really can't hold a conversation with the lad. We belong to different worlds and just don't connect. Just as I wished someone would off me and save me from this awkward situation, a yell came from downwards, "Boys! Dinner is ready."
Dudley's eyes suddenly light up and with a speed that would put most brooms to shame, he ran downstairs with a, "Coming!"
As I was left behind in his room, I kept thinking:
Where the fuck did basic etiquette go?
I come down to the dining room and see everyone sitting at the table with a variety of foods, though it wasn't as good as Hogwarts.
When I just started to eat, I look around to see and realize:
Isn't this the perfect time?
The adults look like they'll talk at the table and with the amount of food, Dudley has on his plate, it'll take a long time to finish. I eat quicker than anyone else and excuse myself to the bathroom. But as I was outside their line of sight, I quickly go to the closet under the stairs and knock on the door but not before casting the smallest Regnum Ignotum I could.
"Is anyone in there?", I say in a quiet voice.
"...", no response.
"There seems to be a problem with your body.", I say just to get him out.
After a while, I hear the sound of the door unlocking. A figure comes out. It looks to be a boy. He's too thin, with broken glasses on his little face and old, oversized clothes on his body.
"What's wrong with my body?", the boy asks with a worried expression.
"You don't know?", I ask a bit surprised.
"Don't know what?"
"Haven't your parents told you anything?"
"Oh, they're not my parents. They're my uncle and aunt."
"Huh? They're not your parents? What's your name?", I ask as I keep getting shocked again and again.
"My name's Harry. Harry Potter."
My eyes widen in shock.
