Wang Tu

*Snap*

Wu Guang crushed a bead from a beaded collar, one of the trash items he had in his Storage Ring.

"Gale of Swords"

*Snap*

"Gale of Swords"

*Snap*

And repeated the spell and his action twice in quick succession, this time targetting the Sage realm cultivator.

His actions may appear strange to an outsider, but Wu Guang had a clear objective in mind. By using the same spell and a visible resource, he intended to mislead the Eagles into thinking he was using a treasure.

A close scan would discover his ruse, but no one should have the time during a fight. While until it was discovered, he had a chance that the Sage realm cultivator would not suspect that Wu Guang was using his mind-power. Thus treating him as a, slightly stronger than normally Soul realm cultivator.

Wang Tu indeed had fallen for the ruse. Albeit it could not be held against him, as someone beneath the Sage realm should simply have no way to use mind-power. And so, while defending against the two tornados of wind that were quickly moving towards him, counted the number of beads in his opponent hand.

"Nine more!"

Wu Guang saw that his ruse was at least partially successful, and so sent three more spells towards the Sage realm cultivator, who was at that moment using his brute strength to stop the previous ones. He did not expect for it to wound or even stop the opponent for a long time, but... He needed to win some time.

His main objective had not changed, he intended to deal with the 6th level Soul realm cultivator first. Not only it was more realistic to finish him off quickly, but it would also free Wu Guang to fight without the need to watch his back. After all, his body could easily resist any attack below his cultivation, and so the weakest member of the trio was of no threat anyway.

Speaking of 'First Condor', the latter was badly pressed by the single "Gale of Swords" that was sent at him initially. Spells depended on the mind-power infused into them, and Wu Guang had made sure to infuse that one with power enough to contend against a weak Sage realm cultivator.

And so albeit Condor's aura managed to stop the spell and save him from being torn apart by the blades hidden in the wildly circulating wind, he was still being forced to take one step after another under the pressure.

Stepping back right unto the spot that Wu Guang wanted him to...

Wang Tu was partially busy with the spells that targetted him, but they did not prevent him from keeping an eye on the suddenly fighting back target.

He could not understand why the youngster had lured them here, and neither why he suddenly revealed such a treasure. Still, he did not worry much, as only six beads were remaining and the spells were not so hard to defend against. But the latter part only was true towards himself, and Wang Tu was not alone.

He quickly glanced at his companions and found that only Condor was targetted. Right now, he was constantly retreating from a single spell but had not suffered any injury. Considering that spells could not run indefinitely, there should be no problems.

"Hmm..." Wang Tu inwardly muttered. He could not point what, but something felt off. Their opponent had not made any movements except using the spells, and no way he believed they would be enough to deal with them. In that case, why he was so calm?

Why he had not used the opportunity to escape or at least try and land a lucky hit?

Wnag Tu could not know, but his experience was telling him that their opponent was expecting...

"Condor, Don't Move!" His feeling was right, but the warning came just a moment late.

*BOOM* *ZZZZZZZZZ*

Even though the Sage realm managed to notice that something was wrong, his warning was indeed a bit late, and so, Wu Guang's plan worked out.

During his last movements, he had dropped to the ground a small pendant filled with Lighting Attraction Seals. Covering it with the best stealth spell he could create without it being sensed by the pursuing Sage realm cultivator.

The pendant was like the statuettes he had made in Coastal Hill City, albeit he had improved it a bit, managing to cram over fifteen trap spells into it by grinding several dozens of qi shards and using the dust as a channel. Initially, he intended to give it to Li Xia, so she did not need to carry the more-or-less bulky statuette he had given her. But as he did not meet with her, why not use it now?

*BOOM* *ZZZZZZZZZ*

An area of over thirty feet was instantly covered by a dome of lighting, lighting that could easily destroy any cultivator below the Sage realm.

A few seconds passed in silence, with only the crackling sounds from the lighting to be heard. And when the dome dispersed...

There was nothing but bare, black rock in sight. Not even ashes from what was before a cultivator remained.

"DAMN YOU!" The sage realm cultivator roared and released his full aura, crashing and crushing the remaining "Gale of Swords" spells. When one reached the Sage realm, one's aura would become a natural part of the cultivator, not only maintaining all the uses from before but also being subjected to the cultivator mindstate. And so, when a cultivator was furious, the normally mild qi inside the aura's zone would become agitated as well. This did not give any inherent advantage, but it was visually stunning.

In Wu Guang's opponent's case, the anger made the nearby qi become visible to the naked eye and converged it around his body. Giving him the look of an enraged war god covered in radiant, multi-colored armor.

"I wonder why everyone thinks they can try to kill me and assume that I will not do so in turn" Wu Guang shrugged calmly.

He did feel some pressure as his current maximum was only equivalent to a peak Soul realm while his normal aura was hardly above the 6th level. But except for the slight pressure, he was otherwise not affected. This was because his, now completely fused and under control, soul and mind were far more powerful. Granted, he could not use all of it, but simply resisting an inferior power? That did not require anything except the fact of having both.

"You should have been an obedient little cultivator and left right away, but you did not... Who are you?"

"As I said before, guests should introduce themselves first. But if you insist - Wu Guang, 'Three Hills Sect'. Assigned here to receive the Eagle Kingdom guests" Wu Guang's words could be taken as provocative, if not for the fact he spoke with an even voice devoid of any emotion.

"The Sect? But isn't it holed behind its walls? Not that it will help them for much. Anyway, you wanted to know who I am? I normally prefer to kill without giving my name, but I will make an exception" Wang Tu used the chance to slightly calm himself. The cultivator in front was far weaker than him, that was a fact. Still, he had been using treasures one after another, and already killed a 6th Soul realm cultivator while being far weaker! And so, after using the pause to calm himself and deciding on a plan of action, he said

"Wang Tu, Eagle Kindom, Black Eagles" And lunged forwards while taking out a pair of short daggers from his Storage ring.

As he practically flew towards his target, Wang Tu sent a quick qi transmission to his remaining companion

"You are not a match for him and I can not protect you. Go back on our steps and wait for me"

Wu Guang knew that he would be at disadvantage during a physical match, but he had no other option but to meet Wang Tu head-on. The latter had already locked him into his aura, and however at ease Wu Guang could feel under the pressure, he still would have a very difficult time escaping. Not that he could do it either, as even if he escaped this black eagle was an expert assassin, and the damage he could inflict if left to his devices was simply terrible.

There was another reason... Wu Guang could not allow anyone who saw his trump cards to survive, and that included the now escaping 'Subtle Falcon'.

"Sunrise! Sunset! Crossing the Sky!" Taking out his 'Sun Disks', Wu Guang activated the unique technique that went along them. It was a simple tracking one, which would allow throwing both chakrams so they converge on a determined point, namely the 'Midday', in this case, the target.

Albeit slowed slightly by the interference of Wang Tu's aura, the chakrams flew towards 'Subtle Falcon', controlled by a sliver of Wu Guang's consciousness. Ideally, the attack would kill him, but... Right now, he had to concentrate on the enemy in front.

He did not even spare a glance at the disks that flew away, taking out his 'Gravity Slasher' and attacking Wang Tu, who had just entered the range.

*CLASH*

A dual-wielding opponent, especially one with quicker weapons and stronger physically was one of the worst possible opponents a cultivator could meet. It was the same for Wu Guang, albeit his longer range and the fact that his reaction speed was even more quick than the Sage realm opponent ones somewhat outset the difference, but...

*Rip*

Wu Guang was dressed in common grey robes, already damaged from the previous chase. And now, a rip that immediately began to tinge in red adorned his torso. He had exchanged a few blows with Wang Tu and could be said to be almost equal to him, but It was not enough as the opponent's knife managed to flow over Wu Guang's saber and land a hit.

Wu Guang immediately jumped back and using the advantage in range released a quick series of slashes.

Wang Tu dodged most of them, relying on his advantage in strength to deflect the rest.

And as soon as there was a small break in between the attack, his left hand made a quick downward motion

*Swoosh*

Wu Guang only managed to slightly turn to get his vitals out of the path of the dagger, but he could not fully avoid the thrown weapon...

*Splat*

Allowing the knife to hit him and lodging itself deeply into his thigh.

At this moment, a shout full of pain was heard, slightly distracting Wang Tu.

Wu Guang knew the origin of this shout. His chakrams had served him well again, and now he was left only with a single opponent.

"Not that it helps me much right now" He thought while going over the result of the clash. Although some time to plan or at least get some kind of strategy in motion would be ideal, Wang Tu did not mean to give it to him.

The Black Eagle quickly opened the range, and then his hands began flashing in quick succession, each movement accompanied by the throw of a similar knife like the one that had just wounded Wu Guang

"Rain of Claws!"
