Lu Shuren was an imposing 50 or so years old man known for two things... One was that he always remained calm, and the second one was that he always had a very overbearing, even dismissive, attitude.

Still, during Wu Guang's act, Lu Shuren's reactions and manner were strange. After all, with his status, he would simply have acknowledged Wu Guang's presence and dismissed him right away. Nobody could expect him to refer to himself as an old man and be so cordial.

Chun Zemin had remained silent all the time and did not even acknowledge Wu Guang. Still, his calmness and unawareness were too obvious, likely he had been prepared for something like this. Most probably, even the fact that they all met up tonight was not a coincidence.

As for the one suspected as an assassin, he had a slight reaction. It was one of a surprise after seeing Lan Yanzhi. Although he did hide it right away, it was enough to confirm his identity.

Between this and the fact that Lu Shuren acknowledged his involvement in the inheritance matter, the plan was met with success.

As Wu Guang excused himself and started walking towards the staircase, he made sure to intercept any qi transmissions between his now confirmed enemies.

Regretfully, only at the edge of Wu Guang's mind power zone, he managed to intercept one from Lu Shuren

"Chun Zemin, I know you deliberately made the boy see me. I hope that you understand that if something goes wrong with your plan, you will wish to be dead" Qi transmissions usually were disengaged and emotions were not transmitted, but even so, the coldness in Lu Shuren's message indicated that he meant what he said.

Wu Guang would love to stay and hear more, but that would be too suspicious and so, accompanied by Elder Di and Lan Yanzhen, he began walking back to the Sect's mansion.

As they walked, the three were conversing via qi transmission. Elder Di who had been observing everyone's reactions from the rear had reached the same conclusions as Wu Guang. As for Lan Yanzhen, she was still affected after seeing her vengeance target so close.

Wu Guang had made clear his intention of going to the Wu family manor and taking possession of it on the next day, and so, if his enemies had a plan in mind, they would need to hasten it.

Plus, if Yuan Taotu and the rest succeeded in Elder Di's task, it would serve as a warning for Chun Zemin. And even if he discarded his grandson's future safety, he would get either angry or distracted by the situation. And any of these two emotions would not be beneficial tomorrow.

As the three of them approached the mansion, they heard loud voices. And what's important, these voices were not from the Sect's people.

"Young friend Wu Guang seems to have guessed right. It seems that someone also decided to target us"

"It may be so. Elder Di, it would be better for you to approach stealthily"

"That sounds sensible. I will do so, as for you... do whatever you need to do"

"Understood. Lan Yanzhi, follow after me. If we are attacked, you are permitted to fight and even kill if the situation calls for it"

"Got it" Hearing such words, Lan Yanzhi snapped out of the thoughts that had been occupying her mind after seeing her family killer. Her mood was not very good right now, and so like most of the rogue cultivators, she was very attracted to the idea of venting out.

While they were walking towards the mansion and discussing the matter, Wu Guang had indeed hinted that there may be an incident tonight. After all, none of the people involved was an idiot, so they may have thought of the same as Elder Di. Provoke some kind of incident to distract, separate, or even incapacitate a few of Wu Guang's helpers. And now, this guess was confirmed.

Wu Guang and Lan Yanzhi rushed into the garden before the mansion with full speed. Inside, they saw that five green-clothed youngsters were beating up a pair of outer circle disciples from their sect. Seeing this, Wu Guang almost laughed. After all, the attackers were inner circle disciples from the 'Leaf Shadows Sect', and so had cultivations between the beginner and intermediate Spirit realm.

As for the two outer circle disciples, they were none other than the strongest disguised elites from the Discipline Palace. They could not reveal their identity without permission and so they were using all possible effort to fake their beating. After all, the Soul realm brought a lot of changes to a cultivator, one of which was that even when concealing one's aura, it would still defend them against any attack until it was destroyed. Still, Wu Guang knew that he needed to act quickly as he saw that the elites were fairly pissed off already. They were restraining themselves only because their orders came from Palace Master Sikou himself. In other words, if not for the orders, they would have already killed these bastards.

"Stop right now! Whoever does not, I will kill him right here" Wu Guang's words were not very loud, but the disciples from the Leaf Shadows heard them very well.

Although they saw and did hear him, the five of them ignored Wu Guang's words and did not stop. They even started insulting Wu Guang.

"Look at the guy that just arrived. Does he think of himself as their savior? Hahaha"

"Just patiently wait for beating. When we daddies finish up with this two trash, you will be next"

"Or you can kowtow until we are satisfied. Then we may not beat you"

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"Hahaha, yeah, kowtow, kowtow!"

"And that girl behind you... Is she your offering to your grandaddy, me?"

Normally nobody would expect such behavior from some common inner disciples. After all, they were currently on the mansion grounds. And the mansion was something owned by the Three Hills Sect. But they still acted like this. So Wu Guang concluded that they were ordered to do this. Still, with how they were acting, where the fuck was the inner elder in charge of the mansion?

In any case, Wu Guang had neither the time nor the mood to think about the elder. Plus, Elder Di allowed him to act however he wanted to. And so, he would do so.

Seeing that Wu Guang did not answer, the Leaf Shadows disciples continued to laugh and insult him.

But a moment later, they suddenly stopped.

No, they simply froze up from what happened. The current Wu Guang was by far not a saint, and actually, his temper was very short. In his past life as Bai Qi, this was so as well. So no wonder that after being refused face, he simply did not bother to continue talking.

After preparing, he used 'Counting steps towards Hell and Heaven' to disappear from the spot and move in front of the youngster that was cursing the loudest. The latter cultivation was at the 3rd level of the Spirit realm and so he would not be an opponent for Wu Guang even in open combat, what to say in such a situation. By utilizing his consciousness to concentrate the maximum amount of power he could in his arms, Wu Guang attacked right away.

But this attack was not intended to scare the opponent, it was meant to directly cripple him. And so when Wu Guang's two punches landed on the guy's left arm, a cracking sound was heard. Wu Guang's punches had directly broken the Leaf Shadow's disciple arm in several places!

And so, the remaining four indeed freeze up in shock, but it was not because of Wu Guang's sudden movement, or even that his cultivation was higher than most of them. No, the shock came from the cruelty of Wu Guang's attack.

"Ahhhhhh!!! My arm!!!" The disciple that had his arm broken screamed kneeling on the ground.

"What are you doing! How you dare to wound a disciple from the Leaf Shadows Sect!" Seemingly lacking the understanding of their situation, one of the remaining four started shouting

"Our sect will not let you go away!" Another one added

"Hahaha... Are you all idiots? You have attacked people from the 'Three Hills Sect' on the Sect's property. Even if your sect acts, they will most probably bring your heads on a platter" Wu Guang laughed at their threats before suddenly turning serious and continuing

"I told you before that if you don't stop, I will kill you. So crippling or beating you is simply me not wanting to shed too much blood in this garden"

"You!!" The strongest of the four was a 6th level of the Spirit realm as Wu Guang, and so seeing that the latter had no intention to let them off, decided to attack first.

He even went so far as to take out a short sword from his holding pouch. Wu Guang was currently unarmed as he had left his saber in the manor, while the blade bow would require a few moments to be prepared for battle. Still, even if he had a weapon at hand, he wasn't dumb like this guy as to break one of the heavily punishable laws in the city... Which was to use techniques or weapons. As for his movement technique, it was not meant to injure, and so he would be at max verbally warned.

Plus, Wu Guang did not need to use a weapon to defend himself from a lousy middle-quality common sword. And so when the Leaf Shadows disciple slashed at him, Wu Guang responded with a full-strength right fist.

*Crack* *Clank*

Wu Guang had met the sword with his bare fist, and the result was something that no one except him expected. After all, who would expect that a weapon would be broken in two while the fist was unharmed?

The attacker seemingly wanted to say something, but Wu Guang's counterattack was already on. This time Wu Guang was even more vicious than before, he had grabbed the disciple's right ear and directly tore it off!

And so in place of whatever he wanted to say, only a scream was heard.

"Ahhhh!!!"

*Clank* *Putt*

Letting go of the broken sword, the disciple fell on his knees while trying to stop the blood.

The remaining three Leaf Shadows disciples had remained frozen until now. But with the scene before their eyes, and knowing that they were far weaker, they quickly fell on their knees and started pleading for mercy.

"Please spare us!

"We are sorry, we did not want to provoke young lord"

"Please let us go"

Wu Guang did not show any emotion while crippling his opponents or after hearing the three beg. He fully ignored them and calmly spoke to Lan Yanzhi

"Throw this trash out"

"Understood" As Lan Yanzhi had not taken any action until now, she was very earnest to act now. As for Wu Guang, he had already asked the disguised elite's of their state via qi transmission, and after confirming that they were totally fine, decided to end this manner like this.

But when Lan Yanzhi approached the nearest Leaf Shadow, she suddenly froze.

After a moment, Wu Guang was also enveloped by the pressure from a Soul realm aura.

Strangely the aura did not target anyone from the Leaf Shadows sect. In fact, this aura was directed solely at Lan Yanzhi and Wu Guang!
