The fact that all of Wu Guang's previous cutting remarks were met with hostility but still were quickly forgotten was by far not because the people around were kind. It was simply because of the rune door and bloodline key. After all, if the user of the bloodline key did not use it willingly, the door would not open at all.
And considering that only an Earth realm expert could break through by force, no wonder that everyone did not kill or at least injure Wu Guang right away.
Still, the maximum amount of time he could gain was already gained, and albeit Wu Guang still did not sense Elder Di or anyone else approaching he would have to proceed to open it, even if he did not want to. But it would be a lie to say that he did not want to, after all, he was very interested in what lay behind the door. Leaving aside the fact that he could not even fathom why such a door was constructed in this place and how his father could be connected to it, such a door meant to protect very important treasures. Even if it was not a qi crystal shard mine or deposit, the items or things inside would still be extremely valuable. And if not, who would spend such an amount of effort to protect them?
Thinking of vexing things, Wu Guang had another one in mind. Although it was also related to the situation, it was something he could not get at all. The identity of Shen Yimu. Not only the latter has been treating him very well, but his strength was also concealed very deeply. In fact, at first glance, even Wu Guang only could sense him as a 2nd level Soul realm cultivator. But while he was disguising his senses, he obviously found out the truth.
Shen Yimu was by far not a 2nd level Soul realm cultivator, he was a peak Soul realm one! Such cultivation was equal to the strongest experts of the 'Three Hills Sect' and by far surpassed the people present, and so, why would Shen Yimu appear like their servant? And why would he keep concealing his cultivation? As Wu Guang saw it from how Chun Zemin had asked, neither he nor the others really knew of the matter and simply treated him as a subordinate.
Wu Guang would be interested in such a thing even in a normal situation and knowing that this was related to his life, he would obviously be even more so. He did not really worry as in case of a total emergency he had already prepared a trump card, something that would help him survive even a few low-level Sage realm experts. In fact, this was the real preparation he has been doing during all the hours he was closed in his room. The trump card was practically equal to the throwing daggers he had infused with the lighting seals before. The daggers indeed served him perfectly during the incident in the escapee cave, but they were destroyed by the lighting.
And how could they not be? Even if the material was better than ordinary, they were simple weapons and could not withstand even a Soul realm full force. What to say about the peak Sage realm that the combination of the seal and Wu Guang's mind power called upon?
This time he had used other items, but the idea was the same. He had spent most of his mind power to infuse and conceal several different trap spells in three items. These items were none other than the souvenir figurines he had bought at the port before.
In case of real danger, he would simply need to take any of them out and activate them to cover a several dozens of feet area in deadly power. He also made sure to caliber each of the traps to be attuned to his presence and so he would not be wounded even when using them in his own hands. Granted, such change meant that the destruction could be traced to him, but this was also a reason why he had chosen such items. If he was forced to use them and was later questioned, he could lie that they were treasures. As for where they did come...
Obviously from behind the door. After all, if he was forced to use them, it meant that no one of his protection arrived in time.
"Open the door now!" Lu Shuren was the most impatient one and so noticing that Wu Guang had not made any movement for a couple of minutes, shouted at him to urge him on.
"Yes, yes" Wu Guang responded half-heartedly, but still took out the case from his holding pouch, where he had stored it after confirming with Shen Yimu. After opening the case, the key was revealed. And indeed, as before the runes started glowing slightly after sensing Wu Guang.
This glow grew brighter as he held the key in his hand, but still, this was not enough to consider the key ready. Bloodline restricted keys did indeed show a sign when a person capable of using it was near or touched it, but to really function they required one's blood. Wu Guang knew it by himself, but even so, Shen Yimu had been instructing him on how to operate it via qi transmission during the last minute or so.
Wu Guang was unarmed, but opening a small wound on his finger was a simple matter and so after biting at his left-hand index he started smearing the key with the coming out blood. After the key had been covered with enough blood, which turned out to be only the equivalent of a few drops the glow changed. If before it was the usual light blue glow that all active runes had, now it was a golden glow that showed that the key was active.

With the new activated key, Wu Guang started walking towards the door. The rune door was simple in appearance, in fact, only the keyhole and a few barely visible runes around it revealed that it was truly a door. But actually, one should call it a piece of rock that served as a door as it was just a part of the boulder that had been separated and then put on back. It wasn't big, being only seven feet tall and about the same in width. But still gave a feeling of indestructibility.
The keyhole itself resembled a simple hole in the rock and if not for the visible efforts that someone had made to open it without a key which made the runes appear, even Wu Guang senses would have failed to find it out.
Without any sound, the key was inserted into the keyhole and Wu Guang turned it.
*Sssssssssss*
With a hissing sound, the rock door started slowly opening. How it opened was also a bit surprising, as it did not slide to the side or swing inwards, but actually by slowly receding into the ground.
*Whoosh*
At this moment Wu Guang was again enveloped by Shen Yimu's aura.
"Give him a luminous stone and make him walk in front. Make sure that he is fully restricted and can not touch anything. We don't know if there are protection mechanisms inside" At this moment Lord Liao commanded and sure enough, after a few breaths Wu Guang was forced to walk into the dark maw while holding a luminous stone that only illuminated a few feet before him.
Following him was Shen Yimu, who was suppressing him with his aura, and behind him, the other three men walked. Wu Guang could actually escape now if he wanted, as he had no trouble coping with the pressure of a 2nd level Soul realm aura, but he did not do so. As for why? He really wanted to find out what was inside. Only then he could start to act if his backing did indeed not arrive.
Behind the door what was at first a very dark cave that looked like a beast maw but as Wu Guang stepped inside and the luminous stone started illuminating more and more after being infused with his qi, he found out that it was actually a very small cave with absolutely no danger. It also was practically empty, if not for the stairs that led downwards.
"Chun Zemin, stay here and make sure that no one enters"
"Understood"
"Go" Lord Liao commanded again and Wu Guang started descending the stairs.
What first appeared to be a pair of flights turned out to be at least fifty. And it took them a full hour to reach their end. Wu Guang could not be sure without expanding his consciousness and senses, but from his natural sensations, they had not only descended to ground level from the two hundred feet hilltop but also made an equal or so journey underground!
At the bottom of the stairs, there was an equally small cave, and as in the upper one, there was a door. This time the door was a simple one, and so Shen Yimu was the one to open it after Lord Liao instructed him to do so.

Unbeknownst to anyone in the lower cave, the upper cave situation had changed. Chun Zemin who was meant to guard it was subjugated and bound by three people. From this three, one remained to guard the captive and the entrance, while the other two started descending the stairs as well.

After Wu Guang and his captors crossed through this simple door, they found themselves in an enormous hall. As for how enormous, even Wu Guang could not tell immediately as it was shrouded in darkness. Even so, he could not sense any of the walls except the one behind him, and the ceiling was so high up that most probably it was somewhere along with the ground level.
"I will be activating a sunstone, get ready!" Shen Yimu exclaimed before doing as he said. Sunstones were a special type of treasure unique to the 'Blazing Sun Sect', and from what Wu Guang knew, it was an enormous luminous stone. Not only that, depending on the qi infused into it, this stone could float up to a hundred feet and illuminate the surroundings up to a full mile.
And the description Wu Guang read did not lie, as after a few breaths bright light indeed illuminated all around him. His senses were fairly over the other people present, and so he wasn't affected by the sudden burst of light at all. And so, he was the first one to see this cave or hall.
As expected from his feelings, it was indeed enormous. Albeit it looked like a natural cave, the things that were filling it up were mostly not so natural. There were stacks and stacks of different minerals, ores, ingots, and a few chests. And most importantly, some huge rocks with qi crystals embedded in them stood as pillars between the brought-in items.
The full cave was like a treasury that contained every precious thing that earth could give birth to!
