In the middle of the day the sky darkened and rain started to fall. They have found a small cave in the side of a hill so they stayed there to wait until the rain stopped. They looked at the map and the places where they can find other peoples from the mansion. Joseph was sure something wasn't right.
"The on in this city did not move for the last week. It's still in the same house."
"Maybe the person who had it put it down."
"You must be right. What else could've happened?"
"I have a few other ideas, but this one is the most realistic."
"Okay."
A cart stopped next to the hill they stopped at. A men a woman and a little girl was sitting on it. The men got off and walked to them.
"Good day to you! Do you mind if we stay here with you while the rain goes on?"
Catherine looked at him smiling.
"You won't bother us. Please join!"
When the men saw her appearance he looked worried, but went back to the cart and got everyone under roof. The girl was shaking, she was soaked in water. Catherine took out some wood, made a campfire and waved at her.

"Come here. If you stay wet, you'll be sick!"
Everyone went closer to the fire to get warm. The woman started to brush the girl's hair. The man walked to Joseph and reached out for his hand. He shook it.
"My name is Matthew and this is my family. My wife Pamela and my daughter Krista."
"Nice to meet you! My name is Joseph and she is Catherine."
"Are you travelling mages?"
"Yes. We are on the way to Krishmar. What about you?"
"We are running away."
They sit down next to the campfire and he continued.
"There is a horde of monsters attacking fort Denheim. We were going there when we met some other people running away from there. They went in other directions, but we decided to come to Krishmar. So here we are."
"I see. It is good then we did not go that way."
"Yes."
They were talking until night. The rain still did not stop so they stayed there until the morning. They set up a small camp where they could sleep well enough.
In the morning the rain stopped already so they continued on their way. Matthew invited them on the cart so they moved faster then before. Catherine was in the back with Pamela and Krista. They were playing something, while Joseph and Matthew was on the front speaking with eachother.
"These roads are usually safe, because soldiers patrolling on it, but now that there are monsters attacking the fort there are no soldiers left to patrol. There might be problems around here."
"What kind of problems are you talking about?"
"Smaller monsters mostly. Like giant spiders, rats and other kind of things. They are usually not dangerous, until there is a lot of them."
"Those monsters are not a big problem. Even if there are a lot of them we'll take care of it."
"I'll take your word for it!"
