After work he changed clothes and looked into the chest he had in the room. It actually contained his armor and sword.
'I should've thought...'
He equipped the armor, but left the sword, because he remembered that it is illegal to use actuall weapons. Then he went to the training hall to try out casting magic. The place was a big open room. It had several rings for fighting, target dummies and a door leading outside for archery and magic training. There were young elfs, demons and all kind of races practicing and fighting eachother.
'So these are the trainees of the ancients.'
As he walked towards the door leading outside, he felt that someone was watching him. He looked around and saw all the people in the room watching him. Nervously he left the room outside, where the ones practicing didn't notice him.
'It seems like these guys are concentrating more on the training than the ones inside.'
Other than the training dummies there were bows, wands, staffs and some swords for practicing. The ones casting magic were doing different things. Some of them were meditating, some of them were chanting magic while casting them, some where just concentrating and then casting them, without a word.
'Seems like there are different levels of casting practices they are doing.'
He looked around, if he could find someone who could give him some tipps, but it seemed there aren't any teachers around.
'It seems I have to use the knowledge I aquired from the book. If it doesn't work I might just ask Master Flinn to teach me. Though I don't think he will help someone like me.'
Some people from inside came to the door still looking at him.
"Hooo... Seems like the pet of Master Flinn will do magic! Guys look!"
He was even more nervous about it.
'Why do they even have to look at me doing this?'
He sit down to meditate. Now he knew what was the problem. The "core" he has inside of his body has to open up. He concentrated on his hearth to make his blood infused with manna, so that he can cast magic. But the second he did, he felt ominous pain terrible pain in his chest. He felt to the ground and started to cough.
"Hahaha! He can't even controll his manna! What a joke!"
Even after taking a few minutes of break they were still loking at him, joking around how bad he was.
'It seems like if I use to much of it... I'll die. I thought it is easier than this. There was nothing like this in the book.'
After trying it a few more times, he got a hang of it. But just as he pulled it through he got happy and lost concentration. As a result the infusion stopped and he had to start over.
'I have to concentrate on it without stop? So that's why it takes to learn advanced magics so long time.'
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Little did he know, that everyone was born with their innate ability to infuse their manna without a problem. But because he didn't born with it, it took him a lot more to learn it.
'Guess I'll have to try again.'
After trying for a while he actually stood up while doing the fusion. But as he wanted to take a step he almost fell to the ground.
'What happened? Stats?'

'So my manna is low... I really need something that shows it to me. also it seems like the corrution goes down slower than in the forest. It is good I took the last two cores yesterday night. Let's see Magic infusion F and Meditation F.'
Magic infusion F
As you learned you need to infuse your blood with manna to cast magic. Because it's low levelled you can't use it without problems. It uses manna at this stage because you can't absorb it back after it goes through your body.
Meditation F
Helps you controll your manna and keep your head stay calm. Increases manna and health regeneration.
'These seem like decent. I'll go back to meditate for now.'
The others left the training hall meanwhile.
"Crap! What time is it?!"
He hurridly left the place and changed clothes. On his way he asked one of the maid he saw about the time.
"It is almost dinner time. You should hurry, or you will be late."
After having dinner he went to the library. The kid wasn't there, actually noone was there.
"Uhh... How can I take a book out of the shelves without help? Stats."

Manna: 180/180

"Ok-key. Let's try it! I only got one shot!"
He searched for a book. It was the part two of the previous one he read. He started to meditate and as he succeded in infusing his manna he held out his hand and imagined the book flying in his hand, like the kid did. The book flew his way, but it missed his hand and hit his head, from the hit he fell to the ground and the book landed on his head.
"Ouch!"
He stood up rubbing his head.
'At least it worked...'
He sit down to read. After finishing the book he asked the time from a fairy outside and took a bath. He finished the day and went to sleep.
The days went by as he repeated the same things. Work, eat, train, read and sleep. After a week of training he could actually stand up and walk while using infusion. This time around noone watched him anymore, they thought he is a weakling, so they left him alone.
'And they were actually right. I have to train more. Let's see stats.'

'Nice. So that's why it's a lot easier. But I only got one shot. Let's try the fire bolt while I still have manna.'
xx
Manna: 99/180

He walked to one of the dummies that was stood up for ranged training. He held out his hand and imagined a fire ball at the size of a baseball ball flaming.
Attention!
Manna is not sufficient! If you try to cast this spell you will use up all your manna and lose consciousness! Still proceed?
'No!'
He stopped the casting.
'I guess I'll have to try magical missile then?'
xx
Manna: 95/180
xx
'I just hope it's enough!'
Now he imagined a blue arrow made out of pure energy. He felt his manna leave his body and saw the blue energy concentrate before him and turn into a blue arrow.
'And now shoot!'
As he imagined it shoot forward with high speed he got an other window.
Attention!
Manna is not sufficient! If you try to cast this spell you will use up all your manna and lose consciousness! Still proceed?
'What? No! Maybe slower? How much is my manna anyway?'
xx
Manna: 10/180

'What? Then maybe slow movement?'
The arrow started to move forward painfully slow. He saw his manna go down from 10 one by one. Untill it reached 1. He stopped the magic and the infusion before he reached 0. The magic arrow still went forward with the same slow movement, untill it reached the dummy. Then it stopped like it hit a wall and dissapeared.
'Oh my god! If I can't shoot it fast enough it is useless!'
Everyone around him was laughing at him. So he went back to meditate.
