Joseph walked to one of the eggs. It was around 1 meter high and just as wide as him and had grey cover.
"How is it even possible?"
"I don't know. But we have to break all of them, or there will be a big problem."
"Right."
Joseph pulled out his sword and slashed the one he was standing in front. The sword bounced off and his hand got hurt from the impact.
"Chh... These are a lot harder then they look."
"I guess we need to use some magic."
Catherine used the same magic arrows that Joseph usually use and shot one at one of the eggs. It broke and some juice spilled out of it. A small worm was inside of the egg, but it was already dead from the impact.
"This should be enough."
"I still didn't recover much mana, so it will be a little bit problematic for me."
"Don't worry, just recover it. I'll dead with the eggs."
She started to destroy them, breaking one after an other watching out for any of them surviving. After half an hour she stopped at the last one of the eggs. The spell she used did nothing to it.
"Strange. Joseph come look at it!"
He walked there and saw an egg that was just as big as him.
"Woah! This one lookes even worse then the others."
"I know. I'll definetly destroy this one."
She held her hands together and it started to eminate blue light. Then she started to move her hands away from eachother. Lightning sparked from one hand to the other.
"Take this."
She put both of her hands on the egg. It lit up in a blue light and Joseph smelled burnt tissue. They heared shriek as the egg crackled.

"What the hell is this?"
She held her right hand on the ground as a circle appeared around the egg. Then an other one circle around the other one. Different symbols appeared between them.
"Joseph engrave this spell in your brain. This is one of the basic magic circles."
He was watching it from closely. After a few seconds even more symbols appeared.
"This is an advanced magic circle."
Then a third circle appeared in the middle and symbols in the middle of it.
"This is a complete circle. This is the final form of this magic. You'll learn this one from the beginning to the end."
A pillard of light appeared above the circle and it engulfed the egg fully. After a second the shell of the egg started to become transparent until it fully disappeared. A worm as big as her was flailing in the air. Catherine was sweating keeping the spell going.
"Just a little more. Joseph be ready. If it's not enough then you have to kill it!"
"Alright!"
He held his sword ready to strike and concentrated the mana he had into it. After a moment went by the worm started to get transparent, just as the egg. Joseph was still ready, but smiled meanwhile.
"Just a little bit. You can do it!"
Catherine was gritting her teeth as she was breathing heavily. A few more seconds later the magic circle stopped and the worm stopped moving. Joseph instantly stroke at it. It's transparent body got cut into two parts. He stroke again and again until it was in a lot of pieces. He sit down tired.
"This should be enough!"
Catherine was lying on the ground.
"Yes. I hope so!"
"You did great!"
She laughed.
"I'm still not at max. I need more time to recover. I couldn't even use this spell normally."
"What was this spell anyway?"
"It breakes down the thing inside into little pieces, until nothing is left. But this thing had magical power and resisted it."
Joseph was supprised.
"It's a disintegrating spell? That is great!"
"Yeah! But it requires mana. Like a lot!"
"I can see that."
They rested in the cave for a few hours and then walked back to one of the exits. They left the holes and went back to the village. Helen was waiting for them in the inn. They greated eachother and both of them sat down at the same table she was sitting at.
"So. How did it go?"
Catherine smiled at her.
"As we expected. One dead worm and hundreds of destroyed eggs."
Helen was supprised.
"Eggs? It layed eggs? Then it's even better that you were here. I guess we should still search the holes it made for hidden things."
"That is a good idea."
"I can see that you two are tired so I won't bother you today. Come and speak with me tomorrow. I'll send a team to look at the place meanwhile."
"Alright."
Helen stood up and walked to the bar and spooke with the bartender. They laughed together for a little while, then the bartender went back to the kitchen.
Catherine layed on the table.
"I'm done for today."
Joseph smiled at her.
"Same here!"
After a while the bartender walked to their table with food and drinks.
"This is on the house. Helen paid for all your accommodations while you stay here."
"That is really nice."
"It is nothing for the service you two have done!"
They ate, drank and went to rest.
