Cley and Fay was standing over the bed of Flinn in the infirmary.
"Master do you think he will be alright?"
Cley looked as white as sheet.
"I don't know. He used up all of his manna in one spell and fell on the ground. Even though we restored his manna with the crystals, he use to store manna in, he didn't wake up. He is alive, but we don't know if he will ever wake up."
He clenched his fists.
"That bastard lizard! Like we wanted to be under a barrier that won't let us leave!"
Fay was confused.
"What are you talking about master?"
"Right. You don't know about it. The reason we had to leave the forest and the reason why we estabilished this city here. It all began 5.000 years ago..."
He spoke about the thruth they discovered and let them decide to live on the prairie.
5.000 years ago the spirits which gained a lot of powers started rule the world and made all the people belive that they are the gods of this world. But the true god Esnar had enough of them. He woke up Draco Nigrum and made it hunt down all the spirits. The hunt was devastating. The ancient creature easily killed every spirits in it's way, only leaving scorched earth. So the three strongest spirits, who were called ancient spirits created a barrier and isolated their belivers from the rest of the world. Then they brainwashed almost all of them and made them fight. From the fights they made enough power to keep up the barrier until nowadays. But in the last hundred years there weren't any wars, so the barrier must've weakened down.

"We were waiting for this exatc moment, so we would breake the barrier with the energy that we collected in the town of Prary and the energy of the forest. But we were fools. We didn't think about that the dragon would come and destroy everything. Seems like it didn't forget about the three spirits left."
Fay was now even more confused.
"So you wanted to break the barrier? Then why did you wait this much? Also how did you know about all this?"
Cley gave him a bittersweet smile.
"We waited more than 2.000 years, because we ned so much manna that it required this many time. We only needed a few more years to breake the barrier. About how did we know?"
He stoped for a moment, then he held out his hand, a blue swirling portal opened up and he reached in. He pulled out a book from this pocket dimension.
"Everything is written down here. It was made by my father, who lived all this through. But after we knew about this and made preperations the spirites noticed us and tried to kill us. Thankfully we were prepared. We already made the town of Prary and set up the defensive barriers. After that we trusted Bran with the construction of the magic circle in Elfheim, without telling him about anything important. Then it was the time for the waiting."
A drop of tear went down his face.
"But it was all in vain. Bran died using all the manna in the forest trying to kill that thing. Master Flin almost died using all the energy stored in the town alone, shifting the magical circle and making it into a teleportation circle."
Fay put his hand on his master's shoulder.
"It wasn't in vain. If you wouldn't have done your best we all would've died knowing nothing. But now atleast we are safe."
"If you can call this place "safe", wherever we are."
