The sword stopped a few millimeters away from his neck as a blue shimmering light surrounded him and stopped it. Another window popped up.
[Alert!
Damage deflected. 596 points lost from the medallion's defense power, 4404 left.]
'Holy Christ! What was that attack?!'
He jumped back as soon as she stopped with a surprised look.
'She did not expect that I had some defense prepared. I'm glad I got that medallion.'
"What did you do?"
She shouted as she prepared to strike again, but then she suddenly stopped and yelled firmly.
"Stop! Everyone stop!"

The others were just about to strike each other with spells and swords, but then they suddenly stiffened as well. It seemed like even Catherine couldn't resist it.
'Is this the power of a hero?'
She took her sword away just as another window popped up.
[Sorry about that!
I've talked to Esnar, now you won't have any problems with the heroes...]
'Wait what?'
"I'm sorry about that!"
She said it with an unchanged facial expression.
"You nearly killed me!"
"Fortunately. Our benevolent god decided that you have to live, so I won't kill you. But remember! Even if you are a demon acknowledged by our god, you should still follow our rules."
Joseph was surprised.
"Demon? What are you talking about? I'm just a human, like you!"
She went back to the campfire and his guards did the same.
"Belive what you must, but leave now. I don't want to be near you!"
As she stopped speaking the spell's effect wore out and they could move again. Joseph turned to Catherine, who looked really angry at Rosaline.
"Let's just leave. They don't seem friendly."
They turned around and got on their horses.
As they were going away Catherine went closer to him, so that they can speak.
"Why are we just leaving, without retort? We could've taken them."
Joseph shook his head.
"I don't know what the heroes that you know about like, but this one would've killed us."
After the adrenalin ran out of his body he started shaking.
"I felt like she was holding back, but even then the medallion we just got is severely damaged by that hit. Do you really think we could've killed her anyway?"
She seemed lost in thoughts for a few moments.
"I'm not sure."
They went along the road for one more hour before setting up a camp.
