It was the next day, and Leon was sitting in his classroom surrounded by his classmates, asking him questions about the duel that was trending around the academy. Unknowingly to him.
"Are you feeling okay, Leon?"
"I saw the duel the other day and you did great!"
"How did you beat him? It seemed impossible to defeat him."
All of his classmates were asking him questions about how he managed to beat Karl Stuart, to him that was strange. People never used to pay attention to him ever since he enrolled in the Military Academy. He didn't expect that defeating Karl would Be such a big deal within the academy.
"Yeah, I didn't expect that I would win so easily, hahaha..." Leon gave an awkward laugh in his response to the questions that his classmates were asking him.
"Besides, neither of us won. The duel was cut short by members of the Student Council, so...." Leon added.
That morning was awkward for him. His classmates were acting strange and people were staring at him for no reason. He had noticed that since he got to the classroom.
'What's this, did I make a mistake by coming to school today? If I didn't, Liam would nag me about school.' (Leon)
"Hahaha, don't be modest, dude! You practically won!" Scott threw his arms around him in a friendly way. "I never thought that you had a chance, but look at you!"
Leon heaved a heavy sigh, knowing that things would get worse throughout the day. But some hope remained in his thoughts.
"Good morning students! I hope you weren't caught up in the duel and are prepared for today!" A familiar voice rang in the classroom, and everyone standing around Leon went to their seats.
It was Ava who had interrupted them from asking Leon more questions. She looked even better than before.
When she entered the classroom she glanced over at Leon, and their eyes met. She gave him a gentle smile.
'Oh, thank you, Miss Ava. You saved me from answering a lot of questions. But she looks really beautiful!' (Leon)
"Ah, I see that all of you are present in the classroom today!" She said before she started calling out her student's names from the register.
"It's nice to have you back with us today, Leon. Hopefully, you've recovered and are ready to join today's class. That's because today, we will be doing some practical exercise!" She explained.
"Oh, thank God. I thought that we would be left far behind the other classes."
"I've been waiting long to go outside and do something new."
The students were excited to do some practical training finally. Although they had lots of work to do to catch up with the other classes, to them, it was a start.

"So... what kind of exercise are we going to do? Is it physical or magic?" Alexis raised her hands and asked Ava.
Ava just gave a mysterious grin, as if she was trying to hide something.
"Well, let's just say it's a bit of both, (chuckles). I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise!" She brushed off the student's concerns.
'Miss Ava is still as fun-loving as always... even though she may seem lazy, she's still a strong woman. Besides, Miss Ava was in the same class as my father. ' (Leon)
Leon couldn't help but smile at the uncertainty of the future. All of the other students in Leon's class were also excited about the practical training. They couldn't believe their mind that they finally got the chance to begin their training.
'I can't believe that I get to properly start my new life in the Military Academy... this is going to be awesome!' (Leon)
Leon and his classmates were gathered in the academy's training area, along with their teacher Miss Ava. The sun was shining brightly in the sky, scorching the skin of all the Class 1-F students. They were standing in a wide field with some obstacles scattered around, and an area for mages to practice their magic.
Oh, and there was an area for shooting and to test weapons.
"Alright, guys, we will test your stamina and magic recovery ability to see how fast you can rebuild your stamina and magic!" Ava explained to her students. "First, you guys have to finish your magic and stamina for me to see how good you are at conserving your energy. next, I want to see how quickly you can replenish your stamina and magic!" Ava added
The students knew what she asked of them, but some who couldn't use magic were confused and didn't know what to do.
"But Miss Ava, what about those who can't use magic?" Vince asked her.
"So, they have to watch as everyone else trains and not do anything?" Alexis chimed in.
Leon nodded in agreement with Vincent and Alexis.
Ava was caught off guard by the questions her students had asked, she didn't know what to say or do to answer the questions. Everyone was staring at her waiting for an answer.
"Well, those who can't use magic will do the physical exercise instead," Ava suggested. "By the way, may I see the students who can't use magic?"
The students who couldn't properly use magic raised their hands, they were two people; Leon and Vincent. They were both swordsmen, and some swordsmen don't, or rather can't use magic in small amounts or huge ones.
'So Vince and I cannot use magic, huh? It's kind of a shocker to find out that. I never expected this...' (Leon)
Vincent glanced at Leon with a surprised look on his face, Leon was deep in his thoughts and also surprised. He didn't expect Vince to not have magic as yet.
Their other classmates were also in shock.
"Vincent Miller and Leon will just participate in the physical training only," Ava said to her students. "And the rest of you will participate in both activities!" Ava gave them a thumbs-up to show her support.
That day, the students of the Class 1-F classroom did some exercises, and those who could use magic did some practice with their magic, such as: firing their best spells at some test dummies, and learning how to control their magic. Before they knew it, it was time to return to their classroom.
Afterwards...
Some students were lying on the ground out of breath and tired. Most of them couldn't properly conserve their magic, so they ran out quickly. And those who could control their magic were still standing, and also Leon and Vince.
"You guys need to train yourselves to conserve your magic! As a student of the Imperial Military Academy, you need to improve yourselves, and strive to be the best!" Ava encouraged the students.
"(Breathing heavily) Yeah... we know, I know that we will get better," Samuel said, as he tried to catch his breath.
"Ouch, everywhere is in pain!" Emma exclaimed.
"I can't feel my body. Everywhere is in pain..."
"Can someone please assist with heading back to class?!"
The students were in pain.
"Alright! Please return to the classroom and rest up, I'll be going back to the class after lunchtime." Ava said to her students.
After recovering, the students returned to the classroom to have their rest. The hours flew past and the day was over.
'Today was tough! I did my training. Father, I did something on my own.' (Leon)
