"Um, who are you?" Haruto asked the couple, his gaze focused on the strange people surrounding him.
The woman and the man stared at him in shock and disbelief, as if he said something out of line. They were at a loss for words at the fact that their son didn't remember them.
'But the doctor said that he was fine, though....' The woman thought to herself.
"Leon, are you feeling okay?" The woman asked him "You seem to be alright though..... Maybe something went wrong?" She added, leaning in and trying to figure out what was wrong with him.
"Dear, calm down... our son is going to be alright." The man chimed in and started to assure the woman.
Even though Haruto had some understanding of what was going on, he still was clueless. Because he never thought that he'd experience what the protagonists of his favorite Isekai light novels faced. At least that's how he felt in that moment.
'What is going on? Is this truly happening...? If I was truly reincarnated in another world...wouldn't I understand the language right away? I don't have a good knowledge of web novels, although I read plenty of them, but I know that those kinds of stories are pretty popular in anime and manga...'
As the realization began to hit him and the initial shock had worn-out, he began to cry from both happiness and sorrow; and from all of the shared memories he'd made with his family and friends.
Noticing that he was crying, the woman was confused and didn't know what to do.
"Someone please get him some water or something?!" The woman asked.
A maid rushed into the room after hearing the woman ask for water. She was carrying a tray that had a cup filled with water on it. She placed it on Leon's lap and he took a sip and put the cup back on the tray.
'I'd always thought that reincarnation was a myth, that people made up or something... Now I am in another world...'
He got up from the bed and stood in front of the mirror in his room, and looked into it. He was bewildered to see what had happened to him— he wasn't in his body, and to make things more complicated, he was a child.
The first thing Haruto noticed was his lovely, long silver whitish hair that had been washed for years, and his bright big blue eyes that would be rare in the place where he came from. He wore a light blue pajama that made him look adorable!

"Oh wow, I look young..." He marveled at himself in front of the mirror.
The man and the woman were confused about what their son was doing. To them, he was acting strange... maybe something had happened to him when he was in the coma.
He returned to the bed after admiring himself in the mirror. 'This is my second chance at life, I can't waste my time! It will be good if I stay away from the politics of this world....'
"What's wrong, Leon dear? Are you feeling okay?!"
"Oh... nothing, Mother, I'm fine.." He answered the woman, as he was looking at his reflection in the mirror while sitting on his bed.
The woman who seemed to be his mother had long, silver whitish hair, and the same bright blue eyes as her son with pale skin, she was wearing a nice dress, which made her look like a noblewoman. She looked to be in her late 20s.
The man who was standing next to her was a man around the age of 30, he had brown hair and brown eyes, and he was also wearing expensive clothes.
'Okay let's see, base on my knowledge of Isekai web novels and light novels I might end up in a middle-aged Europe-type world or something similar. But I'd guess from how the couple dressed, I think I will go with my first option.'
The woman and the man glanced at each other in confusion at the fact that their son was behaving strangely as if someone else had taken over his body.
"Mother, father. I'm coming in!" A much younger female voice said before she entered the room.
It was a little girl who looked somewhat exactly like Leon who came into the room and smiled upon seeing him in good shape. She then began to fidget with her fingers. It was strange for Leon.
'Huh, she looks exactly like me. Is she my twin sister?... I gotta be the most unlucky guy...'
She smiled shyly at him, before she hid behind the woman. Haruto was shocked at seeing the girl hide from him, Since he was good with kids in his past life.
"Sophie, don't be afraid of your older twin brother." The woman said calming down the girl.
"Uh, one question... What kind of older brother was I?" He asked.
"Well, you weren't a very good big brother." The woman replied to his question.
"You don't remember what happened before the incident...?" The man asked curiouser.
"No... what exactly happened to me...?"
"It's nothing. Just get some rest and try to regain your strength, alright?" The man said changing to topic of the conversation.
Leon nodded, hopping that they would forget about asking him that specific question about his memories.
'What happened to me? Well, I'll find out later what happened to this body...'
Sophie walked slowly to him, her feet trembling as she got closer. She hugged him tightly when she reached him.
"I hope you get well soon..." Sophie whispered to him.
"Uhh, thanks."
And so, Leon remained in his room for the rest of the day to recover his strength. During that time, all he did was lie in bed and gaze at the spacious compound through the window. Later on that night, a celebration was held to celebrate that Leon had recovered from his coma, and regained his strength.
'My new life is just beginning... I can't wait to see where this new journey takes me!'
Leon smiled at Sophie and the rest of the family, and they all enjoyed the party together. After that, he went to bed.
