Leon's Perspective.
The scientist guy led us into the training room, which kind of looks like a typical lab from my old world. The inside had lots of testing areas where maybe they do experiments.
Everywhere I turned I saw people in lab coats running around, working, doing their jobs. But I couldn't get the thought of this world having technology out of my mind.
Well, at this point, nothing else could surprise me in this world! Hopefully Sophie is doing all right. And hopefully she found her friend, Daniella...
All of my classmates were looking around the room with some looking in awe and some in disbelief. Huh, didn't none of them heard about VR before? I could have sworn that the ordinary people of this world had heard about VR before.
Samuel been acting weird ever since this morning! What could be the problem with him?
Did he get into a fight before school today?! But his skin doesn't seem to have any marks on it!
So I walked up behind Samuel and tapped him on his shoulder. He turned around and looked at me, it seems like he's in a bad mood.
"....."
Samuel didn't say anything to me, he just stared at me.
"What's the matter, Sam? Are you feeling alright?" I asked him.
Samuel shock his head before he spoke to me.
"Everything's okay, I just had a bad dream and didn't recover from it!" Samuel replied to my question with a forced smile on his face.
"Alright, if you say so dude... just talk to me if you need to talk to someone, alright?"
I decided to leave him alone for now. For him to come back to his normal senses. As we made our way deeper into the building, the scenery changed from lots of people working together in one space, to a desolate hallway that was dimly lit.
"So, what brings you to our laboratory, lady Ava? You wasn't interested in studying like the rest of us. I don't know what you're up to, but...." The scientist guy asked Ava as we made our way down the desolate hallway.
"Like I said earlier, I want to borrow your virtual reality thingy to train my students!"
"Ah, so you're using the children as a way to get permission to come here, huh?"
"No! You're definitely wrong!"
Miss Ava and the scientist guy were talking in front of us as we made our way down the desolate hallway.
Stolen story; please report.
All of my classmates were looking at the both of them while they continued to argue with each other. While Samuel and I were in our own worlds.
They still don't know that we all could hear then... are we invisible? None of us didn't even try to interrupt them, all of us just listened to them arguing. Well, it's better for us to listen to miss Ava and scientist guy argue, than to fight amounce ourselves...
When we arrived at the end of the desolate hallway, we came upon another room with a metal pair of doors. The scientist guy reached into his Lab coat's pocket and took out a kind of a identification card and scanned it in the scanner near the door.
At that moment, a beeping sound echoed in our ears, and as the doors slowly slid open and the scientist guy entered and he gestured us to follow him.
"Welcome to the VR training room, where we develop the best simulation systems for the Military!" The scientist guy welcomed us.
"Wow, so this is it, huh?!"
"Cool!!!"
"Amazing!! I just can't wait to use them!"
All of my classmates looked very excited to see the room and the VR setups. The room looked like a normal room, but with lots of giant TV screens and computer monitors hanging up on the walls and on tables. And a giant machine was in the middle of the room with some chairs that have VR headsets connected to them and they were hocked up to the machine.
Oh, and people were working on the computers, and on the giant machine.
"This right here, is the Simulation N22," the scientist guy said while pointing to the giant machine." This is our latest project. Although it's in its demo stages, we have some success in starting it up. But we need someone to help us test if it is useful or harmful!"
The scientist guy explained.
Did Ava bring us here to be lab rats? I can't believe this!
"But sir, isn't unsafe?"
One of my classmates asked the scientist guy.
"No. It's not harmful to humans... but we want to be safe. We just want you guys to test out the machine for us, that's all."
Miss Ava didn't say or do anything. She just stand there and just listening to everything.
"But isn't it dangerous?"
"Yeah, there could still be a chance it's dangerous for us..."
"I say we don't have to use that VR machine!"
My classmates were talking between themselves.
"Alright, students! Since you wanted to do something today, and didn't want to sit in class all day. Why don't you just go for it, hehe!"
Miss Ava suggested to us, with a smile on her face. Something tells me that she have something to do with it...
I couldn't shake the thought that miss Ava have something to do with what's going on....
I don't know how, but miss Ava convinced us to hock up with the giant machine at the middle of the room.
"Okay, everyone. Split yourselves into two teams, blue and red. The two teams will be facing off each other in two rounds of capture the flag... and whichever team either eliminates the most members of the opponent's team or captures the flag wins."
The scientist guy explained the rules of the game to us. And so, we split ourselves into two teams and made our way to the two sets of chairs that were connected to the VR machine.
I didn't have to think before I chose my team. So I walked up to the blue sides of chairs and sat down. My flour other teammates joined me. Oh, it seems like Alice, Emma, and Scott, alongside another of my classmates joined my team.
And it seems like Samuel joined the red team along with the others...
"Upon you entering the Simulated area, you will no be able to use your magic, or special Items you may have on your person. You will have to go and search for a weapon that suits you... good luck to you guys.."
The scientist guy explained to us once more... so we can't use our magic... oh well, not like I can use magic anyway.
Good luck to Samuel and the others. As I put the VR headset on, everywhere got dark all of a sudden. I couldn't see anything!
