"I'm going to head out now, dude. See you later!" Liam said to Leon as he prepared himself to leave for school.

"Yeah..."

Leon gave him a blank look, as he sat in his bed.

"Are you sure you want to stay at home? I know that you're recovering, but..."

"I am going to be fine. You don't have to worry about me I'll be alright." Leon assured his roommate that he was going to be okay.

"That's cool... I understand. I'll be heading out now. " Liam exclaimed as he rushed out of the room. Leaving Leon lying down on his bed.

Now Leon was all alone in the room he shared with his roommate. He didn't know what to do for the rest of his day.

'Sighs... now that I'm all alone here, I feel bored and don't know what to do throughout the rest of the day. It's boring to be honest...' (Leon)

'I feel bored and don't know what to do. The academy is a boring place... I wonder how the other students go through the day without doing anything stupid.'

Leon was deep in his thoughts, thinking about what he would do next. It wasn't like he could go on a device to pass the time. Well, you see, although this world has advanced technology in its infrastructure and way of life, it lacks the phone and other devices department.

To pass the time, people usually spend their time working and doing recreational activities with their magic and other stuff.

Leon tried to study to at least try and catch up with the other First year students in the other classes, but he couldn't fight off the boredom. So he ended up giving up and got ready and went out to cool off his head for a while.

'I'll go out for some fresh. And maybe I would do something afterward...' (Leon)

Leon didn't know what he should do with his time recovering from using his [Speed Blitz] sword skill during the duel against Karl Stuart.

He tries to do something to combat his boredom like looking out through the window at the compound and trying to sleep to pass the time, but nothing works.

Was he too excited or nervous to sleep? Or he just couldn't sleep properly.

'Ah, I guess it's going to be hard for me to have a good rest after all. Things couldn't get any worse now...'

I couldn't focus on anything to do for me to pass the time. I tried everything before. But obviously, nothing worked.

So I remained sitting on my bed and in the clothes I slept with. Sighs.... maybe it would be in my best interest to go out for some fresh air in the academy's compound.

But what if I get caught by the Disciplinary Committee or members of the Student Council? It won’t end well for me...

It was impossible for me to even think of going out of my room and hanging out somewhere, especially when I didn't know anywhere fun in the academy.

As I continued to be deep in my thoughts, thinking about what to do, I heard a knock on the door. It didn't sound like how Liam knocked on the door.

That brought me to my senses, out of my thoughts. I initially thought that it was someone coming to punish me for not attending today's class or someone coming to check up on me.

But when I opened the door, the first thing I saw was a girl wearing the school's uniform and pink color hair, and a guy with brown hair standing behind her. They both had red armbands just like Jessica on their left shoulders.

They both look like upperclassmen. What are they doing here?

"Uhhh."

"Good day, you must be Leon, the boy who fought against Karl Stuart in a duel recently?"

The beauty with pink hair asked. But I didn't respond to her question.

"I know that seeing us may put you somewhat on edge. But please cooperate with us."

She added with a smile on her face.

"Okay... I'll cooperate with you guys."

I know I can easily slam the door in their faces, but something tells me it would be a terrible idea. And also, I was curious to hear what they wanted to ask me.

"Thank you for deciding to cooperate with us. We want to ask you some questions about the duel, can we?"

"Yeah, sure. Go ahead, I'm ready to answer any question. "

"Before we proceed with the questioning, may we discuss this privately? We don't want anyone else to hear about it."

The beauty with pink hair asked me. I nodded and followed the two to an empty room in an unfamiliar area in the academy. I guess it's somewhere in the upperclassmen area...

I sat down on some comfortable sofas across from the pink-haired beauty and the brown-haired guy.

Leon was sitting in an unfamiliar room somewhere in the upperclassmen area. He was sitting across from the two people who wanted to question him about the duel between him and Karl Stuart.

They were separated by a small coffee table that had a tray with cups of tea and sweets laid out neatly.

"Thank you for cooperating with us. Now let's start!" The pink-haired girl exclaimed as she tried to make Leon feel comfortable.

"Ah, you don't have to thank me. I didn't have anything to do back in my dorm, so it's alright." Leon responded to her with a slight smile on his face.

The boy who accompanied her didn't say or do anything. To him, he only came to support her.

"Ahem. Please, let's go on with the questions we have for you. Question one, being: how did the duel start?"

'Let's see, let's see... I think the duel started because Karl didn't accept the defeat he faced during the entrance ceremony. That's all I know...' (Leon)

"I don't have any clue. Maybe it's because he couldn't accept the defeat during the entrance ceremony." Leon answered.

He didn't know why she was asking him a question like that. To him, it felt like he was under investigation from the pink-haired girl and her companion.

"Is there any purpose to asking these questions?" Leon asked. "It kinda feels like you guys are trying to get something out of me." Leon could feel like he's under investigation for a crime or something.

'There got to be a reason why they are trying to ask me these questions about the duel... well, if they are trying to get information from me about the duel, then they must be from the Student Council or the Disciplinary Committee...' (Leon)

"Ah, let's move on with the questions," the pink-haired girl dodged Leon's question. "Next question, did you sense anything strange during the duel about your opponent Karl Stuart?"

She asked him, as her face turned serious all of a sudden. Leon didn't know what to do or say in that situation.

"Well, yeah, I noticed something strange about him when he challenged me for the second time..."

"So you did know? I mean, about the dark magi--"

She was about to spill everything, but the boy who accompanied her covered her mouth, preventing her from saying anything further. But Leon noticed something about the questions.

"Ahem. Sorry, but there are some things that you don't have to know, I apologize." The brown-haired guy spoke up for the first time during the questioning.

"Those were all the questions we have to ask you. Thank you for cooperating with us."

Both the pink-haired girl and her partner bowed to show appreciation for Leon cooperating with them.

"Thanks." Leon thanked them for helping with his boredom.

"Since that's all, you can return to your dorm or... stay here and enjoy yourself with us and eat sweets!" The pink-haired girl suggested to him.

It didn't take long for him to decide. He decided to stay and hang out with the both of them to at least pass the time until school was finished for the day. He ended up spending the entire afternoon with the both of them eating sweets and drinking tea. But he mostly enjoyed eating the sweets prepared by the pink-haired girl.

By the way, her name is Mirabille Adelaide, a member of the Student Council. And the brown-haired boy's name is Alexander Kurt, another member of the Student Council. They're kind of high-ranking members.

Leon returned to his dorm later in the afternoon. 'It's good to come out of my room once in a while... Boredom is stupid.' (Leon)

'It's weird that they didn't give me any information on the questions they asked me. Maybe something is happening underground..?' Leon thought to himself as he arrived at his room.
