The Old Man's Friend

The Old Man's Friend

Mein arrogantly scoffed, "Because I am the one holding power here. It is I who have the home ground advantage. I have Aurora Phoenix to assist me. All the people you killed were weaklings, the ones next to me can even qualify as Supreme Direct Subordinates. The enemies you face will only get stronger and stronger! Not to mention you are a measly…ehm what was is it? 74? The woman who sleans my toes has a higher level than you!"

"He also killed one of our people," chimed in Shaniqwa, desperately trying to get attention away from her. Her sweating had not reduced, not in the slightest. It had actually gotten worse. She felt as if she was the target of Death's Messengers. Anxiety and fear plagued her mind. In her eyes, Will wasn't simply a young man dragging corpses. He was the devil himself dragging demons behind him. She knew that this was an illusion, but some part of her primal prime could not help but believe this image in front of her. The closer Will got the worse her condition got, thus she had decided to use this opportunity to escape from Will by having attention drawn to him.

Rhino grimaced and bellowed, "That's right, you killed the old man!"

Will looked at Aurora and asked, "Are you sure that you are the dimensional traveler's owner?"

Aurora retorted, "I am his friend."

Will then said, "Because he was an assassin who learned of a water type treasure I had. The treasure's value is incalculable as it assists water type users with their leveling. I assume the order to kill me was sent by you then?"

Rhino shouted, "No, she did not. If he acted, he acted by himself. But still, you have no evidence-" Aurora touched her shoulder and shook her head.

The old man was a well-known assassin and thief. He only joined her banner due to the benefits he thought he would gain. Aurora had no doubt of that. Rhino was aware of what she meant. She stopped herself and calmed down.

Aurora looked at Will, "My apologies, his mission was only to observe and report. I did not ask him to kill you. Once we have you captured, I will lessen the restraints on you to make life easier as an apology."

"Unfortunately that is an apology I can't afford to buy. But there is no need to apologize, I fought Old Man Mu and killed him myself."

Before Aurora and Co could react to this dynamite like news, Mein's irritating voice sounded out.

"Madam, you wouldn't happen to know about this treasure? I am a water type cultivator myself, so this is interesting to me," said Mein to Aurora.

She shook her head. "I'm sorry, we had no knowledge of this treasure. Nor do we desire for it in any way. Our objective is the Empire!"

"That's right Mein. Take her word for it. After all, all you are to her is a man who she can manipulate easily due to your lust. She is very trustworthy, look at how innocent her eyes are." Will's words made Mein frown. Aurora was looking more and more suspicious.

"You fool, he is the real target!" Rhino said as she pointed at Will.

Mein snapped back to normal when Will looked at Aurora, "I have 3 questions for you Aurora, answer them and I will give myself up."

Everyone found this fishy, but Aurora took the bait, like everyone she was curious.

"First question is," Will directed his gaze at Shaniqwa, "Can you trust this fatty?"

As far as everyone was concerned this question was stupid. It was clear that Aurora and Mein had not allied together permanently. It was simply a matter of the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Rhino put on a smug face and was about to rebuke Will when she heard a loud shriek.

"AH!"

That's when she and everyone finally had their attention's drawn back to Shaniqwa. Her sweating had made her a small fountain, and her skin started to melt. Indeed, melt, as if it was made of wax. Her face melted along with her entire body until all the melted material had gone away, leaving a naked blonde, blue-eyed girl in its place. That familiar look was undeniable. She was a robot Nazi. What made this even more unfortunate was the fact that she had quickly risen up the ranks, becoming one of Aurora's confidants. Now it was clear what she was. At first, Will's question was ridiculous, but now, things were different. Before people could quickly digest what was happening, Will spoke once more, "He can clearly turn his Nazis into anyone, so the second question, what has he already done with this power?"

Will's second question was like a bomb in the minds of Aurora and her crew. They were just digesting the fact that one of them was a mole, now a frightening thought entered their thoughts, what had Mein already done? How many moles had he created? How deeply into their organization had he infiltrated? How many organizations had he infiltrated? Adelda and her crew felt a twinge of fear enter their hearts. They all looked at Mein with a suspicious look on their eyes.

Mein opened his arms and said, "Listen, don't let him fool you! I have have seen this woman before in my life! Listen-"

Will quickly interrupted the fatty, "Question 3, If Mein became hostile, then who would be easier to deal with? A few guys from the empire you are well equipped to fight, or a Fascist army that is well organized and has the home-court advantage? Of course, that's not forgetting how he has the ability to infiltrate any organization. Were it not for my skill which removes disguises, you would still be in the dark!"
