Odinson! Hear My Call!

Odinson! Hear My Call!

The lightning in the thundercloud above crackled with excitement, almost as if it was expecting what was about to happen.

The ambient mana in the arena had been completely subjugated by the divine energy that was being churned out in small amounts.

"Odinson, hear my call."

Will's body was chanting as he kept pulling the prince. As Indomitable Moon had stopped attacking there was no need to use Loki's Substitution. All he used now were Valhalla Path and Hydrolytic Fission to move around while he prepared his spell through his clone in the centre of the array.

"I ask as your humble servant to be your banner."

Will's deep and flat voice caught the crowd by surprise. It was not uncommon to find mages that don't chant, after all how many people had the ability to speak entire sentences while they battled?

Will had used the Frozen Asgard Mask to adjust his voice. He gave it much more base and made it much more neutral in terms of accent.

Will's clone in the middle of the array made a hand sign that resulted in a few electrical sparks to gather above its outstretched hand, while Will continued to chant.

"Odinson, hear my call! With thunder's might and lightning's sprawl, I summon thee, great god of war, To seal this spell forevermore. Let spacial energy be bound. By Thor's power, unbreakable, unbound. With a strike of thunder, seal this fate. Odinson, I beseech thee, hear my call!"

Indomitable Moon barely had control over his senses let alone his body, but he could not help but feel a great foreboding.

As Indomitable Moon finished his preparations. His heart palpitated in fear as he sensed the storm above.

"If I am worthy, imbue me with strength. Let the fury of thunder rain down on my foe."

Will was not shouting, but everyone heard him loud and clear. When one chanted, more often than not, one's voice would gain a mystical echo that amplified one's voice, causing it to diffuse into the surroundings like a supernatural melody. The higher the tier of the spell, the more exaggerated the effect.

Indomitable Moon had enough. As he was about to reach his target he grimaced and roared. His spinning had reached terminal velocity while the momentum he had within him was threatening to tear him apart. He already had qualms with what he was about to do. He would face a severe punishment for using this ability in the public eye. But he could not lose face for the Veritas or for the Lycus.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

"Ha!"

As soon as he was about to reach his target, the Truth around his body fluctuated intensely and exploded outwards. The green tinge of Truth within darkened as the Truth became even more stable with each nanosecond passing. Alas his efforts were futile.

In the same breath Indomitable Moon chose to act, Will also made his move, almost as if he had been waiting for the prince to make his attack. The more astute among the observers noticed the oddity and were excited for what was about to happen next.

Will was not an expert of Truth, but now could tell what an omnidirectional True Strike was. He could also see everything happening inside Gianluigi's body through his passive ability from Bloodlust. He was a bit intimated, but he was still confident.

'All I asked from Thor was force. Pure force. Now it's time to finish this.'

With a swipe of his arm. The Array lit up and thrummed. Tha mana that had been gathering coalesced. All the different elements fused with the divine energy coursing through the array. The cloud-like hammer suddenly smashed downward like a bolt of unstoppable lightning.

Its target was the silhouette of Indomitable Moon that had just launched his Omnidirectional True Strike. It had managed to completely obliterate his foe. Will had once again used Loki's Substitution and Hydrolytic Fission to shift his position at the last second and had already moved toward his clone in the centre. But it was futile.

The clone he left behind had been destroyed by the green sphere of Truth with Gianluigi as the source. A bubble of dense Truth spread out. Destroying what it could.

As a higher sense, Truth was usually the most dominant energy in an environment. This was even more so for an Omnidirectional True Strike. But there everything had its nemesis.

As the membrane wall of Truth approached Will had completed his goal. Will made a striking motion in front of him and almost whispered the name of the spell. Yet despite his intentions, his voice still caught everyone's attention.

"Seal of Odinson: Mjolnir's Lock down!"

Gasps escaped the mouths of the more knowledgeable observers while Indomitable Moon was horrified. And rightly so at that. For the Crown Prince of Lycus knew this spell.

His Master, Every lasting Willow had once battled against a servant of Thor who also carried a blessing from the Odinson. He had seen first hand the power of Seal of Odinson.

The cloud-like hammer turned into a blinding flash of light that surged straight to the growing sphere. The sphere expanded incredibly fast. But no matter how fast it was, it could not out manoeuvre lightning.

As soon as the hammer struck the sphere of Truth, something strange occurred. There was no explosion, no great fluctuation of energy. Or any other strange phenomenon. In fact the opposite occurred.

It was as if all the different energies in the environment became sluggish. The only active energies were the ones that had coalesced into the array and were boosting Mjolnir's Lockdown.

Indomitable Moon watched in abject horror as his sphere of Truth slowed down till it came to a complete stop just a few metres ahead of Will. The entire sphere of truth stopped expanding like a balloon that had had its air supply cut off during expansion. Unique patterns spread out from the Cloud hammer and covered the green sphere.

The Norse runes carried various energies that fused and mixed in multiple ways that only served to strengthen the spell.

Will used Valhalla Path to position himself in the centre of the arena. He dispersed his clone and took complete control of the array. It was a shocking display of smooth transitions between action and spell casting.

His arms came together as if he was holding an invisible sphere in his arms the size of a basketball. Slowly, as if there was some powerful force repelling his hands, he started to press his arms together.

It was as if he was trying to crush an invisible sphere in his hands.
