Kill Stealing: Great Ogre General

Kill Stealing: Great Ogre General

Soul Armour was made out of souls, thus, it could be combusted by Soul Explosion, since the Armour was concentrated spritual energy; the output of concussive force was on a different level. With a thunderous boom, the middle of the gate burst open, creating a gap a few meters wide.

Letty quickly unleashed a series of small-scale but well placed Soul Explosions to create a path, encouraging the torrent of users to enter the stronghold. Then she retreated back into the army to catch her breath. She went into a group of Tsimikas warriors and sat down cross-legged. Her job was done. The tale of Queen Abyss, the hooded Necromancer who turned the tide of battle, was bound to spread after this war. Her spells, born from the depths of death itself, painted the battlefield in a macabre ballet of destruction!

But Letty was far from satisfied. Although she was strong thanks to her connection to her companions, she was still not strong enough to use Soul regalia properly.

'I'm probably not even using 10% of its output.'

Letty had a superb mana capacity and output, but her mana quality was still average at best. Thus she was not able to fully utilize the spell. She also could not apply Intent properly and could only use it to give her undead rudimentary intelligence.

'If only I had received a dan like Alice or Divine Energy like Duke. Just one of these could have set me up for life!'

Duke had been below her in potential, but now he was above her. He not only received the blessing of a deity, he had even received a legacy that came with a weapon, a cultivation art and spells! Even if Duke was weak physically, he would improve with time. But she had a great flaw. Her mind was weak!

Her three vessels were born slightly out of harmony. This resulted in her being unable to control energy the right way. She often lost control of her spells as she was growing up. The Yiva Royal Family of Eridium was well known for producing powerhouse mages. Even for a Middle World, their bloodline was of a high standard. But Letty, despite being born with an incredible mana pool capacity and output, was unable to make use of it.

It did not matter how large a swimming pool was if only a portion of it could be filled. No matter how much she cultivated, she could hardly fill up her mana pool because her vessels were not able to properly communicate due to weak mental energy. Thus she could only fill up her mana pool slowly; despite this, she could empty it quickly. Not only that, but she could barely control the flow, resulting in a horrendously wasteful output. For mages, output without control was extremely inefficient.

The harmony brought by Soul Chain Share temporarily solved these issues for her, but Letty kept wondering, what would she do if Duke and Alice were not there?

As Letty pondered on this, the humans quickly took care of the ogres in the stronghold. A few boss-type characters appeared, but the user powerhouses hidden within the human factions, such as the fire mage Duke had witnessed earlier, took action at this point, using up their own trump cards and secret skills. These bosses were walking mountains of experience that the humans desperately wanted. The one who got the last hit would get a greater percentage than the others, and thus the ones hiding their true power came out to hunt these boss-like characters. But there could only be one Main Boss. The Main Boss for the stronghold was the Great Ogre General!

Since Tsimikas had rtracted its interest in these rewards, the others rested easy. The first user to kill the leader of the stronghold would not only get a huge chunk of experience, but they would also gain a title and incredible rewards!

Of course, everyone would receive rewards from this war, but no one received more rewards in terms of experience than the group that took down the Great Ogre General.

[Great Ogre General: Leader of the ogre stronghold. It is not that intelligent, but it is incredibly powerful and has great regenerative power. It has awakened a small portion of the Ogre King's bloodline, thus giving it great World Energy aptitude and plenty of berserk skills as well. It is vicious, bloodthirsty and has a vengeful personality. Challenge at your own risk.

Class: Sector Boss]

Letty sighed as she looked at the prompt that appeared as soon as the behemoth-like ogre appeared. It did not wait to be attacked in its throne room and directly jumped outside once the humans had made significant progress in taking over its castle-like stronghold. It landed on the plaza with a loud thud and released a roar that stunned the battlefield into silence.

It was over 30 meters tall and looked like a grey humanoid pig covered in gothic dark purple armour. The World Energy around it was murky and black like smoke formed from burning crude oil.

It had tusks protruding from its mouth as it drooled uncontrollably. Its saliva dripped onto the ground and caused sizzling noises as if it was acid from hell itself. Each step of the giant caused the earth to tremble while it held a massive club that seemed as if it could destroy a mountain in one swing.

Swoosh!

8 previously unseen cultivators landed in front of the beast and released their peak level 99 aura. It was a group of 4 mages and 4 warriors. These 8 did not move an inch since the start of the battle, but they had finally acted.

Their power level was a cut above everyone else, with the exception of Letty. They were true blue level 99 powerhouses capable of changing the complexion of any battlefield.

'These guys are all around Aurora Phoenix's level, at the very least. They could easily become Supreme Candidates on Earth.'

Letty narrowed her eyes at the 8 that had just shown. They were the 8 strongest leaders within the Ta Dasi and Kolladas Tis Moira. Their fame was not weaker than Letty's, perhaps even greater. But they had refused to take part in the war and had only lent a portion of their troops to the battle. Their objective was to deal with the Sector Boss, and had no interest in anything else.

Kill stealing was a common practice, and thus no one was shocked. Some of the stronger leaders were annoyed by their appearance but didn't show their displeasure because if you had the bigger gun, you were always right. This was the law of the world.

As the deafening roar of the Great Ogre General echoed across the battlefield, Letty's heart quickened with a mixture of anticipation and amusement. She watched as the eight formidable cultivators, each emanating a grand aura, landed before the monstrous beast. Their presence alone shifted the balance of power on the battlefield. The 4 warriors and 4 mages took centre stage while the others watched on.

The first warrior, clad in shimmering silver armour adorned with intricate engravings, exuded an aura of unwavering determination. His muscular frame and towering height marked him as a paragon of strength. With a mighty bellow, he unsheathed a massive two-handed sword and charged forward, his battle cry shaking the heavens.

The second warrior, a lithe figure wrapped in flowing crimson robes, emanated an air of grace and precision. Twin daggers, glinting with a razor-sharp edge, were wielded with expert dexterity. With lightning-fast movements, he weaved through the air, leaving trails of crimson energy in his wake, striking at the Great Ogre General's exposed flanks.

The third warrior, a hulking figure with brawny arms and a stoic expression, carried a massive war hammer crackling with thunderous energy. Each swing of his weapon sent shockwaves rippling through the air, shattering the ground beneath the ogre's feet. His gaze pierced through the chaos, unwavering and unyielding.

The fourth warrior, a petite figure clothed in a cloak of shifting shadows, exuded an enigmatic aura. Twin swords, wreathed in ethereal mist, materialized in their hands. With each strike, shadows danced and twisted, engulfing the Great Ogre General in a macabre dance of darkness.

As for the mages, the first among them stood tall with a regal bearing. Clad in flowing robes adorned with intricate patterns, he conjured swirling flames that danced at his fingertips. With a sweeping motion, he unleashed a torrent of fire, engulfing the Great Ogre General in a blazing inferno.

The second mage, draped in emerald-green robes, emanated a tranquil aura. Her delicate hands weaved intricate patterns in the air, summoning the power of nature itself. Vines erupted from the ground, ensnaring the Great Ogre General and sapping its strength, rendering it momentarily vulnerable.

The third mage, garbed in azure robes, possessed eyes that sparkled with arcane knowledge. With a commanding gesture, he summoned a tempest of lightning, bolts crackling with raw power raining down upon the Great Ogre General, electrifying the air and shaking the very earth.

The fourth mage, a figure shrouded in robes of pure white, exuded an ethereal glow. Their hands moved in a delicate dance, weaving threads of healing and restoration. A gentle light enveloped the injured cultivators, revitalizing their strength and imbuing them with renewed vigour.
