There was no body, no eyesight like that of a human’s…It was just some type of existence…In a strange colourful way…
What was known as Sahara, as she seemed to become whatever this was, she wanted things to stop…Completely.
Oblivion…
Nothing…
Why couldn’t she just get that? Why was it that when she died, this type of stuff happened!?
Being so desperately saddened by her outcome, Sahara could not accept what new fate seemed to have come for her. She just saw that father-in-law of hers kill her!
It wasn’t something that she could easily accept!
For so long she had tried to get away from Green Haven, and by god she should have just stayed away! She knew it had been terrible before, that she left with good fucking reason! She left, she had gone, with no intention of returning…And now look at her!
What would her life be like if she just utterly refused to go back there?
Well, for a start, wouldn’t she still be alive?
But even these thoughts were ones that made her angry…These thoughts are ‘what if’s’ that don’t and won’t exist!
She wanted to put ‘things out of her control’ into a bucket and stop worrying or thinking about them in any regard…Well, she was dead…What was the point but…God she wanted to do something! She wanted to pull that cunt to pieces and then fry them up and feed them to…Somebody that was evil! Then that evil person would shit it out and then she’d have that shit get some type of really really bad thing happen to it too!
It was hard…
Pieces of her life…or life’s kept coming to haunt her.
The times with Steven in Purple Haven, when she had been pregnant with Kin…The times when Matthew and she had been playing ‘tag’ or whatever. When they met up again and how he had made her promise…
Sahara even missed Christian, who was more like a kid of her friends or something, she hadn’t complete responsibility of him, but he would be in her life constantly!
This type of existence, this void, seemed to bring out everything and made her think of everything and it felt like her non-existent eyes were bleeding the blood that she had spilt. The ones that she had killed…
What was it all about in the end?
What had she even changed?
Ultimately, we are all just little specs in the universe…We are small…The time will just keep going and going. The spiritual essence will just keep reshaping the planet and its people…It’ll probably never stop! It’s that fucking cycle again!
Yes, Sahara had reverted back to swearing…A lot!
Having been born in another world her swearing had nearly all but faded but now it had returned with a vengeance!
Anyway…God knows how much time went by before her ‘being’ at the time finally opened herself up to her surroundings.
Having lost everything…Again…It could have been years…Or months…
But a certain type of feeling sort of filled her, more like a ‘zombie’ where all they thought of was substance. Well, she felt like she was setting into a weird, unfeeling state.
She had to grieve her life and that of Kin’s…Who now would no longer have a mother. She then felt like more was weighing her down and so she had to figure out what that was!
But yes, finally, at some point, Sahara finally looked around and saw it all…
It wasn’t like she had hands but just a mere precise thought upon a certain strand of spiritual essence and Sahara saw somebody.
It could be a game, as far as she was aware…She could be like the computer and the people that she could see could be NPC’s. But no, it was most definitely the planet upon which she had last died, and it still had spiritual essence…
As time went by, as Sahara’s being casually went through some of the people’s essence, she came to see that not only was the spiritual essence a lot worse off, then when she last had checked when she had been alive, but indeed time had gone by.
Most of the time it wasn’t anyone she knew, as there were a lot of people in the world. She also learnt a few things about cultivation but of course, what is she going to do with that knowledge now?
But finally, someone she knew was seen through the string of spiritual essence, which indeed told her some new things. One was that Green Haven was going to be attacked once again. The attack hadn’t started yet but it was indeed in the process of it.
Did she care? Not really…
Through the eyes of the person with spiritual essence, she finally saw the Blue Haven King and he looked old…Much older than before.
Almost like she had a hand, and for the first time, Sahara reached out towards another’s essence and lost contact with the other.
This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
She didn’t know she could do that…She almost regretted it…
Not knowing what had happened to Matthew and Kin, Steven and Nether in the years that she had been in this type of existence, she was holding herself back…It was so tempting to both find out and not.
It was scary…
Every time she thought about them, she would stop for a long time, thinking about them, wanting them, but…Wouldn’t it make it harder? Wouldn’t seeing them be hard now?
That was all it took for Sahara to try and stay away from anything that might resemble anyone that might have their spiritual essence.
For who knows how long, Sahara’s being did not take in much of the Blue Haven’s Emperor’s thoughts or daily life but at the same time she did not cut the thread that kept her there.
“For the seventy thousand, five…hundred…thousand maybe times that I’ve done this, if you can hear me…Spiritual essence, please…Do what it is that you do…”
Letting out a laugh, Sahara suddenly found him entertaining. “You remind me of my father. Well, not the last father…The other…Father.”
The one from her earth life. Wow that was a long time ago now…
“Excuse me?”
Sahara watched as the Blue Haven Emperor looked around and then frowned.
“Is anyone there?” He asked.
Out of sarcasm, Sahara said, “It’s ya mother!”
“Mother?” He asked back, sounding like he somewhat believed it.
“Uh?”
“Uh?”
“Talk to me more! Please!” The Blue Haven Emperor looked flabbergasted, and he also didn’t want to let this chance go!
But Sahara was catching up and finding that he could hear her, making her go silent…
Did she really want to talk to him?
“Please! To have you finally talk to me! Please…”
Sahara could see that he thought of her, almost like he finally believed her, and she felt like her being could cry, when really it can’t…And she knew that already.
“What do you want to talk about?” Sahara asked, trying not to be overwhelmed and just be opened minded. Perhaps she can play the part of a priest, you know how they hear confessions and stuff…Someone like that…
“Well, I don’t know…I was just told to talk openly to the spiritual essence.”
His answer just reminded her of her life, and she was quiet for a time.
“…Do you follow your instincts?” It was how she was able to get this far herself so…She was curious…
“I do indeed. Probably not all the time though. As a King I have to be rational…I can’t make decisions by saying ‘Because it felt right’…”
Sahara felt her being ‘smile’ or become lighter. “I suppose you have a point there.”
And so, a relationship was started where she would be vague, but she had someone to talk to.
Not asking about things that were related to her last life, it was easier than she had thought. The Blue Haven Emperor was from another place completely and so he hardly knew anyone that she knew. His time with her, when she had been alive, and people she knew was also small so that too was rarely talked about but…The Blue Haven Emperor did think of her sometimes…
It wasn’t a gross thing, it wasn’t romantic either…It was more like he felt a conspiracy about her and never was able to let it go because he would never find the truth.
It was nice to talk to someone. To the hermit or loner that she was, it felt like it had been so long that it was actually a relief to have just a very easy and simple conversation…
She’d forgotten that others could make her feel slightly better about herself, she forgot that perhaps talking to someone was also a way to get away from her dreary thoughts.
…It was nice…
There were some strange or funny bits, where they had talked about the ‘takeaway’ shop. Sahara could give out some business pointers that she had known from her Earth life. There was also a time when she helped him with one of his consorts…
“She won’t be happy!” Sahara had stated, “You’re better off getting her something to state ‘I’m sorry’, before sticking ya dick in her virgina! You did only bed her once a long time ago!”
“It has been a long time, but surely she can accommodate this old man without making a fuss! She is my wife after all!” The Blue Haven Emperor stated openly. He wasn’t a romantic, and he didn’t think seeing a concubine would be this difficult!
She was the youngest one in his harem, one that he had stopped himself to seeing a few times now, simply because she looked so ‘cold’ to him. He shuddered thinking about that look on her face upon seeing him…
…But she was so pretty…
There was indeed a deeper story into this, but we will just state that the Blue Haven Emperor followed his ‘instincts’ and did as Sahara stated.
Nonetheless, this sexual type of conversation was indeed strange to the Blue Haven Emperor…
…Again, god knows how much time went past but Sahara was finally becoming more and more herself once again, being able to talk casually with him. It probably helped that she continued to be in her ‘zombie’, unfeeling mood, which prevented her from breaking down. It had been a while now that she had been that upset to lose herself in her feelings.
Of course, after a while, the Blue Haven Emperor finally stated some things that he had indeed been thinking, that Sahara was able to keep him away from asking out loud previously.
“Was the story that we were told by Sahara true?”
Sahara wanted to shrug her shoulders. She wanted to change the subject.
‘Sahara had indeed been true to her word. The world is in more peril now then it was before, and we no longer have any hope of it from being stopped. We will have to reshape the world and its people once again…’
That voice!
It had been so long since she had heard that voice of the spiritual essence!
“…You…”
Seeing the Blue Emperor have thoughts of not only knowing now the truth of Sahara’s story but that of hearing a voice…Another voice…That sounded slightly familiar to him as well, Sahara could only be silent.
If that voice was here, with her now, what would she say?
She had thought that a few times in the past, upon what she would ask…But now that it was happening, what would she say or ask?
‘Sahara, may we speak with you?’
“Sahara?” The Blue Haven Emperor asked to the sudden name.
Sahara knew that it was probably time to mature up and accept what is, “It was nice talking to you, Your Majesty, it seems I must go.”
“Wait! Wait…” The Blue Haven Emperor even put out his hand, making Sahara light again. It seems her sadness really had made her heavy…
“Before…Before you go, what…What happened to you?”
Sahara didn’t even wonder if she should tell him or not, she just blurted it out “I died.”
Silence was overwhelming to Sahara and just before she went to disconnect herself, his voice came to her again, “How? My dear, please tell me…Your husband has been searching for you all these years with your son…”
Sahara didn’t know what to say…
He was? Really?
Then, she felt sad that he had wasted so much time on her like this when she had been nowhere to be found…And probably didn’t even know who killed her. “I…”
‘Master, we must talk…’
It seemed that the spiritual essence no longer wanted her to talk to the Blue Haven King…
“At least tell him that you are sure that I am gone, that the spiritual essence told you or…You know what, it doesn’t matter. Thank you for talking to me.”
With that, she disconnected herself from him.
In a short amount of time the Blue Haven Emperor went from being worried once again about the future, to disbelief that he had finally talked to Sahara!
He had indeed put some minutes into the disappearance of Sahara since he had found out but now that he knew…It was…Sad…
She was gone, dead…It seemed that as much as he might have thought about it before, it was now solid.
He did question himself briefly upon wondering if he should believe it or not but…He felt like it was true…Perhaps it had been how Sahara had talked or how the other voice wanted her attention…Something had given him the impression that they had not lied to him.
Then…He remembered some of the last few things that they had talked about…While he had thought that she had been the ‘spiritual essence’…
It had been no wonder that she was happy about the ‘takeaway store’ as it was her that had told him about it in the first place but…
Oh dear…How am I to look her in the face!? She even…
…Embarrassment went through him as he remembers how Sahara had talked to him about his own consort!
