CHAPTER 189 **…Misdirection…**

Sahara took a deep breath and used the spiritual essence to tell Matthew that his ears are strange, and she doesn’t know how to heal them. If she were to tell you how she knew she could do this, she wouldn’t be able to understand it. It seems that Sahara was depending more and more on spiritual essence and so far, it was able to do whatever was asked! So, going into Matthew’s head and getting him to hear her without his hears was just another type of ‘godly’ power she had suddenly learnt that she had.

She knew straight away that he was hurt, as blood was coming from his ears, but not being able to heal them really did worry Sahara. Ears wasn’t something she healed very often and so she wasn’t sure what was wrong with them but…She was certain that spiritual essence was in the injury!

How interesting, Sahara thought. Normally, injuries were just an opened wound, or a bruise to show a wound on the inside but…This injury was made by direct spiritual essence, making the injury not normal! It wasn’t an impact, it wasn’t something blood could also get to, maybe to help fix it, it was like spiritual essence had become a weapon and even stayed there…Like it had claimed region to the ear…

Weird…

Never had she had to heal this type of wound before…

Was it the beast that had done this or a shaman?

Sahara wanted to know straight away but knew she didn’t have the time.

She had quickly looked at the offensive army, to know that they had decided to come closer, and so she stood up and took Matthew’s hand.

Communicating through her essence to his, Sahara walked towards Green Haven, instead of teleporting.

What is there to rush for? They haven’t a plan. Besides, right now, they were ok if they just hid behind the golden shield.

Not only that, but everyone was also probably exhausted…

Picking up Steven and Christian on the way through, everyone from Green Haven retreated behind the golden shield.

The sixty or so men that had survived the Divine Beast attack all had their hearing lost and for once, Sahara found herself at a loss. Not only because she really didn’t have time to fix this problem, but she had to find a way to heal it somehow.

At least Matthew was able to tell her what he wanted to say but she still had to express his words to any other.

As much as they thought they were a lot better off, with a slight warning before the attack and a golden shield…They had lost so much already.

The battle wasn’t even over yet.

…That was when Sahara saw the big man’s body…

“Repeat…Your words…” Nate stammered.

“The…The Divine Beast disappeared Sir and…And it is believed that all the shamans are dead…” Repeated a person that was a few metres away from Nate. He was Nate’s personal ‘sighter’, having cultivated his sight and also had an instrument that helped him look even further away.

To Sahara, who thought binoculars would be used, she would be interested in what was ‘glasses’, simply because the person wearing the ‘glasses’ had great sight! It was like a contradiction in her eyes, like…Like a paradox…

Yet, the ‘glasses’, otherwise known as ‘Mile Steppers’, was something that pretty much zoomed in, like you can do on a phone or tablet when on Earth.

There were a few of these ‘sighters’ around, reporting to their leaders and Hector, being one of the leaders, was just reported of someone that looked like his old foe!

…Without further ado, Hector was off, leaving the rest of the army behind! He hadn’t come here to take over Green Haven, nor was it to continue to treat Nate’s injury, no, it was to fight!

Nate frowned, not only to thinking of what was going on in the battle, but to seeing Hector venture forward on his own.

That old man!

Sighing and shaking his head, Nate took a deep breath and wondered what to do next.

“…Like a gold shield…”

“What?” Nate tried to focus upon what the sighter was saying.

Unauthorized content usage: if you discover this narrative on Amazon, report the violation.

“Just confirming that I cannot use my magic to see beyond what looks like a golden shield.” Said the sighter, who then continued, “…The gold shield isn’t around the whole Haven though…”

…Gold…

He was sure that the gold…

Nate stopped for a moment and was a bit stunned. It was known more as the ‘Golden Bridge’ but was it the same thing!?

Had someone become the Golden Emperor!?

Surely though, it can’t be the same…The sighter did say ‘shield’, so, it must be a shield…

And the gold shield not all the way around the Haven, yes, it’s not the same thing at all! It may even completely disappear…

Nate didn’t like assuming something but there was something that was, currently, a fact, and that was the gold shield did not go around the entirety of Green Haven…

Well, that has to be it then, the way into Green Haven. “Where are the flyers?”

Knowing that the flyers weren’t ‘flyers’ yet, more like gliders at the moment, Nate didn’t care.

“They had helped with the wind with the elemental bombs, Sir. Over there…”

Nate spotted them and narrowed his eyes.

They needed to kill the Emperor, that is their goal. If they just killed the Emperor, then everyone would just fall to their knees!

“Get some of them over here!” Nate stated, trying to wonder what the best thing was to do with what he had left. He had a few ideas, but he had never thought that the Divine Beast would leave their attack force so quickly!

And now that he knew that there was a golden shield up, there was probably a chance that his people that had already left to go into Green Haven may very well be dead…

The gold shield went up quite quickly, by the sounds of it.

If he were to try and get people to get through to Green Haven to assassinate the Emperor, then, at the same time, advance the army to keep Green Haven’s attention from looking elsewhere...

…Misdirection…

Then, should their real attack force go under the earth? Or should they go over?

Nate went into thought, adapting his ideas with what was happening and just thought that since the groups needed to be small anyway, he’d do both ways!

“Get half of the army to advance! You! Continue to attack with elemental balls! Then…Are you the flyers?”

Nate got the flyers and their small teams circling him and he spoke to them at the same time…

One team, the first, were of the flyers going to go with the elemental balls, Nate was hoping that the small group would be too small to be seen, but of course they will go over the gold shield, with the help and force from the team here on the ground.

The next team were to run around the side of Green Haven, keeping their distance, and disappearing to go into the earth and practically dig their way towards Green Haven where it doesn’t have a golden shield.

Both teams’ main objective is to kill the Emperor, but they were of different cultivation.

The team to go over the top of the golden shield had all but one flyer, the first team was also one man smaller than that of the other team.

The second team would not dig the entire way, no they would probably start disappearing into the earth upon anyone else being close by, the problem was, they would take longer to get to the Emperor.

The flyer in the second group was to be the second teams back up but the diggers, earth users, were to dig to be as close to the Emperor as possible.

Timing made it difficult, as they wouldn’t know where one team was from the other…Unless…

Nate told the team that was to go through the sky to wait to attack until the second team attacks. As long as they can hide and not be found, there should be a high chance upon accomplishing their mission. Then lastly, of course, they had to take a small amount of food with them, as well as water, as this trip may take a while…

A real problem would be that the team going through the air and hiding until the correct time would to be seen by Green Haven and stopped even before the second team attacked…

It would be more convenient if Nate could predict how long it would take for the second team to be in position too…There was not only that but what if, in the time that the second team digs to be close by the Emperor, that the war might have stopped…Or what if they couldn’t get the first team over the golden shield? You just never know what is going on in just two or so days and so…This was the chance that Nate took, that he was sending in the first team in now, and not later…

It was a small amount of people, and they could change clothes, to look less of a threat, and even help inside the shield while in wait, so it seemed more convenient to get them there now other than later…

Sadly, this attack may not even happen for a couple of days, since the digging team was going to go around the shield.

But that wasn’t it, that was just his assassins, his infiltrators…He still had an army and more ideas yet!

Then…There was one extra small army that were not flyers but a distraction attack force that will go right up front of the army.

Not only did they want to know what Green Haven has to offer in the way of defense, but this small lot of men were just going to keep Green Haven’s attention, along with the elemental balls and the slow advancing army.

With two lots of small groups making their way to the other side of Green Haven, to kill the Emperor, hopefully one of them will succeed!

What will Green Haven do in defending themselves now? Will they even attempt anything at all?

Will they feel utterly protected having that golden shield?

Nate tried not to bother about his older brother’s nonsense ideas and tried to pay attention to what was going on.

“There’s no doubt, we need to win!”

Shut up you fool! I need to think of the next strategy, the next plan!

Nate looked back, seeing the elemental balls continue to be formed, and then turned back, continuing to walk with the rest of the army.

The elemental balls won’t last forever, they will run out of spiritual essence at some point. He had left orders for the group, that was going to attempt to infiltrate through the air, to go with the third lot of raining elemental balls.

Now…Now that he had two groups on the way in, he had to come up with something else!

Right…

Purple Haven!

They still needed to convert Purple Haven anyway, even though it will take them a long time to get there but…

It was really happening! He was here near Green and Purple Haven, already with Red and Blue Haven’s acceptance! Nate clenched his hand, like he nearly had to whole world within it, and smiled. There may be distance between Purple Haven and Green Haven, but Nate was sure that just within a few months he’ll have them both!

…They need not be impatient!

Nate smiled again and ordered the army to start and go around to the south of Green Haven. They weren’t going to run, they were also going to stop to sleep and eat…But this act now was to make it easier for later because to the south of Green Haven was…Purple Haven! Why wait to move there when he can do that right now!?
