“Who’s that?”
Because Sahara had looked at Steven, so had the woman.
“Nothing, don’t bother about him!” Christian stated, looking directly at Steven.
The woman took in a silent breath and slightly nodded.
She could guess, she already knew earlier that this man had other children…
So, this was one of them?
“What’s your name?” The mother asked, looking directly at Steven as well.
Steven looked at the mother silently. She was a mother of three, a woman that was able to be alive for her children.
A feeling he had not felt in a long time, came to Steven, and that was the loss of a mother.
He cleared his throat, but was interrupted by Christian, “I told you not to bother!”
“And I told you to stop it!” The woman stated, giving the baby to him, then walking up to Steven with a smile. “What’s your name, young man?”
Sahara frowned, feeling quite a lot from everyone here. She didn’t think that opening herself up to all of them would start a headache, but everyone was feeling a lot of emotions at the moment! Surprisingly, even Christian, as silent and looking as unemotional as ever, was feeling emotional…
On top of that, there’s another thing that she knew wouldn’t be easily explainable to Matthew…Another thing that seemed to make her want to cry in relief…
Their past lives, it had to do with their child, their daughter…
Steven was shamelessly looking at the woman, who finally said in a light voice, “Steven.”
Christian, on the other hand, held his newest child with a sigh. He would only hold this child because a specific woman gave it to him! Actually, he knew that four of his children were with him at one time, probably for the first time ever in his life, but he did not show that he cared in the slightest.
He didn’t hate them, he didn’t dislike them either. The problem was, he couldn’t grow any type of feelings towards them…He didn’t know how…
He already has enough trouble with one woman!
Growing up, like he was nothing, fighting and just being ‘another child’ himself, has been stuck in his mind for a very long time!
The first time he laid eyes upon the only woman that had captured his heart, he had not been able to understand his feelings at all!
He had wanted her like a man that he was, but he just couldn’t do as he usually did with any other woman…As she’s always been different!
***
The lovely Lavender had, and still does, make Christian mad and impatient, she made him fight for something real, she made him want to give up things!
Meeting the lovely Lavender, when she was much younger, she had been the only one that hadn’t gone out of her way for him.
He hadn’t met her on good terms, having teased her about not having a nicer sewn picture on her handkerchief, and she had completely ignored him afterwards!
Back then, in his younger years, he had not ever been treated like that!
He might not have been the handsomest man in the world, but he had looked after himself in that regard and would easily be able to charm any type of woman…Except this one…
Just because of this one woman, he started to question his looks and his behavior and seriously wondered what was wrong with it!
Small things had gotten him entangled with her and he just couldn’t leave her alone!
Never, never did he have to coax a woman over so much in his life!
He had to become more like a gentleman, instead of what she had first called him, a ‘man whore’!
Yes, he remembers well that name!
Just because she had seen him attempt to gain the favor of another woman in her presence, she had stated this in a mocking voice, and it had angered him very much!
So…Flowers needed to be bought, which he’d never done before! Items were bought, in which normally worked, but with the lovely Lavender, it didn’t! Courting her for teas and pastries was tedious in his eyes but…That one smile that he had gotten…It hadn’t felt as tedious after that…

All the things he usually does, it seemed none of it worked and he had to gain ideas just to court her, just…Well at first, it was to achieve a goal! There was no woman that would say ‘no’ to him and besides…He had to make her take back what she had said about him!
He had been to all but two Havens, taking one woman into his bed and providing them with a Golden Heir, just like his fathers and grandfathers before him, but this one woman had made him stop and look. She made him fight and not give up!
Wooing her over, came to be such an adventure that he hadn’t understood at first why he hadn’t done what he usually did and gave her a Golden Heir, when they had finally made it into bed.
For three years after meeting the lovely Lavender, his normal life stopped, and he had gotten onto the most emotional ride of his life!
He didn’t like it when she didn’t talk to him! He didn’t like it when she made their alone time together, something that they couldn’t do anymore.
Whatever he had to do, it was her world and her rules! He wasn’t used to it in the slightest, always doing what he wants and being the boss of himself but…He wanted her again and again, willing to put this part of himself aside, just to spend more time with her again!
And so, he had fallen in love!
For three years, they were loving each other in secret, and he didn’t know what to do!
He had never the inclination to stay with her back then. Meaning, all this time he did have all incentive to leave, he just hadn’t done it at that point!
The problem was, when she was twenty, his beloved Lavender had then been bestowed a marriage to the Emperor of Green Haven.
His emotions fell into a mess but since he said that he wasn’t staying here for her, he hated that his beloved accepted this marriage! When she had done it, she had stated it so bluntly to her parents, yet looking directly at him through the window, with really sad eyes…
He knew, probably not straight away, but he knew afterwards, that if he had stated that he was staying, then she wouldn’t have married the Emperor. It may have been a decree, but it didn’t state a specific person, she had just been the best candidate and her parents didn’t think that their daughter already had a lover…
Who does this Green Haven Emperor think he is though, to take his woman away!?
Yet, even though jealous thoughts went through him, he also could not picture keeping the woman by his side.
So, upon the wedding going forward, all he could do is watch from a distance, as the woman left his side.
It wasn’t like he didn’t see her crying. He saw it.
Seeing her cry, after they had ‘gone their separate ways’, had made him feel broken inside.
How could he love her? Even if he knows of this now, how does he love her?
It was two days, just before she entered the palace, that both of them found out that she was pregnant, and he was bewildered.
He had not used that special Golden trait of getting her pregnant! He had even considered doing it in those days close to her marriage, just to make her entirely his yet…That would mean that he would always be connected to her.
It was the strangest predicament for him, to want to entangle her to him through having his child yet leave, because he doesn’t know how to stay.
But that was it! To him, she must have had another man on the side, yet…As much as he saw that it wasn’t the case, he had ‘evidence’ to prove it true!
As much as she had claimed she loved him as much as he loved her, he no longer felt it was right…How could she love him and get pregnant to someone else like that!
Without looking back, Christian left the only woman he had ever loved and went to Blue Haven, to which Steven was then conceived.
The women that Christian saw in Blue Haven, back then, were much different to his Lavender, making him have troubles beyond that.
It just wasn’t the same…
Since being with Lavender, there wasn’t even any fun to what he used to do with women. Normally it was picking from a flock that came to him but…Buying items, made him think of Lavender and how she didn’t like them. Being ‘charming’ made him remember of when she had called him a ‘man whore’ and so, picking one particular female became an abnormally hard thing to do!
He had a job to do, it was what they did as Golden Heirs…It was the past and the future, and this was the last woman he had to pick before he’d have a child in all Haven’s, just as he was told to do…
It was a habit, a job, a chore…Something that he knew that was normal within his family yet…Since meeting Lavender, Christian was wondering whether he should question this golden heir lifestyle for the first time?
…Steven’s mother was picked because she had a nice temperament and had similar features to that of Lavender.
With the same colored hair and deep eyes, he had chosen her to be the mother of his Blue Haven Golden Heir. Yet, it was not long before he set off.
He was angry because his woman left him for another, got pregnant with another’s child but…With Steven’s mother, April, being so similar to that of Lavender, he left her some Sum, which is more then he’d ever done to any other that would carry one of his Golden Heirs.
Just because of one woman, he had changed so drastically, and it scared him.
That wasn’t the only thing to worry Christian though, as like when he had turned sixteen, he was in a life and death situation…
He knew that someone was on his trail and that even if…If he went back to Green Haven, he felt like bringing this person following after him to his woman, he could see that she’d be a weakness to him and could even be harmed…
He had no choice but to stay away…And deal with this half-brother, Greg!
The fight at that time had lasted for a few weeks, because if one was severely damaged, they would go into hiding. The biggest problem to Christian was that of Greg’s ability to become invisible for a time. That was how many of the Golden Heirs had been killed and Christian has a stab wound to state that even he nearly got beaten that way.
To a strange degree, at this time, Christian had someone cheering him on and giving him things to recuperate, even though they had many questions upon why he was so hurt…This person was Hector, who had never won a fight with Christian till the present day.
In Hector’s eyes, he wanted Christian well so that they could spar, so he helped Christian become healthier…He was indeed a weird fellow but how could Christian not take advantage of the help?
On the other hand, Greg held some other type of help to bring him back to health, and then the fight would start all over again, the running and hiding until finally, Christian had used Greg’s best ability against him!
Only being able to become invisible for a minute or two, it was all that Christian needed, to strike Greg where he needed to and to give him a taste of his own medicine!
Greg had indeed been stunned before his death, looking at Christian like he couldn’t believe that he was losing…
After Greg died, Christian went back to training his normal meditations, instead of that of cultivating the meditation that let him become invisible. He had specifically cultivated it just for this very reason!
It was about time that he had gotten revenge for all of his fallen brother’s and perhaps even his father’s and uncles. This Golden Heir, that was now covered in dirt in the middle of nowhere, had done enough…
