It was not time to think of the Empress, as more pressing matters needed to be addressed. He was an Emperor after all, and he knew how hard it was to keep people from going against each other…
It wouldn’t be easy to make everyone work together, especially when some were commoners beforehand, and some weren’t.
The Green Haven Emperor was sure that those at Purple Haven, who probably got their cultivation bases blocked, were those of nobles or from families who weren’t as bad off as the commoners. For a woman…
Looking at his daughter in law, the emperor wondered, finally, about what level cultivation base she was, “You are able to not only block cultivation bases but have them do as they are told?”
Sahara nodded, “They know where my line is, Emperor Father.”
Line?
The emperor thought about this for a moment and was sure that meant how far they could misbehave…What else could it possibly mean?
Honestly! Why can’t she talk like everyone else!?
“And…What level cultivation base are you, my dear?” The emperor finally asked. He could simply find out by touching her and using his own spiritual essence to find out, but that is considered as rude…And he still was quite grateful to her for saving his life, so he didn’t want to act disrespectful...
“Nine.” Sahara said back.
The emperor raised his eyebrows and let out a laugh, “Uh! No wonder they do as they are told!”
Sahara had been a rank seven cultivator when she had entered into Purple Haven four months ago, but, since she had taken two of her home made white, pure pills, she had advanced even further.
At rank six, she had been able to teleport two people from Purple Haven, to Green Haven, and that had made her faint. Now, she could teleport two people both ways and not faint into exhaustion afterwards. Even though her spiritual essence would not be exhausted, it would be not high enough to do anything else with it though, so if she were to do that, then she would most likely want to meditate straight after. It wasn’t like she was going to teleport both ways straight away, so she felt like she didn’t have to worry about running out of spiritual essence at the moment…What made her more curious…Was how many people or things she’d be able to teleport now. If it was just a one-way ticket, from Green Haven to Purple Haven, could she teleport twenty things? Or less? She desperately wanted to get approval for this livestock, to see how many she could teleport!
Forgetting completely about the food shortage being the reason to get more livestock, Sahara was more enthusiastic on finding how many she could teleport instead!
Matthew held her hand tighter and felt his pride return once again. Sahara seemed to be in a level of her own, a level that he was absolutely thrilled and worried about all at once…As it was, he had only cultivated to the reach rank eight, as he had gone into a small, secluded meditation during the six months without her. As being a True Golden Heir and able to cultivate quicker than the normal person and a Golden Heir, Matthew knew the white pills that Sahara made were really quite spectacular! He just had not personally experienced it...Yet!
“Your Majesty, the Empress Dowager has come.” Eunuch Chun said, and only a moment later, we heard her introduction from another eunuch at the opening of the place that they were in.
“My son, I heard some news…Matthew! Matthew has come!” An old woman came in, with the help of two maids on either side of her.
Matthew stood and pulled Sahara up with him. “Imperial Grandmother. Let me introduce my Princess to you. This is Sahara, the Rolland Estate’s Thirteenth Young Miss.”
“It was true? I had heard last week, that you will be a father…It was true!” The old woman stated, walking closer to Sahara and seeing the plain evidence to state truth of the rumour that she had heard.
“Ah! My dear, you have made this old lady very happy! It has been too long since Isabella and I am glad I will finally be able to see my grandson’s child before I am gone!”
Sahara smiled and let the old lady hold her hand. She was very gentle, and Sahara couldn’t help but wonder how she had lived with the Empress for so long, as they seemed to be completely opposite type of people. At least at the moment…
It wasn’t too long before Sahara had left Green Haven, that the Empress had tried to ruin her. Not only had they tried to defame her but tried to initiate more than one lie and even come up with false evidence of those lies being true. The other in the party, Miss Haves, Sahara heard that she had ended up in the dungeon and hadn’t left it since. Miss Have's father had paid a severe price for his daughter’s crime of drugging the Second Prince and impersonating a maid...Not to mention going against a royal degree…But…It had come extremely close to Miss Haves getting exactly what she had wanted for so many years…
So, the difference…This old lady seemed sweet, but very old. Sahara wasn’t even sure if she would last the last three months of her pregnancy…

Really wondering if she should heal this old lady as best as she could, Sahara didn’t know that Matthew and the Emperor continued to talk about Purple Haven, with the three Ministers.
Using this time, while the old lady wanted to dote on her and talk with her openly, Sahara tried to check her body at the same time.
Strangely, she remembered another older lady, whom had been relatively nice to her as well. The Rolland Estate’s old madam…Which was really her own grandmother…
Even though her grandmother had asked that the cousins of hers go with her to her man’s estate, she had still been a nice lady and Sahara sighed in remembrance.
“My dear girl, I will forgive you for not paying your respects. But you must not forget this old one when my great grandchild is born!”
Apparently, Sahara had missed giving her respects to both the Empress and Empress Dowager, for becoming a Princess, but Sahara didn’t care for it anymore. It’s not like she hated the old lady sitting right next to her, but her life wasn’t in Green Haven anymore. “I will return every once and a while, Imperial Grandmother, but…I no longer live in Green Haven.”
Sahara was firm, even though she had been rude. She had her own goals, and one of those, was to do whatever she wanted and to get away with it!
Yes, she had also been rude to the Empress and even been strange enough to have been rude to the emperor himself. But…Her head was still on her shoulders, and she will stick to her guns!
If she didn’t have the time to see them, she won’t. It might be seen as nasty, but Sahara had befallen enough heartache from Green Haven and had even vowed to never to return…She felt like her coming back every now and again, would be acceptable and that she was even going out of her way when she didn’t have to.
She felt like she had enough right to never return, yet, she has! So, in her opinion, they should be happy!
What are they going to do if I don’t come for a month? Chase me down!? Pfft!
“…This old one really does not think that is a good idea, Princess. Perhaps you need to understand how to be royalty and that you must take care of not just your face, but ours as well.”
Her older voice was still calm, but she seemed to grow a little sterner.
Honestly, she's talking to the wrong person...I don’t particularly care about ‘face’...'Face' doesn't make who you are old grandma! If I cared about face...I'd be a wreck! I was drunk in front of the Second Prince at the age of thirteen! I don't think I've ever bowed to him! Tell me what kind of 'face' is that!?
Sahara looked back at her unflinchingly, “Imperial Grandmother, while living in Green Haven, I have been poisoned by the person I called mother. I have been defamed and schemed against by the Empress herself and a well-known young miss. I have three of my most precious people in my life murdered and the killer has not yet paid for their crimes…Give me a really good reason to stick around and I might. But since Matthew is going wherever I’m going now, I really believe that I will no longer live here in Green Haven!”
The Empress Dowager blinked at Sahara and sighed, “You seemed determined, my dear. But it would be selfish of you to take our dear Second Prince away from the rest of his wives!”
Sahara took a double take and then turned to Matthew, completely missing the smug look on the Empress Dowager.
No, the Empress Dowager wasn't black hearted, but did not like how this little child thought that she could have whatever she wanted! She will stay here!
If they knew each other's minds...They would both think that the other was delusional!
Ignoring anymore words from the old woman, Sahara walked straight over to Matthew and then glared at him to get his attention.
Once Matthew stopped and tried to not be rude to the emperor, by wanting to stop talking, he turned to his beloved Princess.
Straight away, Sahara put her hands on her hips and said, “What’s this about your ‘other’ wives!?”
Matthew looked stunned and then…Looked away…
Sahara felt her hands drain of energy and fall to her side. She had forgotten and hadn’t even asked…
They hadn’t been together for six months, in that time…
Even though he had told her that he had wanted to be with her from now on, she couldn’t help but feel a bit…
She didn’t even know what she felt, should she be happy, because he had attempted to move on, when she had on purposely tried to stay away from him? Should she be upset?
With hormones out of whack already, she stood there stupidly unable to know what she is supposed to be feeling…
Matthew walked straight to her, taking her into his arms, “It was the Right Minister, he demanded I take your cousins into my harem for him to be quiet about your…Death.”
Sahara swallowed and looked up to Matthew, “…Cousins?”
Breathing out in frustration, Matthew wanted to defend himself, “I was in your room, not thinking of the wedding. It had still taken place and when I returned to my estate, they were already there.”
Wanting her not to stress, he tried to kiss her worry away, by putting his lips to her forehead.
“…Oh.” Was all Sahara could say. Why hadn’t he told her earlier then? It seemed…Even if she didn’t like it and had never wanted her partner to have another…It was already done!
She suddenly remembered a few books that she had read in her previous life, of man who had more than one wife and the troubles the main characters had…Now she was one of them!
Sighing, Matthew took her face in his hands and said, “I have not touched them and never will! Sahara, what are you thinking!? Remember your punishment!”
Sahara looked away and then back again, she opened her mouth to speak, then closed it again. But what was she thinking?
He hadn’t touched them, does that mean he doesn’t like them? Or does that mean he never gave them a chance? And…Right…He never wants to leave my side. Ha…Does it matter that he has two other wives that he won’t touch and will never be around?
Sahara suddenly wanted to laugh, because she had never thought that she’d be in a predicament where she wasn’t the only wife…And she wanted to laugh because even though she wasn’t the only wife, the other wives didn’t seem to have a chance!
Putting a hand through her hair, Sahara sighed, “They aren’t coming!”
Matthew smiled, “Agreed.”
Already, they had agreed that his so-called other wives were to stay here in Green Haven…
Sahara didn’t even care if she was stealing someone else’s husband…To a degree…And having him not return to his own estate! Right now, she was still situated in Purple Haven…That’s just how it was! They will just have to deal being without him!
“Look my son, Matthew has come!”
While Matthew and I had our little babble, the Third Prince had come and stood silently next to the emperor.
Matthew turned around and saw his ‘brother’, Prince Felix, “Felix, it is good to see you again.”
Prince Felix nodded to Matthew and continued to silently stand there, not approaching two steps to be closer to his elder ‘brother’.
Matthew smiled and pulled Sahara into him, as he walked towards Prince Felix. “This is my Princess, Princess Sahara. Sahara, this is the Third Prince, Prince Felix.”
Prince Felix nodded at the new acquaintance but never attempted to continue the conversation.
For a moment, Sahara remembered Zeus. Such a small boy yet it really looked like he had the whole world on his shoulders…
