After Sahara had told Steven that she was pregnant, he had told her that she wasn’t going to do anything outside anymore…
Sahara thought Steven was way to overprotective, considering that she didn’t do anything outside, because she killed them and then teleported them to her…But Steven insisted.
She let him win, because, when it came to the little man inside of her, she was still weak. She wanted his father, she wanted to be a family…
Putting a hand over her growing tummy, she felt sad…The best thing for this child, was probably to be taken to his father when he is born…
And so…Her baby always reminded her of not getting too close to anyone, because of what could potentially happen to them…
How would she feel if she selfishly kept this child beside her, only to find him dying later?
As far as Sahara was aware, because of all the previous experiences of bad luck around her, she was sure that the bad luck wouldn’t just suddenly stop one day, that it would follow her around, and so…Well that was why…
But Sahara was starting to think a lot better now, and she might have put way too much effort into thinking that she was ‘bad luck’. She hadn’t been able to help it earlier, as she was grieving, but now, she was starting to wonder more and more about the killer, and wanting to understand why they had killed three of the most precious people to her…
Steven, just like herself, still didn’t understand, but he didn’t question things either…
As it was, Sahara had really only just started talking again. This small difference was something that he was happy about…
Steven touched Sahara’s hand and looked at her, “I am glad you have laughed. That is three times now.”
She felt bad that he had been counting…
Sahara looked in the direction of the man that she left behind and took a deep breath, “Ah! I…I’ll be fine…”
“Sahara…” Steven said, sadly looking at her. “I don’t understand, but all I know is that you are sad. If…If he makes you happy…”
She interrupted him, “It’s fine…I’m fine…”
Walking away from Steven, she went inside her small little built room.
She slumped down on her bed and stared out into space.
From her last life experience, getting away is so much easier. She could lose herself into a computer game or two, or three…For hours, all she would have to think about is trying not to get overrun by the enemy or die because of a tower, try to get the best out of the game…And then, when she stopped playing, it would probably be time to eat and go to bed or work. But here, on this planet, it was harder to try and move forward…Many times, an ohmigod number of times, did she want to check on Matthew. It would be all so easy to do so, she knew it too!
It was like an addiction…It was like her favorite donut was just next door and she had to money to buy it…All she had to do was just walk there and buy it!
Ah…Donuts…
But Sahara hadn’t looked all this time…
…It was so hard…Not to look…But she knew that if she did, she’d probably be torn…
Matthew, he was too gorgeous to not be able to move on. He was sweet and lovable.
Sahara sighed, she knew it hadn’t really been that long since her so-called death, but if she was to look now…
Clenching her fists, Sahara took a deep breath, and then walked out again.
…It was time to make a big feast!
As it was, the people were all one at the moment. All up, over all of Purple Haven, there was only about five thousand people left, and she got them all to come to the capital. Sadly, there wasn’t all that many elderly or children, compared to normal adults. She could guess what happened to them, the weak ones…
Out of the five thousand, not even half of them were of elderly and children, and sometimes Sahara got really angry about it, even though there was nothing that she could do…
Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.
She remembered heaps of movies and even in real life, people always put them first, but here, they had been weak and died first…But, it was different now, she made sure everyone was safe and everyone ate!
They all ate together and were giving the same amount of food, built together and had fun together. It was like a huge camp out!
Yeah, she noticed…She was starting to pull a few more jokes…
Well…she was trying…
Mmm…It was probably wrong to run away…But she was facing her problems slowly and that was all that mattered…
Accepting the loss of those three had really taken its toll, it really was the first time in both of her lives that she had grieved so much!
Perhaps she had never really known what it was really like or perhaps three at once was just too much! Now, finally, Sahara was starting to show signs of returning back to normal and she knew that she was finally starting to adapt to life without those three people in it…

Actually, since Sahara didn’t have computers, she started playing with something else about two months ago. And that was nothing other than her own spiritual essence.
Sahara still didn’t know what meditation it was called, to be able to change it into something else, but she was trying to come up with things from her old life…
She made a few small things first, like that of figurines, small action figure type of toys.
She made a little metal ‘Thrall’ and a little metal ‘Kirito’…Well, she tried.
They weren’t very good at first, hollow inside and didn’t look very much like Thrall or Kirito…But, as time went on, they had gotten a tiny bit better.
Finally, they became full metal and looked as good as she could get them, with the memory that she had. Of course, if she went back to earth, they would probably be an epic failure, but here, on a planet that doesn’t know anything about those characters…Sahara got compliments from people…
Fancy that!
So, she then tried to turn her spiritual essence into other things like a watch, but it didn’t seem to work, and she guessed it was because she didn’t understand how watches worked…Well, if it wasn’t that…What else could it be?
Then Sahara started to assume, that if she didn’t know how something worked, she couldn’t make it…Which was sad…Well, it’d be so totally awesome if she could make a computer!
But she wasn’t one that usually pulled them apart and made computer games…Sahara played the games and pressed a button to turn the computer on…That’s as far as she went!
Bugger!
Since making anything seemed to be about things that Sahara understood, she was better at making solid things, like that of figurines or tables and chairs. So, instead of making a pointless mountain with her brown, earth colored spiritual essence, Sahara started to make furniture with it instead!
It was a win - win situation, because people even wanted to buy them, and she was told that her ‘products’ were very good and sturdy. But many of them didn’t really have money, well she meant silver or sum. As it was, currency wasn’t a topic much at the moment. They all ate the same thing, and the Spirit Convert Association wasn’t finished being built yet…
…She questioned many times, why Purple Haven had quite a few really damaged buildings, when the people here didn’t exceed that of being third rank cultivators. Did they use their cultivation to make such havoc, or something else? But, in the wreckage, they had found a few of the ore’s used for currency, but Sahara couldn’t have people using them yet.
Greed is something that can sprout easily, so Sahara kept the found ores in her ‘storage’, telling everyone that they will try and continue without sum for a little longer. She really did want equal everything to be given out, so that greed didn’t start when these people still needed to start over again…
Having come from Earth, Sahara knew how touchy greed could be and had to watch these people very carefully. They weren’t all that well behaved, but she had to admit, it helped having Naruto…Naruto seemed to scare the shit out of them when he gets upset…Well, then there was herself, who has the power to block their cultivation, so they seemed to see a line and didn’t cross it very often at all…But that didn’t mean that they never played up, oh, they played up quite often!
A few didn’t like the idea of not using Sum still, having been the ones with a decent amount of sum on them. Sahara could tell that they wanted to gain as much of this situation as possible, but she said back to them, that at the moment, Sum means nothing here in Purple Haven…They wanted to fight her and wanted to get some others amongst themselves against her, but she had grown quite a number of people who respected her too much and they worked things out between themselves…
In fact, Sahara never asked for a few people to always be by her side, well, as close as they could get to being by her side. They tried to do things for her without being told and she openly told them that they weren’t her slaves. But they were very happy just to help her because she and Steven were helping them, and that seemed to be what their loyalty was based on. They obviously knew that she was pregnant, and Sahara was still trying to do the best that she could for the people. And since she was getting extra tired lately, they didn’t show any disrespect, if anything, Sahara was respected more because she often worked until she’d nearly fall asleep, literally!
Sahara had a minimum of five bodyguards, when Steven wasn’t around, but they had hardly ever been used…It was cute, so she let them be for now. They will probably get their Prince back at some stage…Until then, she had to find a way to keep their greediness to a minimum and have the people stay happy and together.
Which gave her an idea!
It was the first time that Sahara was implementing something huge from Earth, 21st century…And to her, it wasn’t a big deal…But to everyone else here on this planet…
Since she was playing with her spiritual essence, and she wanted people to continue to work together for now, Sahara decided to do something else in a kind of payment to them for being well behaved, so, a few weeks ago, Sahara started a new project…She got Steven to dig…Actually, she won’t lie, she started to dig, but Steven took over.
So, Sahara made him dig in a big land area, that wasn’t too far from the capital, neither was it getting in the way of farming.
The hole in the ground was a rectangle and started quite shallow and slowly got deeper. After that was done, Sahara had to fix the dirt walls and make sure that it wouldn’t want to cave in or out. Then, Sahara used her spiritual essence to make the wall of the inside, to what she remembered a lot of ‘pools’ on Earth had. For a good week, Sahara was making this pool, giving it a safe enclosure and even getting Steven’s help to fill it up with water…
