Chapter 2308

"Ahem!"

Sue cleared her throat, dragging Igor back to reality.

He quickly apologized. "Sorry, I can be a little tactless... Please don't take offense."

"It's alright!" Frank shrugged. "Just show me the results of your research."

"Alright, this way please!"

Igor led Frank into the mansion and instructed some of the scientists to help with the demonstration.

They were perfectly calm as they worked, even chatting while they did.

"Who's the dude? Ms. Fisher has never brought anyone here before... except him!"

"You don't know, huh? He's Lugh Frankton, a big shot in Shagan! I'm sure you've heard of Pax Jaric, but that guy somehow snapped or something and gave Lugh everything he had!"

"Pax Jaric? But he's just a town-level bigwig. He doesn't hold a candle to Ms. Fisher!"

"Nah, that's not the whole story. Check out his ring... Word has it that it's a classified item!"

"There are no human trials just yet. We're only testing our serum on macaques, but the success rate is ninety-nine percent! Primates' DNA are ninety percent similar to humans, so a little deviation might not be adverse to success. I'm sure we'd cause a major upheaval when this goes public!"

And while everyone was working, Igor gave Frank a rundown on their successes.

Igor was absolutely proud, as nothing was more ambitious than self-regeneration. Not only would illnesses be cured instantly, but he was also going to gain fame and win a Nobel Prize!

"Good, but I'm sure there's a reason you're not doing human trials too?" Frank asked, noticing a problem quickly.

Igor smiled. "I'm not going to lie... While we did succeed, data suggests the possibility of cancerous growth. That's why we're refraining from human trials so far."

Frank glanced at his ring, finally catching on to why the spiritron vein wanted him here.

It wanted him to be a lab rat!noveldrama

Sally York was right-seeking immortality would just get him killed.

"Chief, it's done!" a staff member announced just then.

"Then let's get started!"

"Roger!"

One of the researchers then used a robotic arm to hack off a macaque's left arm and quickly bandaged the stump, stopping the bleeding.

Then, once the macaque's vitals were stable, they injected the macaque with a blue serum, and the macaque flailed around for half a minute before falling unconscious.

The researchers quickly seized the moment to unwrap the bandages, and the skin on the stump had already healed!

"Is that it?" Sue frowned. "I thought you said the limb would regrow!"

Sue knew there was development on the research but did not pay close attention to the details.

Igor smiled patiently. "You're kidding! You can't just regenerate as quickly as Wolverine-it takes days to grow back the lost limb."

Sue rolled her eyes. "Then why bother with the demonstration? Just show Mr. Frankton a video!"

Igor scratched his head awkwardly

"But look, Ms. Fisher-the skin is

already regenerating rapidly, and the bones and muscles would soon follow!"

Sue remained fuming. "Don't bother. Just show Mr. Frankton a video and prove that I wasn't lying."

She really wanted to take the chance and show off to Frank, only for Igor's incompetence to bring it all to ruin. Who knew what Frank thought of her now?
