Harold said, "Alright, let's get moving. We've got a ton to deal with, and we can't expect Adler and Jenna to handle everything themselves." Sophie shook her head. "Let them take the reins for a bit longer while they're still up for it. I've got a hunch Adler's about to throw in the towel."
"Throw in the towel?" Harold frowned.
Colby chuckled from the sidelines.
Adler had been close to losing it these days. His temperament wasn't exactly CEO material, but since there was no heir for the Tredgold family, he was the one who had to step up, inheriting Wesley's shares and leading the Tredgold family. Honestly, it would be a miracle if Adler took to managing the Tredgold family chaos willingly.
Eventually, it would all fall back to them anyway.
"Let's have a get-together tonight," Harold suggested. "I've booked a private room at the Four Seasons. It'll be a nice chance for everyone to catch up before we all go our separate ways."noveldrama
They had all come together initially because of The Silent Shadows, and with that chapter closed, it was time to return to their own lives and ventures.
Sophie nodded. "Have you reached out to everyone?"
"Yep, everyone's been knee-deep in The Silent Shadows stuff, but they've managed to free up some time for tonight. Whoever can make it will be there."
Harold glanced at Colby, "I sent an invite to James too, but who knows if he'll turn up."
Colby shrugged, "He won't."
Sophie raised an eyebrow. "How can you be so sure?"
"He hasn't got the nerve."
Seeing Sophie's bewilderment, Harold laughed, "Maybe he just wants to be part of the action. Mr. Colby, your ex is doing quite well these days; you might want to keep an eye out."
"My wife loves me; he doesn't stand a chance." Colby said, holding Sophie's hand with a confident smile.
By evening, Sophie and Colby were the first to arrive at the private room, while Harold stepped out to make some calls.
Not long after, Adler and Jenna showed up, looking worn out from work.
"Honestly, don't make us do this again. We're still on the mend, remember?" Adler said, gesturing to his injured shoulder.
Jenna chimed in, "Exactly, I'm not much better off."
"Adler maybe, but Jenna, you've bounced back like a champ. William said he's never seen someone recover so quickly-built like an ox, he said."
Harold walked in with a teasing grin, and Jenna quickly tugged his ear "Big talk for someone in charge of the Aldridge family! Don't think I
won't put you in your placeme
"Ow, Jenna! That hurts!" Harold yelped, begging for mercy.
"Looks like everyone's early. We thought we'd be first," Elodie and Griffin said as they walked in. They were running a new business in Devonport, making travel a breeze.

Griffin looked around, "No sign of Odie?"
They hadn't seen Odie in days.
Colby replied, "Should be here soon."
Jenna remarked, "Who knows what Odie's been up to, burning the candle at both ends. Up before dawn and gone all day. Maybe he's seeing someone?"
"Seeing someone? I doubt it."
