Chapter 2290

And with those words, Nadia put on her helmet and ignored anyone who tried to reason with her.

With everyone ready, the siren that signaled the start of the race soon blared, and all the bikes shot forward.

"Nadia took the lead!" Alda exclaimed, at once surprised and thrilled.

Indeed, Nadia pulled away despite the bumpy track, holding her Kawasaki steady between her legs like it was flat ground.

On the other hand, Donnie was being the contrarian. "Better bikes wouldn't survive such a harsh track. She'd be falling behind soon."

"Then why don't we make a bet, Mr. Ingram?" Sayna sneered. "If my sister wins, you will annul your daughter's engagement with Mr. Frankton."

"Dream on!"

Donnie's instinct was to refuse even if he was dead sure Nadia would not win, his style was to go all out and make sure there was no chance of losing to Sayna.

"What a coward!" Sayna rolled her eyes.

Alda suddenly said, "I'll take that bet!"

Even if Donnie could endure Sayna's diss, Alda could not, despite being groomed by Donnie herself to be a shrewd girlboss. She could be bold at times and agreed to bet since she was sure that Nadia would not win.

Sayna turned back to Donnie, asking, "What do you say about that, Mr. Ingram?"

Despite her thrill, she knew very well that Alda lacked actual authority-Donnie's opinion on this matter was still necessary.

"Then it's a bet!"

Donnie was not quite keen to gamble, but his daughter had spoken. If he rescinded it, he would have no right to stay with Alda!

But this was fine-no matter thenoveldrama

outcome, Frank would not take itz seriously anyway. Even a fool could see that Frank actually liked Afda and would not go that far to tease her

"Good!" Sayna exclaimed, as if she had already won. "In that case, Mr. Ingram, Ms. Ingram... Let's watch how this unfolds!"

Even if others were not aware, she certainly knew her sister-a dirt track of this level was no exertion and basically a guaranteed win for Nadia.

At the same time, everyone turned to see that Nadia had left the other riders far behind, even waving her hand at the stands.

"She's certainly bold," Callie Wright praised, clearly admiring Nadia. "I'd be laser focused, or I'd be screwed."

However, her words proved to be a jinx as Nadia's bike bumped over a boulder just as she finished.

The bike began to shake and lose balance, but the experienced Nadia promptly decelerated and allowed the speed wobble to continue, avoiding a mishap by a fraction.

UMS

"Woah!!!"

Cheers resounded in the stands although it had been dead silent earlier, followed by whistles and thunderous applause.

since motor rallies were a niche sport, and they knew how deadly speed wobble can be. Add the general cragginess of the road on top of that, and one could see the sheer skill Nadia displayed.

"She's a casual rider, but she's won many races," Sayna bragged, puffing her chest proudly. "Don't underestimate her now."

"Really? But I don't think so!" Alda dissed, clearly losing patience despite being there just to have fun.

Sayna ignored her, folding her arms before her chest as Nadia was now less than two miles from finishing. However, more obstacles lay ahead.
