Chapter 2057

Mosley woke Nash and Tilly up. After informing them of Alfius' decision, the group then headed downstairs together before heading to a nearby commercial street for breakfast. "What should we eat?" Alfius asked as they wandered around.

"How about stew?" Mosley suggested while pointing to a small shop with a wooden signboard that stood out amidst the bustling street.

"Yeah, let's go there."

The group entered the shop, where a cheerful man greeted them.

"Welcome!"

"Hello, can we order now?" Alfius asked politely.

"Of course! Go ahead!" the man responded and then handed them the menu with a hearty smile.

"We'll have the house special, please."

The group chatted with the owner while they ate, and the more they talked, the happier the owner seemed.

"Mister, are you the only person running this shop?" Mosley asked suddenly.

"Yes, that's right," the owner replied, nodding.

"Really? Why not hire some help? Your food is so good. You must get a lot of customers during peak hours. It must be hard to manage alone," Mosley said.

"Haha, you sure know how to flatter a guy, young man." The old man laughed heartily. "In reality, not that many people come to this shop."

"Really? But the food is so good," Mosley said, puzzled.

"Haha, thank you, young man. Here, have another helping of meat," the old man said.

"Oh! Thank you!"noveldrama

"Haha, you three have some too. Here you go," the old man said, offering more meat to the others as well.

"Thank you," the three replied in unison.

The old man then sat contentedly in a massage chair.

"Old man?"

"Oh, it's nothing. You guys can keep eating," the old man said, looking toward the hundred-story building in the distance. "Don't mind me. My back isn't good. After working for a while, I need to sit and rest.

Alfius asked, puzzled, "But if that's the case, why not close the shop? Where are your family members?"

"They're doing well now. I don't want to bother them too much."

"What? Bother them? But you..." Alfius put down his cutlery and looked at the old man.

"It doesn't matter if people come or not. As long as I can make a bowl of stew, that's enough for me."

"Huh? I don't quite understand. Are you waiting for someone?" Alfius asked.

"Yes, he comes every day at noon. If I close the shop, he won't be able to find me."

"Is he someone important?"

"Yes, he's a very important person."

The morning air was still a bit cool, and the sunlight warmed the old man's face as he took a deep breath. Not wanting to disturb the old man's rest, the group left the money on the table and quietly left the shop.

Outside, the sun's warmth surrounded them, and they began to feel drowsy.

"So, what now, Lord Alfius?" Mosley asked.

"Let's head back and see if Mr.

Dracar

leave saying t

woken up. We shouldn't

goodbye

Alfius replied.

"Alright, we'll follow your lead."

The four returned to the building where they encountered Ply in the lobby.

"Good morning, Miss Scota," Alfius greeted.
