The youth asked, "Why are you closing?"
The valet turned to see that the youth was fashionable, sporting trendy brands, a beanie, and a pair of headphones.
"Sorry, sir. It's late now-you should come again tomorrow."
The valet had actually encountered plenty of others who came during closing hours, and as he spoke, he offered the youth a discount voucher. "You'll have a 20% discount with this."
The youth did not take it, however, even pushing it away. "Do I look like I'm short on money? I only came because I heard that Golden Lily closes late, but you're closing already. Don't you think that the management should answer for this?"
The valet was left a little annoyed, but working in the service industry meant that he must not step on anyone's toes.
Instead, he smiled. "I'm sorry, sir-we are in the wrong here, but everyone has left and can't be of service. Please come again tomorrow. Maybe come early too, and we'll offer you our best service."
The youth could certainly understand that despite the valet's cordial attitude and politeness, he was absolutely not giving in either.
"We'll see."
With those words, the youth turned to leave.
Swish!
He suddenly dashed through the gap between the shutters and the floor, which was less than a half a feet wide and still shrinking.
The valet was stunned-the youth was unassuming but turned out to be a martial elite!
Shock aside, he paid it no mind.
That same night, Kiki was on lobby duty. However, she could not fall asleep even as she lay on the chaise lounge at the lobby, no matter how much she tried.
This was her first time taking this shift, as it was usually voluntary and the staff were not paid that well for that before. As such, Kiki had never applied for it before.
But things were different now-with Frank's arrival, salary increment aside, even the pay for various overtime shifts was now doubled to the hourly rate of their standard salary.
And was there anyone who hated money?
Since Kiki had nothing else to do that night, she decided to stay.
However, being a lady in a dark, large lobby was still scary work...
Rattle!
Suddenly, a strange sound echoed upstairs as if someone was playing with marbles, and Kiki panickedly hid beneath her blanket.noveldrama
She was actually aware that the
net
sound was the creaking of the rebars between the walls. Each piece was expanding and contracting because of the sheer difference in temperature between day and night, though knowledge and not being afraid were different things...
On top of that, more creepy things happened... such as the rustle of footsteps she heard just behind herself.

"Are you crazy?!" Kiki snapped as she sprang from beneath her blanket, presuming that it was a colleague pulling a prank on her.
That was when she was left
dumbstruck as she found herself not staring at a colleague, but a piece of white cloth instead. Beneath the moon's glow, it appeared to be the humanoid silhouette, and Kiki even saw it smile!
"Argh!!!" Kiki screamed.
Frank heard her and hurried out of his room, reaching her soon enough. "What happened?"
Kiki stammered. "T-There's a ghost!"
Frank frowned. "Where?"
Kiki looked again to find that there was nothing around her at all!
"T-This isn't right!" she cried. "It was white, and it was right there—I'm not lying, swear to god!"
"I believe you. Don't worry-it's gone now," Frank assured her while heading off to check the cameras.
Interestingly, they were all destroyed!
That would mean that Kiki was telling the truth, though she was not being haunted-someone was doing this on purpose!
