Sally was freaking out. "Are you crazy?! This has nothing to do with you. Why would you try to help me? Even if you care for me, do you think I'd care for you? Just go already!"

Even so, Whitney smiled. "You're my daughter, no matter how terrible you've become. It's a parent's fault if their child runs astray, and this is just what I deserve."

While Sally was left drawing a blank, Frank put his hands together and chuckled. "Nice family drama. I like it."

Then, turning toward Sadie, he asked, "And what are you going to say now?"

Sadie, however, said nothing—she would protect her brother as vehemently as Whitney protected Sally, but rationality told her not to.

Frank chuckled. "Alright, since no one has anything to say, I will say it—your research is quite valuable, and you might even help me leave Shagan eventually, so I won't kill you for now."

A dazzling gleam shrouded Sally and Rain right then, as Frank warned, "If either of you turn against me again, I can kill you anytime!" Sally frowned. "You're really not going to kill me?"noveldrama

Frank smiled and shook his head. "I'm not kind enough to forgive you for Whitney's sake. I'm just staying your execution for the time being because you're still of use... I might go through with it once you outlive your purpose.

"As for you!"

Frank then turned toward Rain. "You have done no crime this far, or your sister would've been more careful with you. As such, it's not like I can't forgive you for the sake of my apprentice."

Sadie and Whitney were left gaping-they knew Frank best, and that it meant death if they got on the wrong side of him.

And yet, he was so magnanimous that he would forgive the two worst culprits here?

"What can I even say about you?" Sally smiled bitterly. "Since you're not ruthless enough, then I guess I should do your dirty work to repay you for your mercy."

Seeing that Sally was swearing fealty, Sadie went over to Rain and gave him a kick.

However, Rain hung his head in

silence-he was stubborn unlike Sally, or he would not have been

able to hide his intentions until now. And seeing that their last resort failed, he was still caught in his dejection that he could not recover.

Frank shrugged. "It's alright. Just let it rest-we're going now."

Beneath the hill, Jada Turin and the nuns have been waiting with Peerless Jackt and several members of the Cerulean Summit Legion.

They had all been praying that Frank would win, overcoming the final obstacle that was Sally and reaching a level of being genuinely peerless, leading them to new heights!

"They're here!"

Jada was the first to notice Frank and the others and frowned when she saw Sally. "Why didn't you kill her, master?"

Jada nodded. "I guess that's true-Sally is extraordinary despite her sickening deeds. Having help from her means a brighter future!" The nuns all breathed a sigh of relief too and gave their thanks.

The abbess frowned. "You're not going to ask us to stay?"
