Chapter 204 – False Flag 1
In the bar that he usually visits, he was drinking whiskey. He sat near the bar counter, filling his stomach along with the others. The bar has many visitors moments after the sun sets. The visitors are from different nations who came to the Capital of the Empire of Valor to work.
Like Joshua, they are people who have it hard. Most of them have gloomy faces. They drink while staring at their glasses and bottles. Joshua held his glass with his right hand, his other hand held a rolled paper flour that has meat in it. He ate the meat. Each of his bite making a fleshy sound, the food was eatable.
Joshua took a long breath. He stared at the box attached to the wall. On the screen was a young woman singing with a microphone on. She was swaying her hips sexually and moving her body fluidly. She was a like a dancing snake. The men and women of the bar were attracted to her singing.
“And baby his smile almost melted me~ Oh the lone man always crying about!”
The voice of the woman was soothing. Joshua lifted his head to watch and listen. He spent some time drinking and eating before feeling woozy. Stand away from his chair, he ambled out of the bar and stepped into the rain. The intersecting roofs covered the area so Joshua was not drenched.
The alley was dim lit. There were men and women chatting around. Some were doing their own business, while some were smoking. Joshua sauntered in the middle with his hands inside his pocket. His head was rather aching so leaned on a wall while caressing his head. His sharp gaze turned to a direction. He smelled some something odd. He followed the scent into this alley when he spotted a familiar figure being grabbed by the arm.
“Let go of me!”
“Come with me now!”
Joshua stepped in forward. “What the fuck are you doing?”
‘Joshua!” shouted the person. “This man’s trying to grab me!”
“Let him go.”
“This is not your problem. Beat it or I’ll make you, migrant.”
Joshua’s heart filled with rage. His eyes went cold. And a line of words appeared above his head. This made him deadly focus.
“Say that to my fucking face and I’ll break you!” he said in a hoarse voice.
The man that was grabbing the person clicked his tongue. He reached for his gun and pointed it to Joshua. “I don’t have fucking time for this!”
His finger squeezed the trigger. The bullet flew towards Joshua’s head. Joshua didn’t fear the bullet. He merely dodged sideways and then used the wall to bounce at the person. The person shoots continuously at Joshua to no avail.
Joshua avoided the shots that were coming towards him. He easily neared the man and pulled his fist back. Twisting his body, he launched a punch on the man’s ribs!
The word ‘Fight’ appeared before Joshua. Gritting his teeth, he pummeled the man and punched him until Joshua felt his ribs crack!
The person pulled Joshua and told. “Shit man, his beaten. Let it go. Don’t murder him!”

Joshua pulled himself. He was about to take a long deep breathe when suddenly the world slowed down for him. His body moved on its own as he jumps from wall to wall. He ascended up and jumped into another building.
Then suddenly, an explosion happened below. The whole area shattered and crumbled. The place instantly turned into a lake of flames.
“What’s going on?” Joshua asked. But the words of danger didn’t stop. He focused on surviving and evaded the explosions that were happening around the place. He vaulted through buildings and bashes his shoulders on a door just to get away from danger.
As he leaps down a two-story building. He rolled to break his fall and observed the hell that was happening around the area. What was happening? Joshua didn’t know. All he knows was that the residential area turned into a lake of flames.
“Damn it!” shouted Joshua. He turned to the direction where his apartment was. The bar, the house, and even the store he was working burned to hell.
“Who did this?” a voice said.
Joshua turned and saw a patrol stopping by to look.
“I don’t know! Damn it!” Joshua pounded his fists on the ground. The patrol looked at Joshua’s anguished expression.
“Are you from their?”
“I am! Damn it! All of its fucking gone!”
The patrol didn’t say anything. He just watched him rant about as people gathered. Soon, the whole place was crowded with people. Everyone looked at the lake of flames that suddenly appeared. They didn’t know what happened. Even the rain wasn’t able to extinguish the fiery lake of flames that appeared.
“That place was filled with migrant, right?”
“Yeah, I guess they are all dead now.”
Joshua bit his lip. He grabbed his hair and stood up. He had this tired look on his face as he tries to figure out what he was going to do. It was then that someone appeared out of nowhere. A person who seemed to have a tan complexion started shouting.
“I bet the fucking Empire did this! You fuck hated us! Now you are trying to burn us!”
“Settle down!” a patrolman neared. “Why would we burn the city?”
“Why now?” sneered the man. “You burn our nations! You burn them all to the ground! Why wouldn’t you all burn it again! You Valorians are fucking monsters!”
“I said settle down!” the patrolman angrily pointed his rifle at the man. “Come with me!”
“Fuck you! Fucking Imperialist Scum! I know that we cannot trust you! You lured all of us here to die in this place damn it!”
The tanned man charged the patrolman. The patrolman panicked and pulled the trigger of his rifle. The tanned man was shot to death, his stomach filled with holes. He fell down and sprawled on the ground. A pool of blood slowly gathered underneath him.
Joshua stood up and watched what happened with a complex gaze. He observed the surrounding’s and heard whispers. He could tell that these whisperers were foreign. If anything, Joshua understood what was going. He knew that whatever happened today. It was not the work of the Empire.
