Chapter 191 – 1
The snowy weather was cold. There were animals hiding under the snow. But these animals were not hiding due to cold. They are hiding out of fear from the loud gunshots that they have heard.
Zola Dawn twisted her body impossibly with finesse. She was able to escape the sniper rifles and rushed at each and one of them with quick haste. They have great sniper rifles in their possession but they were not as fast as a vehicle.
Zola took them all down in succession. She didn’t kill them all. She took some of the snipers and tried to investigate what they were doing. But the captives told her, “I die for my Empire, LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE.” as they but their tongues.
They died under the snowy weather. They created a pool of blood area that Zola Dawn too them. Their eyes rolled back. The snow gently landed on their opened eyes. “How loyal,” Zola muttered. She could sympathize with the feelings. She thought that she would do the same if she was captured by an enemy.
Despite fighting aliens, she has battled humans too. The world where she came from was still chaotic. The only thing that didn’t change was that humans still have the seven sins. It was a trait that will never disappear from humanity. She stumbled on many plots and schemes from the politicians of her world. She could remember that the only reason she was on that medical ship was because of political differences. Factions and ideas never changed despite the change that humanity achieved.
Humanity was stubborn. So only a common enemy could allow them to work together. They achieved a pseudo peace because of the Quietus that threatened the existence of humanity. The enemy was not evil. It was not acting because of difference or race. It was not because of species too.
It was because of a foregone conclusion of joining the two together in order to create a synthesis of the two, to join the machines and flesh to unite flesh and machine.
But they needed to convert the whole human race into slabs of meat. Doing would, the person would die, and the human would lose the soul that it possesses. A human without a soul is nothing but a husk. Treat the electrons around the body as the soul. Removing the soul would mean that what all that would be was an empty shell devoid of anything that makes a human a human.
Zola looked at the corpse that she left behind. She pointed her palm at the corpse and decomposed the corpse. There was not a single trace left. She turned all the snipers into nothing. She didn’t leave anything behind. Zola Dawn didn’t want the enemy to find their snipers dead.
She didn’t get anything from them. She preferred not leaving behind anything. The enemy knew of her presence already. She didn’t want any more clues for them. Whoever her enemies are, she knows that they are competent.
...
The snow lessened when afternoon arrived. Zola sat near at the campfire she made. She put her chin against her fists. She wondered how many enemies have she killed during her stay in the forest of the demesne. The borders were mostly covered with forest. There were many patrols airships that are roaming the demesne borders.

How tiresome, she thought. Zola patted Titus and reflected on things that happened. She recalled the amount of equipment and the amount of information she got from the scouts and the spies. They are experts no doubt. They are very good at what they do but there was something that Zola could not understand.
Why does the Empire send them at the borders? How were they able to cross the Gigantes Sea that stretches miles? She has many questions to ask. But how can her questions get answered when the enemy would bite their tongues? She has tried breaking their limbs but they would smash their heads on any sharp or hard object.
She was impressed by their loyalty. It was bad because she didn’t want to sympathize towards the invading enemy. “I wonder what’s stopping them from trying to try negotiating?” she muttered. Snow fell on her eyelashes and wiped her eyelids.
Titus played around the snow. Titus rubbed his fur against the snow while putting his tongue out. She was playing around the fire, it made Zola smile. Her only companion under the lonely snowy borders was Titus. She has no news from the demesne. All she knew that Alexander, Eiya, and Joshua were on a mission to reinstate a mist barrier that would distract the enemy.
All she does now was to distract the enemy and stop them from getting inside. She could just leave. She knows that any of the Trojan horses wouldn’t do anything to the demesne. What she wanted from them was information. She wanted to know where their ship was. It was clear that they did not arrive one by one. It was obvious that they came along in a fleet or a possibly a ship that allowed them to cross the Gigantes Sea despite the dangers.
She knew that she killed a lot. She knew that there was enough threat from them that made the enemy come after her. She was a threat. The enemy knew this and so they sent their snipers at her. The enemy she faced was dangerous. They were well trained and all of them were capable of turning the tides. If she was a normal human, she knew that she would die.
They were all veterans and the way they handle themselves made Zola think that anyone other than her would certainly die out any being able to notice. She got targeted from miles away. She was able to only sense them because of her own abilities. If she didn’t have the Omni-Forge and Psion-Based abilities, Zola was sure that she’d fall victim to the enemies that she was facing.
They were a strike team made of elites and veterans. The killing was easy for them. They would be able to surely kill important personnel and sabotage key locations and cause enough chaos to confuse the enemy. At first, she wondered if it was a great idea to tell them about the enemy. But in the end, she grabs her voice communicator and reported what she had seen and witness.
