Chapter 3: The first prey

Chapter 3: The first prey

When she woke up, the sun was already halfway through the sky. She truly had enjoyed this night of rest, no worries about the torture to come, the soft and pure breeze gazing against her snow-white skin, the morning chirps of the birds... Everything seemed so unnatural, as if the world itself was truly perfect. She couldn't care less about the hard branch she was on, as she was used to sleeping on stone floors.

As she climbed down the branches, her nails digged into the wood like butter. They were truly sharp, she didn't doubt she could probably stab them into something or someone and inflict a pretty~ nasty wound.  Her hair was also strangely durable, as no matter how many times it would get stuck while climbing down, instead of it breaking it were the branches themselves who were broken.

She knew it was her time to shine, it was time to finally put her skills to use. Those cursed skills she gained through being thrown into dungeons full of bears, wolves, poisonous spiders, tigers and all other kind of predators. She also wanted to test out her 'Starvation March', as it would increase her strenght immensily if she guessed corrently on how it worked. She tought it would probably use the meat she ate to directly improve her own, replacing and upgrading it. Same goes for her tendons, organs, teeth, nails and all of her body. Then there was 'Body Transformer', if the being she met was truly god, it should have been able to sense her desire. She wanted to be able to add limbs to herself and modifying them when needed. However, she would probably have to eat something similar to the limbs she wanted first.

With a very good mood in tow, she finally reached the ground and began her march toward the unknown. She would probably have to settle down on an area after a while, but she wanted to find a good spot where she could train herself in without having to worry about other problems.

She walked for about 2 hours when her ears finally picked a faint sound. She slowly approached it, and was suprised to find a tiger snoring quietly (not quietly enough apparently). Only problem being that the tiger was the size of a car and probably a whole lot faster then that. It's fur was black and it had two tails.

She considered the risks and possible gains, considering all of her possible stratagems. Then she slowly came to a realization. She didn't need to worry about anything, if it bit off a leg or an arm, it would simply regrow in a couple of seconds, if it bit off her head, she just needed a minute or so for it to reappear. If she was swallowed, she'd just tear it apart from the inside like she did multiple times.

Grinning in a crazed manner, she slowly circled the creature, careful to remain downwind and make as little noise as possible. When she was as close as she could get to it, she jumped at it straight at the head.

The sudden noise woke the tiger up, who suddently felt two very sharp nails in it's eyes. It immediatly flew into a rage, what had attacked it! It was the king of this forest!

Roaring, the tiger immediatly tried to bite what had stabbed it, succeding in doing so. it felt a human arm in it's mouth. Biting strongly, it ripped through it. However, instead of screams, it felt a bite on it's own face, succeded by first one hand clawing into it's face, and then another one. It was suprised, didn't it just bite off the arm of the creature who had blinded it?

Struggling, with an arm still in it's mouth, it swung it's claws at the creature, however, by now the creature had shifted fast enough for it to miss. If it still had it's sight, it might have hit. However, it was disoriented and confused. Hearing a noise behind it, it swiftly turned around and bit at that area, only to feel a strong pain on it's behind, quickly running up his back and settling into his neck, where the creature held it into a chokehold. It was suprised and a bit of fear was creeping up. Not only was this creature very fast, it was intelligent enough to trick it so easily.

She had attacked the creature quickly and carved it's eyes out at the price of her arm, who regrew very quickly. She then threw a stone behind the creature, confusing it and making it turn. She then clawed her way quickly toward it's neck, where she stabbed over and over, while making shure to hold on strongly to resist the shaking.

Finally, after 5 more minutes of struggle, the creature finally died. It was truly strong, she had stabbed her nails all the way to her wrist into the eyes of the creature. This would have alone been more then enough to kill a bear. However, the tiger was only badly injured. She was salivating at the sight of this magnificent price.

She began to devour the creature, savoring it's blood and tender meat. After 3 hours of not even bothering to chew, there was not a single bone left. She had munched on the bigger bones, happy to find that her 'Starvation March' allowed for her to eat all of this safely. She felt strange, she felt full but at the same time still starving. Could this be the drawback of her skill?

Settling into a fetal position after climbing a tree, she swiftly slipped off to dreamland, unaware of the changed going through her body. Breaking it and regenerating stronger then ever.
