Wildrose had moved to Argent Dawn Horde, and I was having a blast on Tylah. So, mid-Cataclysm, I decided to take my priestess over. This involved a complete makeover and name change.
Here she was, a gentle older Blood Elf or Sin’dorei Priestess—wise and friendly.
Within days, I would meet the guild that would change my life in Warcraft forever: Sunrain Bloodlines.
I kept seeing the name above elves’ heads and was soon approached by one of them named Sathrian. Glamorous, as only a blood elf can be, he explained about Sunrain Bloodlines and how his brother Torendal was the leader of the family. There were loads of Sunrains in the family, like a never-ending buffet of pretentiousness.
There’s this add-on in WoW called TRP, where you can make your character more alive, almost like a D&D character sheet in-game. When I first met Torendal, I thought he was a bit of a dick—but hey, ho, that’s Blood Elves for you. On the flip side, other members like Kirselo, Tally, Sathrian, and the grumpy Tahlrar were fab.

So I joined and became the wise old teacher, priestess, and mentor of their family. Kirselo, Sathrian, and Talethia are still friends to this day and mean the world to me. My Sunrain days had officially begun.
We had a bench just by the gates of Silvermoon, right under the balcony where the legendary Elite Tauren Chieftain stood, waving to fans. You know, the band that’s like a mix of epicness and satire, performing their hit “I Am Murloc” while Tauren fans sway and cheer, completely missing the existential dread lurking in their songs.
Speaking of hits, I had a crush on Sig Nicious, the guitar player. I mean, who wouldn’t? With his flowing mane and that guitar slung over his shoulder like it was an extension of his very soul. I’d watch him strum and swoon, imagining myself dancing in a grand ball under the shimmering lights of Silvermoon while he serenaded me with epic guitar riffs.
And let’s be real—being the wise old priestess didn’t stop me from daydreaming about jamming with Sig. Just picture it: Aleskia and Sig Nicious, the ultimate duo, healing and rocking out, saving Azeroth one chord at a time.
