Stronger

When they arrived at the worm mountains, the wolf left to avoid attracting the attention of other silver-level worms. He knew that this was the territory of another powerful creature, at least as strong and numerous as they were.

William thanked him and moved on. His target was the bronze-level worm next to the metal heart. In a few blinks, he arrived in front of the cave. He was still surprised that his own speed had risen to such levels.

He drew his sword and entered the cave. Inside, the worm, resembling a rolling rock, stood guard beside the body of its ancestors. When William came to the entrance of the clearing, he glared at him with absent eyes.

William was now down on one knee, attacking like a wolf. Now that his qi power was sufficient, he could comfortably use both of his sword's buffs.

He sent some qi power to the tattoo. A frightening aura of the wolf moon began to form in his body. The worm felt that he needed to be more careful now. He could tell that this person was strong.

William, like the wolves, felt faster, stronger, and more perceptive when he used his bloodline power. Maybe he didn't shine with a silver light like them, but his tattoo made him feel cooler.

There was only one thought in his head. He would defeat the worm in front of him in a single move. The worm he was supposed to kill was of a lower level, but he could gift Baldur with its blood. For him, when he combined it, maybe he could achieve purity of twenty percent. For Baldur, that might have been enough.

He was still following the worm with his eyes. At this moment, the worm had moved a little. It looked like it was going to be thrown. William was also waiting for him to be expelled. A few seconds later, the moment came!

The worm coiled up like a snake and thrust itself towards William with all its might.

Using 'Like a Volcano', William dashed with all his might to the right side of the worm, according to himself. He activated his sword's two power-ups and execution sword technique.

The worm's mouth had missed William by a few inches. William, on the other hand, had placed his sword at the edge of the worm's wide, nasty-looking mouth like a pipe, cutting through his entire body like a piece of cloth!

And something he hadn't anticipated had happened. Normally, he couldn't attack a target far from his sword or body while at the iron level, but when he used his bloodline power, he felt something strange as his sword got longer. He should have researched this later.

In a blink, William came to the place where the worm had just been. He took off the sheath and inserted his sword.

“Kacha!” He thought it was cool again. Looking back, he saw that the worm had opened up ready to be grilled, but was still struggling, even though it was almost in two pieces, due to the intensity of his life force.

William had cut him through in one blow and killed him!

After a while, the worm's struggling stopped. William immediately ran and poured his blood into the barrels. This time, instead of taking very little and concentrated blood, he combined them all separately. By the end, he had more than a few liters of blood on his hands.

He gladly tossed the creature's corpse and blood into his dimensional bag. The worm he needed to find now was the iron level. No matter what, he would not deliver the bronze rank creature to his quest area. Moreover, his share would have been lower.

He chose to leave this cave. Because he was afraid that he would encounter more frightening creatures in the future. He had the confidence to fight even the creatures at the top of the bronze level, but couldn't afford to go higher.

His next hunt had been very simple. Last time, he went to the cave where he was hunting with Baldur. There, in the same clearing, he found two iron-grade worms and three cubs. So this place was like a house and the new ones had moved in because the old owners had died.

Both worms were at the top of their iron level, but they did not cause any problems for William. They died quickly. William didn't kill the little worms. Although they got angry and chased William, William chose to just run away so they could live. With his speed, he was halfway through before they left the mountain. He needed to get back to the academy immediately.

William swept through the trees like an arrow. While using his movement technique and bloodline power, he realized that his speed was almost the same as the silver wolf! It was an excellent feeling. When he reached the Bronze level, maybe the weak silver level creature or humans even though he could defeat it!

Still, he needed to change his movement technique to something more complex and extensive. 'Like a Volcano' now ran counter to his needs. He felt that right now he should be like a silent and deadly assassin.

He needed to either change his sword technique or combine it with stronger ones to strengthen it.

He loved the execution sword. He knew he was still very strong, he could handle it for a long time, but William's goals were too big! He already had his eye on silver levels! For this, he would also develop the execution sword.

Before leaving the forest, he decided to cut his long hair, just in case. To do this, he used a small puddle as a mirror for himself and cut it with the dagger Baldur had given him. He couldn't use the Firebringer for this, because it could burn his hair and it was too dull to be used as a mirror. Because his hair was long, it was easier to cut and style. He didn't think anyone would notice, because his new hair was barely an inch or two longer than his old one. He placed the headband in his dimensional bag and turned towards the academy.

He arrived at the academy a short time later and handed over his post. In fact, everything happened faster than he thought. In as little as two days, he had taken care of all this bloodline work, and on top of that, he had completed a six-day quest. He felt that he didn't even need the amount anymore. Because his speed was already at the perfect level.

He thought of the ruby horse for a moment, but he had promised to look after the academy mounts. Moreover, the feeding costs of his own horse should not be too high, after all, it was considered a normal animal.

He sold the worm's body in the treasure hall. Even the teacher was surprised when he took it out as a perfect work of art.

No matter how many questions William asked how he did it, he remained silent. He just said that he was lucky, that he was almost dead. That you cut him through to make sure he died too.

The price of a complete corpse, of course, was different. His teeth, his skin, his flesh were all on him. Because it was in the dimensional bag, you could notice its intact, still warm flesh.

Normally, such a bronze rank full corpse had around two hundred and fifty soul stone equivalents. But since they knew that William had brought such a bronze rank creature before, they gave him a price of three hundred soul stones. Three hundred soul stones had increased his total wealth to nine hundred and fifty low-level spirit stones and three mid-level spirit stones. Mid-level soul stones were worth a hundred low soul stones, but since they were difficult to find, they were usually traded at around one hundred and fifty. Even the soul stone had an exchange!

After exiting the Treasury building, he came to the Hundred Treasure building. He hoped to find what he wanted here. He hadn't even bought potions from the academy before.

Again, the same female attendant greeted him. He realized that her face looked familiar. William must have made a good impression on her.

“Do you have a pet contract?”

"Yeah! Of course, what is the level of the creature you want to contract?”

William thought for a moment. The little wolf was only at medium iron level, but he said 'take as many contracts as high as you can get'. So “Bronze Intermediate? Maybe?" said.

“Medium bronze? I guess you don't know how contracts work?" said the woman.

Again, William was faced with something he did not know. His face was a little sullen.

"Yeah. I do not know." He was extremely honest. It was not a shame for him not to know, it was a shame not to learn.

“Then let me put it this way, in the simplest terms, there is more than one type of contract. There are pet contracts, equal friendship contracts, loyalty contracts, and so on. But they are all unique in their level. For example, you can use a bronze level contract to a creature at the top of the bronze level, or to a creature at the beginning. Could I explain?" The woman lowered her head and smiled.

William grasped everything quickly as he explained it very simply. That's why he was delighted, he didn't need to get specific contracts for each level. He changed his question and asked again.

“Do you have a pet contract for the bronze level?” He smiled.

“Yes, this way.” She said, and she led him to the shelves in the far right corner.

William was able to see the contracts clearly. It was written in the language of sorcerers and could use qi power to activate it.

He cursed to himself as he looked at the price tag for the bronze level.

"Why is it so expensive?" he asked.

What was written on the label was five hundred Spirit Stones.

“Unfortunately, not every wizard can do that. It would take a true second-level mage to do this. Moreover, it consumes a lot of power and needs a long recovery period. That's why the prices are like that." Said.

William had no other choice. He would have to. Together they came to the teacher's table, and William made the payment.

The teacher's eyes lit up for a moment, but then calmed down. He asked William with a dark face.

“You are still iron level, what are you going to do with this contract?”

Wiliam got angry when he saw that everyone was greedy for what he was doing. He was greedy himself, but he would never look at things 'owned' by someone else that way. Only if it was 'owned' would this greed manifest itself.

He quickly made up an excuse, though.

“I found a wounded bronze wolf, I've been feeding it for a week. He started to be close to me. I want to try my chance." Said. His face was extremely calm.

“ Hmmm.. ” The teacher nodded. He had obviously lost interest. “Be careful, you may be attacked by other creatures when you are vulnerable.” Said.

William was suspicious of his word, but he didn't care. He was confident that he could destroy anyone he sent unless he came himself.

"Thank you!" He bowed and left from there.

He quickly took up a task before embarking on the return journey. There was no simple bad pig quest. Moreover, the worm missions were also removed. He was surprised but didn't mind. The simplest-looking, yellow-striped python took up the task.

He quickly left the academy. After running ten kilometers, he took a good look around to make sure no one was following him. He also put on his headband, just in case.

He was suspicious of that teacher.

He couldn't see anyone. After another fifty kilometers deep, he pulled out the horn and blew.

The sound of the horn was like the howling of an old wolf. A few seconds later, he heard a distant sound and started running in that direction.

Twenty kilometers later, it was the silver-ranked fur that greeted him again. Obviously he hadn't left yet.

William respectfully mounted it, and together they set out for the 'valley of the wolves'.

In fact, if he wanted to expend qi, he could run alongside the wolf. He was using his wolf bloodline power while sitting on it right now. Even so, he wouldn't have lagged behind him had he gotten off and started running. Provided, of course, that he uses his own bloodline power.

William had so many questions to ask himself about the changes in his body, but he had to wait. First of all, the wolf had to save his future. There was no limit to the contract people could make with a pet, but there was still something like a rule. That is, the number of pets you can contract depends on the 'true spirit'. The stronger the true spirit, the more animals you could contract.

This true spirit could be increased or decreased by the potions that William drank to use the system. Unfortunately, the spirit herb used to make these potions were either too rare to find or too expensive.

William had no idea how valuable he was from living on a closed island. Not even Baldur!

He just knew he was 'Precious'! To realize his true worth, he would have to see the outside world.

After a while, they came again to the valley of the wolves. The silver rank wolf without hesitation went to the cave where the little wolf was in a cocoon.
