“Then take these,” he said, pulling out two sets of golden armor and weapons from his dimensional bag. He then put them in his old dimensional bag and handed them to Sora.
Sora had seen armors and weapons while quoting. He looked at them with admiration. They were certainly examples of excellent craftsmanship. He knew they could be more expensive than he could have imagined.
“Sir, what are they for?”
“Give these to my dad and grandpa as a gift from me. Tell them I'll have no problem killing other princes, but Leslie doesn't deserve to die for now."
“As you wish, sir!” said Sora, and then added. “By the way, tomorrow the academy will announce its new rules, you should prepare as much as you can for the next competition in a month. Don't worry about war."
"Do you think I'm worried at all?" William circulated qi throughout his body. It showed him his strength which was close to bronze level.
Sora's eyes widened. It was more surprising than the armor and weapons he gave. With a trembling voice,
“Sir, you…”
William cut him off. “Yes, I will be bronze before the competition. Then I will kill the other princes!” said.
“Sir, prince Jaymond is bronze rank. But don't worry, I'll be waiting for you outside the academy that day." Said.
"It does not matter! If I said I would kill, I would." William said his last words with a frown. Sora felt as if the former baron was standing before him.
“As you wish, sir!” said and bowed.
"You can go."
"Yes, sir!" Sora left in a hurry. He would return faster than he came. The gifts he carried on him were more valuable than his life. He would go first to Baron Theo, and then to the farther old Baron Thedo.
William sat on his bed after he left. He brooded in silence for a few moments. Finally, he said, 'There is nothing to do. The future that had to come was the future that should have been. You knew this day would come.' He said to himself and took out the introductory book to the fire element from his bag.
He couldn't relax anymore, he needed to read these books as soon as possible, then draw blood from the wolves and be bronze level before the competition. He was constantly complaining that he had too much to do but not enough time. Again, he was stuck in such a situation.
…
Four days' drive from the academy, in front of the great walled city where William had had to flee before, thousands of warriors stood silently in teams of twenty. At the front, they awaited the command of the man who looked old but stood like a spear on his horse.
The banners were decorated in black on red cloth, with a roaring tiger on two crossed swords.
The old man stood patiently on his horse. After a while, two people appeared on the top of the walls.
The old man shouted out when he saw them. “Seymour! You don't have a man! You have no strength! You have no support! What else are you waiting for?"
The man on the wall had a dark look on his face. He hadn't slept well today, his under-eye bags had grown. On the wall, he looked back. He saw less than a thousand people and less than a hundred regular soldiers waiting to escape.
He was still cursing that damn mage. He wanted to cut every inch of his flesh off when he found him. Even he wants to eat!
At the moment, he had neither a man nor a civilian who could be called a city. He stared at the empty city behind him, his home for generations. In great disappointment, he shouted to the gatekeepers below.
"Open the door! Welcome your new king!”
His words came as a shock to the people behind him, the soldiers, and even his son next to him.
The old man was naturally Thedo. He was happy to see that he had made the right decision. After all, he didn't want to kill an old acquaintance. He knew that right now the city was almost empty and defenseless. He just wanted to give some face to old acquaintances.
He glanced at the heavy, slowly opening doors. He pointed at the city with an extremely sharp sword that emitted a metallic light.
"Walk!" All of the soldiers behind him, including himself, began to walk in the same order, at the same pace. The army could be said to be the only one in the world in terms of discipline. The count's father and son looked at the army with greed and envy, but there was nothing they could do. They had neither the money to feed such an army nor the charisma to gain their trust.
After a while, the two of them went downstairs after seeing Thedo approaching, and they decided to meet him at the door. On his way downstairs, he told his butler to urgently prepare a feast with everything he had.
They waited for Theo at the door. They smiled as if they might have made the right decision when they saw Thedo riding slowly through the door.

Thedo's majesty was just like a king! It was like the absolute incarnation of the concept of nobility and power. Despite his age, he was definitely like a tiger that could tear the youth to pieces.
Thedo came in front of the two with his regular army behind him. He lowered himself from his horse took off his helmet and tucked it under his arm.
The two immediately bowed. The new earl spoke, “The Seymour family pledges everlasting loyalty to the new king!” yelled. The people behind them and a few new soldiers bowed with him. They laid down their weapons. The two waited with their heads down until they heard Thedo's voice. Thedo ordered them to get up after a few seconds, as befits a king.
Then he mounted his horse again and began to ride towards the Count's castle inside the city.
The two immediately picked up a horse and followed through the kneeling citizens as if they were in a parade.
The crowd was not large, but it still reminded the glorious parades of those old days.
When they entered the castle, Thedo took the main seat in the great hall.
“You were pretty comfortable in his seat,” he said, stroking the armrests. Said.
Former Count Seymour spoke at once. "Not worthy of you, sir, but that's what we've got."
“You don't need to talk to me like that for now. I prefer a little more intimacy.” Said.
Thedo wasn't used to his old acquaintance talking to him like that.
“Seymour, come, sit down.” Said.
The two quickly sat on either side of him. Hurim was standing beside Thedo. He gestured to Hurim with his finger. Hurim quickly took the large animal skin box from his back and pulled out a large map. After spreading it on the table, Thedo stood up.
Likewise, the two got up with him.
Thedo began to speak, pointing at the map with his finger.
“I know you father and son are in tough times. That's why I'm not asking anything from you. We will use this place as our base of operations. All I ask is that you defend this place while I'm gone. I promise you, when the day comes, you will be rewarded for your hard work.” Said.
The old count asked immediately. “How many soldiers will remain?”
"Hundred! One hundred iron rank warriors, and twenty advanced apprentice mages. Five of them are specialists in healing.” Said.
“It's okay, it's okay. Even if the royal army personally comes, I can hold this place for three days. Don't be left eye behind."
“Good, that's what I want too! I would like your name to be called an earl again in the future.” He said and smiled. Then Hurim collected the map on the table. Thedo headed for the door to leave.
"Sir? Where are you going?"
Thedo answered without turning around. It's early, I'll go and flex my muscles." Said.
“Sir, I was preparing a feast!” shouted Count Seymour after him, worried about him leaving like that.
“No banquet until we get a victory!” said Thedo again without turning around.
"Sir, wouldn't this be considered a victory?" Count Seymour shouted from behind again.
Before finally walking out the door, Thedo turned and looked at Count Seymour.
"What do you think?"
He left, leaving only this word behind. The two watched him go in amazement.
Then the old and new earl sighed with disappointment.
'True, not even a victory.' They thought to themselves.
Then the old count looked at his son, a fire began to burn in his eyes.
“We will try our best! That way, maybe we'll have a place with the new king." He said and he left.
He had to arrange and place the soldiers to be placed under his command. The new earl was still in the learning process. He was not currently qualified for some jobs. This was the perfect opportunity for them both to shine.
…
William was still in his room, unaware of most things. For him, this knowledge was extremely new and stimulating. He didn't know before that the fire element could be used in different ways. Now, new ideas and techniques were constantly coming to life in his mind.
After a while, he got hungry again and made his way to the cafeteria. His other three friends weren't in the cafeteria, so he quickly swept the table. Then, when he left to return, he saw a banner hanging over the quest building at the academy.
A large crowd had gathered in front of it. He saw Merlon and the others but did not go near them.
The contents of the banner were simple and understandable.
All the words were written in order. It was written that a month later, a contest called 'Fresh Blood Contest' would be held, and the being principal's student would be the biggest prize.
A lot of rules were written under it. It wasn't talking about killing, so he was free.
The sequel was even more interesting. Now the quests have been compulsory! They set a quest requirement of one quest per month, and the quest had to be the same or higher than your own level. Under, would not be accepted!
Leaving without permission or off quest was prohibited until the day after the competition! It was written that people who left without permission would be searched and a reward would be put on their heads!
Those were really heavy words.
William could hear some gossip swirling through the crowd.
"Did you hear? The dark elves have surfaced! They attacked the elm kingdom! They even killed the king in his own palace from the first day. They have directly captured the capital!”
"Are you serious? You're not kidding, are you?
“Why would I joke? Do you think I'm joking about that?"
"You're right, what happened next?"
“What will happen next, all the lords and oasis lords are assembled and preparing for a counterattack! But the dark elves have already settled in the capital! It should be easier from now on!”
“I can make sense of what they did. They had been living underground for a long time, secretly accumulating power. They must have finally wanted to see the sun.” The two young people were chatting, not caring that others heard their voices.
William also thanked them in his heart. He could guess that his father would have prompted the dark elves to attack. They, too, had come out of a new throne war. Most likely, his father must have made some promises to the new king. It was getting messier and more chaotic and William started to feel weaker day by day.
He stopped reading books. All he had to do now was to increase his power as soon as possible.
The following information was just too complicated, stopped reading for now. So decided to take a look at it later.
He quickly went to the quest building and took the earthworm quest suitable for his level. He could easily find these creatures.
The term of office was given six days. They had given such a period of time to complete the quest in four days and begin the return journey. If he didn't hand over the mission within six days, a search warrant would be issued on his behalf.
Although this move of the academy seemed to help his father, he could not trust anyone. The priority was his own strength. He yearned to draw blood from the wolves.
He's made his decision now. Regardless, he would absorb the bloodline power of the moon-swallowing wolf. Since this wolf was the subject of legends and stories, there was a possibility that the silver moon wolf was descended from it. In this way, it was more profitable for him to carry the bloodline power of an older and more powerful creature.
He ran like crazy after leaving the academy. Didn't care about his earthworm mission. He needed to find the sneaky bastard in the forest as soon as possible!
