William was quite surprised when he and Sora entered the large tent. At the head of the table, his grandfather thedo was sitting, to his right his father Theo, and to his left Hurim.
He couldn't see George and Pierce in charge of the volcano troop. His place was filled with people he didn't know. He had only seen a few of them in a book he had read before. It was the forbidden book that introduced the nobles of this kingdom.
Merlon's father, Duke Esse, is another Duke, Ayden Lane, son of Count Seymour and himself, and Marquess Ernie Moore they would remember. He could not remember the names of any of the other nobles. Still, he could tell from most of his positions at the table that they were Counts or Marquis. For the two Dukes sat beside his father and Hurim. He continued as marquis and earls in turn. He did not see any baron. They were probably too weak to sit at this table.
After a quick glance at them all, William bowed slightly and gave a noble bow. Then Theo immediately stood up and introduced him to the people at the table.
“This is my son, William, at the peak of Iron level and only fourteen years old. Help him as much as you can. He's inexperienced in this sort of thing." Said. He smiled at William.
He then sat down. William remained motionless. He felt that he shouldn't have acted until something was said to him. Then Thedo called him over.
“Come, William. Come and tell us about the Princes.” He said smiling.
William did not show any expression on his face. He walked to Thedo's right, between him and his father. While no one here was weak, William was already a genius in their eyes. Being at the pinnacle of iron at the age of fourteen was no easy feat. Moreover, William had a certain charm and wolf-like gaze due to his bloodline. Even without any expression on his face, those at the table could tell from the aura around him that he was a natural hunter.
If William activated his qi power, a few iron-level earls and the Marquis here would piss gold out of fear. When he got between his father and grandfather, he turned his face to the crowd at the table and began to speak.
“We caught the four princes in the gorge at the exit of the academy and killed them together with Sora.” Said. The need to add a few extra words did not fit. There was no need to embellish their sentences. Open and clear.
He could see Sora opening hİS mouth to say something anxiously.
William acted quickly and spoke again. “Sora did a good job stopping Prince Chad. I took care of the other three too. So from now on, there is no need to worry about the Princes.” Said.
spoke extra because he knew Sora would tell him that he hadn't actually done much. He was already the young master of this family. He didn't need to take any extra credit. Moreover, that idiot prince had deliberately chosen death. Now that he thought about it, he still felt so ridiculous. Otherwise, it would be difficult for him to get out of a war on which that prince gave his full attention.
It might be really difficult right now, but that was only true for the Royal family. Because their light talent was versatile. He could heal or make a powerful attack when needed. They lacked a bit of defense, but they could make up for it with abilities that combined it with attack and allowed it to heal. Otherwise, he could easily stand up to someone at the top of any normal bronze level.
Everyone smiled when they saw William's humble behavior. Thedo was even more pleased. He then spoke to William. “Get yourself a chair and sit down.” Said.
William did not refuse. There were a few empty chairs in the corners of the tent. He took one of them and sat between his father and grandfather. Yet he still couldn't help feeling left out.
After William sat down, Thedo began to speak. "Then let's talk about how to get past that magic shield." Said.
Across the table was a man standing in the same position as Thedo. He had long blue hair and brown eyes. He had a straight nose and an angular face.
“I've been researching this since I got here. I found a few weak spots but they are really hard to pass. We have two challenging choices.” Said. He spoke, looking at everyone at the table, including William.
“What is it, Mr. Kaur ?” ' asked Thedo.
Meanwhile, Theo lowered his voice as much as possible and whispered in William's ear.
“This man is Arthur Kaur. Your sister's teacher and a true second-level mage.” Said.
William was surprised to hear this. It was the first time he had seen a high-level mage. He wondered how strong this man was, knowing that even Baldur was this strong. He wondered what Baldur was doing right now. He wanted to progress to become a second-rank mage, but at the same time he wanted to become a Bronze-rank warrior, so he was wondering how long it would take to progress behind closed doors.
Arthur Kaur continued to speak. “The first option is to dig a small hole for a few seconds with a few of my disciples and attack one of the spirit stone towers inside. This allows us to open up as much space as the doors. The second option is simpler. Continuing to attack until the soul stone stocks are depleted.” Said.
Later added. “But whoever gets through this hole has to be quick. He must reach the tower as soon as possible and destroy the array.” Said.
Everyone at the table nodded thoughtfully. Both were difficult tasks to do. The first could be tried, but the second would put a strain on the entire army. For several days, Thedo 's army tried to attack, but to no avail. This weakened the morale of the army a little. Moreover, as if the soul stone stocks would never end, the magic shield stood strong and solid.

Everyone at the table was deep in thought, including the second-level mage. William looked at everyone at the table one by one. No one had any ideas. Finally, he thought he had to make a move. Moreover, he was sure that he was fast and that he could do the job.
"I will do it!" said. He folded both hands on his chest and looked at the crowd, astonished by his words, with great solemnity.
Theo immediately tried to protect him. “No, you can't! Flame steps are not that fast! Besides, you just came out of the war!” said.
Thedo also objected. But compared to his son, he was frowning and a little angry. “This is a suicide mission and my only adult grandchild wants to join the mission?” said. It was clear that he saw William as a continuation of his bloodline.
William didn't think he should resist at first, but no one else at the table was too opposed to the idea, except for his family. It was a suicide mission after all.
Finally, someone couldn't stand it and speak. “I saw your flame steps. No better than our wind ability. Let the knight captain of my family do this task.” Said. It was Duke Lane who spoke.
could feel Duke Lane be in the middle of the bronze level. However, he still thought that she was not as fast as he was. He was confident that with his bloodline strength, he could easily accomplish this task. Moreover, his movement technique gave him a great advantage in sudden maneuvers.
Still did not understand Duke Lane's choice to send one of his own family on this mission. After all, it was a suicide mission and could fail.
Meanwhile, Thedo spoke. “ Is your knight captain strong enough to break the door of the soul stone tower? Moreover, it requires power to destroy the array inside.” Said. In this, Thedo trusted his family. Any of his men in the family were far superior to those here in power.
"He's a bit of a nuisance, our swordplay is fast and agile, but I don't know if it's strong enough." Said.
William, on the other hand, was thinking about something else. The spirit stone tower thing his grandfather just mentioned. He finally had a little enlightenment. Namely, it was a spirit stone tower! There must have been a tremendous amount of soul stones inside. He didn't want to miss this opportunity. He tried again.
“I say it again. I recommend myself for this task. I'm both fast and strong." Said. He no longer cared that his grandfather was angry. There was a target in his eyes, and that was the soul stones. He wanted them with bright eyes.
“Little brat, don't take off just because you killed two Princes. You've just been weaned." Said Duke Lane. His eyebrows were furrowed. He certainly could not accept that a brat would steal his merit from him. Moreover, he also wanted this task for the soul stones issue. It was a battle after all, and no one would care about the lost soul stones as long as they won the battle.
William bowed his head. Duke Lane's words had angered him. “Why do all the nobles think they are invincible?” ' he said, and suddenly took action. Everyone at the table felt only a slight breeze. As everyone looked at William, he had vanished in an instant. When everyone turned their heads towards Duke Lane, they realized how wrong they were.
behind Duke Lane. In his left hand, a dagger lay an inch beyond his throat. He could cut it at the slightest movement.
Thedo and Theo were the most surprised. They knew that William was using flame steps, but this was on a whole other level. Theo turned and looked at the chair that had just been ash from William's technique. It had burned suddenly, and all he could see were a few white flames. He realized then that this technique was another technique, but he only remembered one such technique in the academy, and it wasn't that fast either.
The father and son duo looked at each other. They shook their heads with a resigned expression. William had grown up long before he should have. Perhaps William had surpassed them already. Thedo was a little more worried because he felt that until now he hadn't been warm enough to him. He couldn't be blamed for this, after all, his plans had kept him from doing it.
Duke Lane's condition was deplorable. Beads of sweat dripped from his forehead. He was left not knowing what to do.
Arthur Kaur's eyes had been fixed on William from the start. His eyes lit up when he saw his movements. 'That's what I call speed.' He was thinking. He realized that he might be the perfect fit for the task. He was the first to speak.
“I think your grandson William is well suited for the task.” He said looking at Thedo.
Thedo didn't know what to do. He certainly didn't want to send William on this mission, but William's strength was evident. Moreover, he could see from the two sets of armor he had sent and the one on him that his equipment was strong enough to protect him. He finally came to a decision.
“Okay, William, drop off Duke Lane .” Said. He then waited for William to leave Duke Lane and get himself a new chair. After sitting in his new chair, began to speak.
“The decision was made that we couldn't compete with William on speed. William will complete this task. We'll send William in tonight as the moon sets.” Said.
There was a trace of disappointment on his face. He had no choice but to let it go, as he had the utmost respect for Arthur Kaur.
In the end, everything was settled and everyone at the table began to leave, bowing one by one. William also saw his father leave and stood up to leave with him. Just as he was about to walk out the door, he heard a voice in his ear.
“Can you come to my tent? I have something to say.” William looked around. He couldn't see anyone speaking. It was as if he was the only one who had heard this voice, but it was not the voice of anyone at the meeting table just now. Then the mysterious voice spoke again. "I'm Arthur, Arthur Kaur ." said the voice. He obviously understood that William didn't recognize him.
William secretly nodded and left the tent. On the way out, he chatted a little more with Godo and, in passing, asked the Mage Arthur's tent.
“Godo, where is Mr. Arthur's tent? I have a few questions to ask.”
Godo scratched his bald head slightly. He was trying to remember. “I think it's tent eight from over there. It must have been a tent with a tower-like shape on it. I'm not sure exactly." Said.
"OK thank you. Gather the team some time and let's have a nice drink,” said William.
“Okay, but the drinks are on you and only after the war.” He said with a sad expression on his face.
Then William left and walked to the wizard's tent. It was the seventh tent, not the eighth tent, as he said. It had the coat of arms, which was indeed a tower.
Two young men stood at the door. He told them his name at the entrance. Soon the young man entered and informed the mage. After he left, he invited him in.
When William entered the tent, he got an unexpected surprise. The inside of the tent was decorated only with animal furs. All around were the furs of various creatures William had known. In the middle of the tent, amid a few candles, the mage was sitting comfortably. When William entered, he gestured to the cushion in front of him with his hand.
William sat directly across from him. Another thing that surprised William was the candles around him. He felt a different spiritual power than these. The entire time it burned, it was as if he was releasing some kind of power around him.
“I think you like meditation candles.” said the mage. Smiling slightly.
“Yes, this is the first time I see something like this,” replied William.
This is a kind of meditation tool that we magicians use in the absence of spiritual power.” Said. He was still smiling.
William was sitting cross-legged across from him. He then put his hand on his chin and asked. “ So, why did you call me?” said.
“I have a task I want to give you.” Said. His smile wasn't a good sign at all.
