Patty finally snapped out of his trance and finally started to think. It was like his mind was empty and was suddenly bombarded with a tsunami of thoughts.
“Wow…” Patty looked at his own hands. He didn't know how that worked, but it worked somehow. The system had a large part in all of this. If it weren’t for its help, this whole thing wouldn’t have worked.
The system automatically used all of his Yi Power on his body parts, and it allowed him to unlock his new body or physique.
‘Hey, system. What is this new physique?’
But there was no answer from the system. He forgot that the system could only respond to him through mission requirements and such. Now that he knows that the system had its own consciousness, he was fully expecting to converse with it. He could just imagine how easy his life would be if he could just tell the system what he wanted to do, and the system would do it for him.
Unfortunately, the system still couldn’t talk. And although he got along well with the system because of a common enemy now, he couldn’t forget about their fundamental difference. The system wanted him to become a good student and while Patty wanted to become lazy. After this fight, he would probably start to argue with the system again. By then, he would be happy that the system couldn’t talk. It would probably nag him to study all the time or something.
The Supreme Spirit Body was accompanied with new stats that he could fill up with Yi Power.
[Earth Aura: 0/1000]
[Water Aura: 0/1000]
[Fire Aura: 0/1000]
[Air Aura: 0/1000]
[Light Aura: 0/1000]
[Dark Aura: 0/1000]
This time, the limit was at a thousand, which was a lot. If he just relied on his Tendora minion to give him Yi Power, he would have to wait 45 days just to fill up one stat. Patty didn’t have time for that! He would have to either upgrade his minion or complete more missions from the system. Ideally, leveling up the Tendora would be the easiest way to do it. Who knew what kind of troublesome mission the system could come up with.
This stat wasn’t as easily apparent as his body parts. At least with those, he knew that his torso would become stronger if he put more Yi Power into it. But these new stats were ambiguous. What was the difference between the Earth Aura and the Water Aura? He didn’t know. And the system won’t tell him.
But despite everything about his new body being a mystery, there was one thing that felt natural. It was the same feeling that he had when he raised his hand. This feeling as if he could control something else. It felt as natural as blinking and breathing. He didn’t have to learn how to use it, he just knew.
He put his hand forward and concentrated on the piece of stone just a few feet away from him. He didn’t know what was going to happen, but he knew that he could do it. But then nothing happened. The stone didn’t move.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Patty thought he was hallucinating from all the adrenaline from the fight? How could he think that he could—
Just as he thought that, the stone suddenly twitched. Was this a coincidence? He concentrated even harder to try and control it.
“You…you have a Teqx, don’t you?” Griff asked. He was down on his knees and contemplated everything that happened. A Teqx was the only explanation to how Patty was able to accomplish all those feats of strength and magic. There could be nothing else.
Patty didn’t answer him.
“At first, I thought your power was your abnormal reaction speed. My kicks have speeds that can sometimes surpass the speed of sound, but somehow, you can see it with crystal clear eyes. I thought you had a C-class Perception Teqx.” Griff remembered that day when he threw that eraser at Patty’s head and missed.
“But then, you showed your invulnerability to everything. Your skin didn’t change to a stronger element, your muscles didn’t grow to preposterous volumes–it was like your base form just became durable like you were some sort of cyborg. Then, I thought you had at least a B-class Invulnerable Skin Defense Teqx. It made sense. Your perception must have been your innate talent, I guessed.”
If that was all, then Griff would have accepted that he was just outclassed by a prodigy like no other. Patty would have just been one of those kids who had better talent than him. But then, the impossible happened.
“Destroying a Fiendish Armament…now that’s impossible…” Griff uttered. “Added with your invulnerability, you perception…that is a power beyond anything that I can think of.”
Griff looked up at Patty and looked him in the eyes. “That must be an S-class Teqx…or even higher.”
Patty didn’t admit it, but he also didn’t deny it. After all, he also didn’t know what kind of Teqx his system was. If it could give out SSS+ class abilities like it was nothing, then it must be even better than that, right? In just this one fight, Patty had two, count ‘em, two SSS+class abilities just by doing minimal work. He didn’t even know if it was even a Teqx or not. After all, it could think for itself and have its own motives and desires. As far as he knew, even SS class Teqx could give him sass like the system did.
“Are you from an Old Ancient family or something? It doesn’t matter.” Griff sighed. “If you had this kind of power, then what are you doing? Why are you staying in the dark? You could be recruited by the top organizations and companies in the entire world! Even Supreme Being Clans would be happy to welcome you into their family. You could stand on top of the world, with everyone below you if you just showed everyone your power.”
Griff looked at Patty with sincere curiosity in his eyes. He truly couldn’t understand Patty’s decision to stay still. “Why are you still lazy?” he finally asked.
And instead of giving Griff a reasonable response that would answer all of his questions. Patty just shrugged and said, “Why not?”
Why not? Griff pondered those two words as he looked down on the ground. His father always told him to push harder and harder to become stronger. He was taught to reach for the skies and take what he wanted. He was taught that only winning mattered. He thought everyone felt this way.
But then, why was Patty different? Why did he have no desire to become the strongest, the wealthiest, the most famous? Why was he so insistent in being lazy?
He didn’t understand. He probably could never understand. But it gave him something new to think about. It gave him a new road to traverse aside from the one that his father taught him. Maybe there was something more to life than becoming a Martial God.
“I invoke the great Chained Being to witness my vow!” Griff shouted to the top of his lungs. He looked up at the single cumulonimbus cloud hanging above them. He was calling to the Supreme Being who oversaw every promise and contract in the entire world.
“I, Griff Sunverk, vow to never speak, tell, or inform anyone about what happened here on this day or my entire soul will burn upon the wrath of the Chained Being Himself!”
As soon as he uttered those words, the cloud above him rumbled until it shot lightning in the form of a silver chain that raced through the atmosphere and struck Griff right in his heart. As it entered his bloodstream, the silver chain suddenly teleported to his heart. The chain wrapped around his aorta, weaving through the four chambers until it enveloped every single part of his heart. At the end of the silver chain was an arrow tip that lightly floated just above his heart. The moment he broke his vow, this arrow tip would pierce his chest and kill him instantly.
Patty didn’t expect Griff to voluntarily keep this secret, but it was a welcome surprise. After all, it would be troublesome for others to find out about his powers. If the wrong person found out about it, then it could seriously ruin Patty’s plan of being lazy. That was the worst case scenario.

Unbeknownst to Patty and Griff, there was one person in the window above that was looking intensely at Patty. Their eyes were filled with curiosity and a mysterious glint that only they could explain. They saw everything that happened, including Patty's physics-breaking move of destroying a Fiendish Armament without even touching it.
They were happy that they were lucky enough to witness all of this on accident. It felt like the universe itself wanted them to come to this remote location at this exact time. Their life changed the moment their eyes landed upon Patty.
“I finally found someone interesting in this school…”
