110 - Trek down

110 - Trek down

Achram felt incredible warmth in his chest. He couldn’t believe that the God was so generous to let him go down the mountain and bring his family here. He felt depressed thinking that they were trapped back down in the village in a miserable life without him. They, too, should discover the majesty and blessing of the God's kingdom!

He felt even more motivated to find more of those black stones that the God wanted so much. If that was the only thing that He needed so that he could bring his family here, then he would bring all of the Kores that he saw and bring every single one of them here even if he had to make multiple trips down.

“The Master has told me that the blacker the stone, the better it is. If you can’t carry a lot, then you should prioritize the blacker ones. But of course, if you can carry a lot, then its color doesn’t matter as long as it is black.”

Achram nodded and took the Slime’s words to heart. This was God’s quest for him. He couldn’t fail Him. Never. After everything that he was given, his life, a new life, his powers, and a chance to bring his family to paradise, there was no way that he could fail this mission. He would rather die than fail to bring anything of use to the God.

“I will sacrifice my life to complete the God’s command,” Achram declared.

The Slime was a little bit worried for Achram because he could be a little too determined. “It’s good that you want to complete the mission, but you don’t have to sacrifice your life. You are a citizen of Master’s kingdom! The first citizen. You should value your life more, and if your life depended on completing the mission, then you should postpone the mission and save your life first.”

“No, I must die.”

If the Slime had a face, he would be slapping his forehead by now. “You have been Blessed by the Master himself, so you better not waste it by dying!”

That got Achram to reconsider his zealousness. He realized that he must make full use of his new powers to the most before he died. “I see…then I shall complete the mission, but take care of my life also so that I can complete more missions in the future.”

Slime bounced up to his shoulders. “See? That’s the spirit!”

Achram then put on the rest of his gear, his fur coat, and the new [Consumable D-class Hiking Boots] that God had given him. He also picked up a few layers of the Meaty Mushroom so that he could have something to eat while on the way there.

The Treant also walked over to him and gave him another piece of bark. This time, Achram didn’t refuse it. He kept it safely behind his clothes. “Thank you, tree.”

The only thing he needed was his armor and food. He didn’t bring any offensive equipment because he didn’t need it. For the majority of the trek down the mountain, he would be protected by the Bear that the Slime tamed. Also, he could see any threat before they could even see him, so he could just avoid them if he had to.

He went over to the Water Well and returned the bucket. He took one last sip of water from it, savoring it because he knew that he wouldn’t be able to drink clear and pure water like this until he returned here.

“My daughter would love this water,” he muttered to himself. Back in the village, they would either have to wait for rainfall or travel through the whole forest just to reach fresh river water. Surviving going to and fro with a bucket of water on your head was another problem in and of itself.

Stolen novel; please report.

His resolve burned even hotter. If he brought his family here, they wouldn’t have to suffer anymore. They could live with new and cute little creatures, they could drink all the water they wanted, and they could eat as much as they wanted without other people trying to steal it.

Achram walked over to the edge of God’s territory. Outside this dome of protection, the harsh cold of the blizzard and freezing winds would kill even the strongest Thalls in his village. He almost died from this cold.

But before he stepped foot outside, he felt a warm sensation in his feet. He looked back and saw Flamie and Boxy both hugging his feet. They both clutched his legs, not wanting him to go out into the wilderness outside the God’s protection. Achram smiled. They reminded him of his son and daughter when they were just little kids.

However much he wanted to stay with them, he had to go out and do his job. “Don’t worry. I will return here with more friends for you both. My children will surely be happy when they see you both.”

Flamie and Boxy both looked up at Achram. None of them understood each other’s language, but somehow, the two minions were comforted by his words.

“I am strong,” Achram said to them. “And Bear here will be with me too.”

GRAAOOR

And finally, they both let go of his legs. They watched as Achram took a step outside the dome of protection and his image blurred into a white mess of snow and hail. After a few seconds, they couldn’t even see him anymore. His bright yellow skin was drowned out by the harsh cold winds outside.

“Don’t worry you two. He’s much stronger than you think he is.” The Slime reassured them.

Patty looked at Achram brave the cold blizzard outside. However, even when the temperature was so low that breath condensation would immediately freeze, Achram didn’t look like he was hindered by it at all.

From what he remembered, Slime and the others discovered Achram almost dying from the cold of the mountain. But now, his new evolution allowed him to have enough internal defenses to ward off the blistering cold. Frost could no longer topple him. He walked step by step, paying no heed to the winds blowing hail to his face.

Patty was impressed that it only took 100 Ether to evolve Achram into this state. The upgrade in strength was very similar to when a normal human transcended his limits after gaining a Teqx. the difference was that Thalls have an inherent skill within their genes, while humans needed Teqx to obtain new powers.

He decided to upgrade his Stock Broker minion so that he would earn more rewards from his investment in Achram.

Because he had enough Minion Growth Crystals, he decided to level it up until level 35, which cost him 7490 MGCs, which wasn’t a small amount, but he had an excess of it for a long time of hoarding it. Not only that, he’ll earn more each day.

This left him with 13,245 Minion Growth Crystals left. And since Achram was going to go down and bring his family here, Patty decided to upgrade the Flag Bearer so that the dome would get a lot bigger and give them more space.

He couldn’t wait until Achram returned with more citizens. After all, with each citizen that he can get, the amount of Kores he got would also increase! If he also evolved them and got their loyalty, they would be more than willing to give him Kores as thanks! That was the best way to get rich using the Virtual World!

He looked at his system and saw that he still had a lot of Ether!

[Ether: 2050]

This meant that he could evolve at least 20 more Thalls! That’s twenty more hands to be filled with Kores!

But Patty reminded himself not to get too caught up. After all, he still had 5 more Kores right now that he still hadn’t sold yet. He was still waiting for Leonard’s confirmation. He was the only one he could sell the Kores to.

DING DING

And just as he thought that, the television screen suddenly showed a popup screen about a new message he had.
