Patty looked at his own hands in wonder. Was he stronger than he thought he was? The only way that could happen was because of the system. He looked at his stats again to confirm.

All of his body parts were at a number above 20. When he first got this stat number, he didn’t know what it meant. He didn’t have any comparison to know how much he improved, so he didn’t pay much attention to it. After all, improving one of his body parts by 20 could be as pathetic as being able to lift 20 more pounds of weight.
He thought that Yi Power wasn’t all that impressive compared to Minion Growth Crystals, which could improve the powers of his minions by a tangible amount. After all, if he just leveled up his Muscava Cyclo by one level, then he would gain another second of slowed time. So, he prioritized getting Minion Growth Crystals.
But judging from the strength he displayed, easily crushing a 20 fold Damascus steel, he was heavily mistaken about Yi Powers.
All of his body parts were above the number 20. He showed a strength that exceeded the powers of 20 normal men combined. Was that just a coincidence? Patty didn’t think so. Then that could only mean one thing: Yi Power allows him to surpass the normal strength of humans just like folding Damascus Steel.
If he improved his head by 1 Yi Power, then it would now be 21 times stronger than a normal human’s head. If he leveled his torso by 10, then it would grow to 31 times tougher than a base level human.
That kind of power was insane! Why was it only now that he found that out? He could have been farming Yi Power all the time so that he could make himself invincible. If he knew about how this stat thing worked, then he would have been so much more enthusiastic when he got Yi Power as a reward from his missions.
He had been putting off leveling up his body parts because he was lazy. Why would he waste time on it when it wouldn’t benefit him right now? That was his kind of thinking back then, but given that a Fiend could suddenly appear out of nowhere, then improving his own survivability was a top priority.
He still had an extra 102 Yi Power in stock, which was just enough to upgrade all of his body parts 17 times.

Patty locked it in and made his whole body 40 times stronger than that of a normal human. He put a whole new meaning on the words ‘thick skin’. But despite being equivalent to that of a superhuman, he didn’t feel all that different from before. This was his one complaint. If the system just gave him a feeling of being stronger each time he used Yi Power to cultivate himself, then he would have known about its importance much earlier.

Patty wanted to check something so he went over to the Fiend’s corpse. Its fangs were as terrifying as when it was pointed at him. Even though it was twice as big as him, the sharp point of the fang was as sharp as a needle. No wonder it could tear through steel like it was pudding.
Even though the Fiend was dead, the Atlas security still kept their distance from the fangs as they were extremely dangerous. They wouldn’t touch it even with a ten foot pole.
Of course, Patty stabbed himself in the arm with the fang. This was an extremely foolish thing to do as the fangs were sharp enough to cut bone without much resistance, so people could lose their limbs if they weren't careful. But Patty needed to be sure about his own strength.
Low and behold, the extremely sharp fang stopped before it penetrated his skin. He never shed a single blood. The only thing Patty felt was a poking pressure in his arm but he didn’t feel any strong pain of being stabbed. And Patty didn’t just tap his arm on the fang, he actually tried to stab it with much force. This absolutely proved that his whole body was now enough to be impervious to any of the Fiend’s attacks.
If he were to fight against the Fiend right now, he could just lay on the ground and watch as the Fiend fail to stomp his body into bits. Even its fangs would be of no use against him. That was the power of being 40 times stronger than a human.
Of course, Patty also couldn’t do any damage to the Fiend, so they would be both at a stalemate. He would still need the help of Felix and his Fiendish Armament to kill the Fiend.
All in all, Patty estimated that he now had the same toughness as the Fiend. The implications of that were massive. After all, he saw earlier how thousands of bullets and massive grenade explosions did nothing to scratch the hide of the Fiend. Guns and explosions did nothing to the Fiend, which could only mean that they would also be ineffective against Patty.
He was bulletproof! How amazing was that?!
Patty had a newfound confidence after knowing that. Even in the midst of the dangers and chaos of a war, Patty could still stay at home and enjoy the peace and quiet of his home without the worries of school. Even if there were bombs and gunfights going around him, he could still sleep like a lamb. After all, even if he was hit, it wouldn’t even scratch him. Was this how immortals feel?
[Main Mission]
[Requirement]
* Achieve 100/100 on all your body parts
[Reward]
* ??? SSS+ class Super-ability
Patty was already going to try and get all 100/100 on his body parts, but it’s good that the system gave him another incentive to do it–although, the reward seems dubious. He had never heard of anything with a SSS+ class ability. He didn’t even think they existed. The best ability that was available in the public was a SS class ability, which was very rare and could only be counted in one hand in the entire world.
The system probably won’t scam him, probably. Now that Yi Power was a hot commodity, Patty figured out that he should upgrade the Tendora minion. After all, it was his only source of constant Yi Power.
[D-class Tendora]
[Description]
* A green-skinned monster that walks upright on two feet. It is made up entirely of muscle and tendon with no head and only two arms and two legs as its extremities. This phylum of animals has perfected physical growth to its maximum.
[Level: 12/30]
[Growth Crystal Required for Level Up: 100]
[Ability: 22 Yi/day]
[Minion Growth Crystal: 235 => 65]
[Y/N]
Patty leveled up the Tendora from level 10 to level 12, which upgraded its daily income of 20 Yi/day, to 22 Yi/day. And with the extra 60 minion growth crystals, he upgraded the Muscava Cyclo. Only he knew how critical that minion’s power was in staying alive in dangerous situations.
[A-class Muscava Cyclo]
[Description]
* A tiny avian animal that is renowned for its large protruding eyes that can see up to 360 degrees. Using its stature that is smaller than a fingernail, this animal avoids predators using its all-seeing eyes and fast movement from its four wings in its back.
[Level: 10/70]
[Growth Crystal Required for Level Up: 70]
[Ability: slow time for 10 seconds]
[Minion Growth Crystal: 65 => 5]
Patty was hungry for more missions. He wanted more rewards for both the Yi Power and the Minion Growth Crystal. The system was successful in manipulating him to do more missions because he was fully intent on upgrading his body and his minions.
But Patty didn't have to worry about that yet. Right now, he should be worried about his current problems, like his money. The arcade owner still owed him the money that they bet.
“Have you authenticated it yet? That is the last ball I was supposed to catch, right?”
The arcade owner scrutinized every part of the red ball but he couldn’t find any evidence that it was fake. Patty won the bet. The worst part about it was that his balls were crumpled and dented beyond use, which meant that he would have to replace them, and that would cost a lot of money that he didn’t have. Not to mention the damage done in the arcade, he was broke beyond belief.
But a bet was a bet. He couldn’t renege on their deal right under the nose of the Chained Being. Even though they didn’t do an official contract under the Chained Being, a promise was something that shouldn’t be broken–especially since that was the Chained Being’s territory.
“Fine, kid. You win. Here’s 10,000 Chains, now get out of my arcade!”
Patty received the money with a wide grin on his face. He finally had enough money to buy a massage chair! Fighting and almost losing his life against the Fiend was finally made worth it when he got the money.
“Yes, I did it!” Patty shouted.
“Hey Patty. Can I ask you something?” Grammo scratched his head as he walked up to Patty. There was something bugging his head.
“What?”
“Why did we go to the marketplace?”
Patty answered honestly. “Because I wanted to see what they had in store.”
“Uh huh. Then, why did we visit the massage chair store?”
“I wanted to try one and see if I could buy it.”
“Okay…then why did we go to the arcade?”
“Because I heard about the bet”
“Why did you do the bet?”
“Because I wanted money.”
“What’s the money for?”
“I wanted to buy the massage chair.”
“Okay…okay…let me get something straight here. I thought that we went to the marketplace because you thought that I could buy something that will help me with singing. But we didn’t even look for anything like that. I thought we went to the massage chair because you wanted me to relax my voice for conditioning, but nope. Then, I thought we went to the arcade because that’s where I could practice my singing, but I couldn’t even do that.”
Patty looked at Grammo and didn’t know where he was going with this talk.
“Tell me Patty. Why did we almost die from that Fiend? What has all this got to do with my singing or the music competition?”
“What music competition? Oh…” Patty’s jaws opened in shock. “Oops. I totally forgot about that. Sorry.”
“YOU FORGOT WHAT?!?!?!"
[Mission]
[Requirement]
* Get back from the music competition before Grammo gets disqualified
