Chapter 20 - Kiirion Expresses Himself
After Kiirion pointed out that the dress was ripped I ran to mom’s room and changed back to a shirt and pants.
I gave mom the dress when they came and I apologized for ripping it.
Ah…. my manhood…. damm dress!!!
I will never wear one ever again!!!
It’s noon now but I’m already so tired from listening to the meeting and after the fight with Kiirion.
Not to mention the effect of [Weaken] making it even worst.
As of now I have nothing to do, nor do I feel like doing something either, so I was just wondering around.
After walking around for a bit I ran into Kiirion in a hallway.
When I was about to walk pass him he grabbed me and turned me towards him.
What the heck is he doing?
“W...wait, there’s something I want to tell you…” [Kiirion]
“Umm. Sure go on ahead then...”
“Is this love that I'm feeling or is just a simple crush.~

I was speechless after hearing the poem that he came up with and when I looked at him, he was blushing.
“Umm.… w...well, I think it’s better than what I could have came up with…”
It is true though, I can’t write a good poem, in fact English was my worst subject….
Seriously this guy has some balls to go straight up to a girl he likes and say something this embarrassing.

After I said that he just stood there in silence thinking about it.
I was just about to leave when he grabbed me again.

W...what the hell! Is an eleven year old kid supposed to be this persistent?

“Are you sure you can defy your dad?”

Saying so he left me in the hall while he ran to find his dad.
“Well then… huffff. I guess I’ll go get something to eat then take a bath and go to sleep.”

I am looking for father after Haliel pointed something out, that he probably won’t let me marry her.
When I got to the Dining Hall, the Emperor, father, and the other representatives were still eating so I waited for them to finish.
‘I am so glad I decided to come with father to the meeting. Had I not come, I never would’ve met Haliel’
‘Father and I will be leaving tomorrow so I need to convince him to let me stay.’ [Kiirion]
After they finished eating, my father came out.
“Oh Kiirion, I’m sorry I couldn’t take you. It would be impolite for you to eat at his table without invitation.” [Dolon]
“Father it’s alright, I know my place. There is something I would like to request of you though.” [Kiirion]
“What might that be?” [Dolon]
“It’s just… may I stay here for a while to train? I mean no one can defeat me at home, and both the [Hero] and Haliel are here.” [Kiirion]
“What!? Do you know how big a request that would be for the Emperor? And who is this ‘Haliel’ person?” [Dolon]
“She was the one who defeated me earlier father. I think I would improve much faster if I spar with her instead.” [Kiirion]
“Hmm… that may be true, but I don’t like the idea of a half blood being above my own son!” [Dolon]

“.... But isn’t she part of the Royal Family now? Shouldn’t she be considered a Princess then? If so then that means I can marry her can’t I?” [Kiirion]
“Marry her!?!? What are you talking about!?” [Dolon]
“I think I like her....” [Kiirion]
“Out of all the girls that you met with before you choose this half blood!?” [Dolon]
“But dad, I don’t like the other girls…. besides how would a Half-Elf have such strength that even the Emperor wants her in the Royal Family?” [Kiirion]

My father had the looks of having just remembered something important on his face.
“I just realized that the girl has both red eyes AND white hair…. the only thing that could mean is…. a [Variant]! She is just like Prince Gelion. Usually this never happens, having two [Variants] living at the same time. Not just that, it’s usually the [Hero] that is also a [Variant]. Come I have some questions to ask the Emperor.” [Dolon]
Saying so we went back to the Dining Hall.
When we got there, Haliel was with the Emperor as well.
“Oh, perfect you’re both here. Forgive my rudeness your Majesty but I have some things I would like to ask you.” [Dolon]
“You may speak Governor Dolon of the Northwest.” [Rinor]
“Yes your Majesty. First off, I would like to confirm something. Is the girl there, Haliel, a [Variant] like the Crowned Prince?” [Dolon]
“Oh, you are to first one to notice, though I thought the other representatives would’ve also notice too. It seems they didn’t try to overlook the fact that she is a Half-Elf. So to answer your question, yes she is also a [Variant].” [Rinor]
“Next what I want to know is how she is so strong? Is she actually a [Hero]?” [Dolon]
“Well, I don't know much either but she isn’t a [Hero]. And according to [Hero] Yoichi, her father was killed when she was three. After that she was raised by an intelligent tamed level 100 monster, the Blue Blazing Phoenix. You have also seen the Phoenix today too, he was the man with blue hair and eyes earlier named Blaze. So she spent much of her time hunting high level monsters in the Elisven Forest as she grew up alone, until Yoichi found them.” [Rinor]
“....” [Dolon]
Both me and my father were shocked to hear this.
I started to understand now why I lost to her even though I am older.
‘She has more actual combat experience than I do….’

“I see. Well, I hope to see great things from her in the future then. Let’s go Kiirion.” [Dolon]
“Father, but I…” [Kiirion]
I didn’t even get to finish my sentence when my father cut me off and drag me outside.
Once we were back at our guestroom, he released me and closed the door.
“I don’t care if you like her, it’s just because you are still too young. Anyways I can’t simply ask the Emperor to let you stay here, especially when it comes out of the blue like this. If you want some pointers before we leave tomorrow, you can go ask [Hero] Yoichi and when we get back home, I’ll apply you for Rugia Academy. It’s the best on the continent.” [Dolon]
“Yes father…” [Kiirion]
‘I will meet you again Haliel, no matter what my dad says.’ [Kiirion]

After Kiirion went to sleep, I had more time to think about what I needed to do.
“So it seems that even more mysteries are surrounding that girl. I didn’t want to ask Emperor Rinor too many questions so I suppose I’ll need someone to spy on her when we leave. And to get my thick headed son to get over her I’ll need him to study at Rugia.” [Dolon]
After I wrote down my plans, I summoned my pet and sent the letter to one of my subordinate.
With this I won’t need to waste time explaining it when I get back and just execute it.
“The girl must have a secret to that strength other just the title [Prodigy]. I have to find out if I am to save my people and protect our bloodlines.” [Dolon]
