Chapter 2 - On the Run?

I woke up this morning to the same strange room again confirming that it was not all just a dream.

Well I did kinda asked for something like this to happen, but then again….

Anyways today the guy went out today all equipped and stuff, which made me wonder:

What era am I in currently and is this a fantasy like word with swords and magic?

Well I haven’t seen magic yet but I really want to be able to use it!

Let’s see… so far I guess I have gotten a bit used to life as a baby, though some things still makes me uncomfortable like being breast fed and the baths.

Well I guess I’ll just endure this for about 3 or so more years till I tell them I can bathe on my own.

I have also just realized how boring it is to be a baby, since all you could do was lay around and do nothing, get fed, go to sleep, poop, and that’s pretty much it.

Man I really want to watch some anime right now though, or maybe read manga and light novels.

Wait a minute since I’m in a fantasy world now, which usually doesn’t have modern technology and is in a different world, I can’t watch or read them anymore!! NOOOO!!

3 Months Have Passed

Well I can finally move my head and neck freely now though I still don’t have any means of moving around… well at least I can understand what they’re saying now.

I’m not sure about the developments of babies, but I don’t think they can learn a language this fast can they?

Or is it because I am older mentally that I learned their language this fast… hmm well it doesn’t matter.

Anyways my dad is out hunting for meat today and by the way his name is Alan.

My mom’s name is Eril though I’m not sure about my last name since my parents haven’t even mentioned it before.

I wonder why my parents live out here in the woods alone, I mean I haven’t even met any other people other than my parents and Blaze, which is my dad’s phoenix.

Blaze is a beautiful bird with blue fire instead of the typical red or orange colored phoenix.

And yes I have started to call them my parents instead of kidnappers since this makes more sense, and I hope I really wasn’t kidnapper by them from someone else.

Again today is just like every other day, my mom wakes up to cook and fed me while my dad goes out to hunt or chop fire woods.

Whenever mom is done feeding me she plays baby games with me, which are boring… but I have to act like I’m enjoying it or else she starts worrying like she did last month.

After spending this much time with them I concluded that they are both doting parents.

While Eril and Haliel were at home Alan was outside hunting some of the “normal” animals for meat and was killing monsters to keep his family and their food safe inside the warded area of the forest.

As Alan was placing down traps for rabbits near one of the wards, he noticed that it had been broken.

With closer inspection it didn’t look like it was done by monsters, since the cuts were too precise to be made from random slashes that monsters would usually make.

Also only monsters higher than level 50 with more than 2500 strength can harm the wards.

After inspecting the area near the ward, Alan found no traces of any recent monster attack on the ward.

Instead what he found were… foot prints, a lot of them meaning that some high level intruders have shown up.

By the looks of things there should be around 15 or so of  them, but how did they enter unnoticed?

And also the direction they were heading towards is… ERIL AND HALIEL!

I need to get back now! And as fast as I can too, they might be in danger!

Yawning Haliel woke up from her nap.

Ahh… it sure is boring, wish something more exciting would happen.

Ohh, seems like mom's cooking something. It sure does smell nice.

I can’t wait to be able to eat her cooking when I get older.

Just as I was thinking this, the door of the house got knocked down by some guys in robes and hoods.

At the moment I’m in my crib which is in the living room, but they didn’t even bother with me and just walked straight into the kitchen.

That’s where mom is! What do they want with mom?!

Do they know each other? Wait no! If they did know each other they would’ve just knocked on the door not completely diminish it.

“We are here to pick you up.” [Shady guy 1]

“It took us awhile but we finally managed to find you” [Shady guy 2]

“What do you mean ‘here to pick me up’ and who are you people? I don’t think we met before.... wait that emblem! Isn’t it the Royal Elven…”

“Yes that is correct your Highness we are the Royal Elven Recon Corps and we are here to bring you back to the empire.” [Shady guy 3]

“Why would you come to take me back? Isn’t my sister the next heir not me?”

“Well… that was what was supposed to happen.” [Shady guy 1]

“‘Supposed to?’ What does that mean?”

“The thing is, your sister got assassinated.” [Shady guy 1]

“She’s dead? But how?! Wasn’t she guarded 24/7?”

“Yes she was but we can go into details later now what we need is you to come back with…” [Shady guy 1]

“Go back but I’m already married.”

“We know but with what a HUMAN!? You think your mother would’ve approved that! She..” [Shady guy 1]

“Yes I know she wouldn’t accept it! But why would that matter huh?! After all she never even payed any attention to me, just big sis! That’s why I left and  when I met Alan he gave me something I never had before and that’s love.”

“That may be true but do you know how wretched those damn humans are, they don’t even see us as equals. They capture us just to make into slaves! They should just all die!” [Shady guy 1]

“Is that any way you should be speaking to me? Besides I won’t go back, not without Haliel or Alan.”

“Sorry Highness but that won’t be allowed, you are to be married with Rínor, your sister’s fiance. And you can't bring back a damn half-blood either.” [Shady guy 2]

“In fact we were ordered to kill them then bring you back. So tell me where you hid the baby?” [Shady guy 1]

Ohh shit that did not sound good… Am I going to die already? But… but I’m only 3 months old what the heck is wrong with this…

Oh yeah “Fantasy World” and I guess elves and humans aren’t on good terms huh.

Then one of the shady guy came into the room and started looking around and tossing things around.

Guess he’s looking for me.

Oh snap he’s getting really close! But seriously do they not know what a baby’s crib look like….

Well it’s a good thing I’m not found yet.

Just as I thought that my dad came running through the door.

“Damnit, I knew something like this would happen.”

“Who are you!” [Shady guy 4]

“I heard what you guys said earlier. So you really are intruders. Don’t think I’ll allow that to happen.”

“Tch. So your Mister Alan huh? Well don’t you dare underestimate us! Get him!” [Shady guy 1]

That signaled the beginning of the fight.

As the guys in robe surround my dad, he picked me up as gently and quickly as he could while my crib got crushed by the many weapons aimed at me.

Taking a step back my dad drew his sword and called Blaze come and help my mom.

My dad takes a one-handed stance since he was also holding onto me he couldn’t use his other sword.

He lunges forward at an incoming enemy charge, quickly deflecting the swords to the side while cutting the blades off of the spears.

After their weapons got destroyed they backed up and changed places with other robed figures.

The robe figures rushed in again but this time my dad did something amazing.

He disappeared on the spot and reappeared again at one of them and quickly stabs a vital area then disappears and moves on to the next target, doing this repeatedly until the 7 that surrounded us were dead.

Hmm that reminds me of a move that I saw a lot of time when I was playing League…

Ah! Thats right Fiora and Master Yi! Ha, Alpha Strike and what was it...Blade Dance?

Anyways that was amazing… though I think I should be more worried about my life since this is all real…

“Tch. I didn’t think he’ll be able to defeat lv 65s so easily. Guess I’ll have to go in.”

“Hey guys! Make sure you take Eril back and kill that damn bird!” [Shady guy 1]

Saying so he too draws his weapon and charged at my dad.

While my dad was deflecting and parrying the guy’s attack one of the robed guys sneaked up behind mother.

He did something to her and she fell instantly!

Blaze tried to go in and save her but as the fight was indoors, it greatly hindered him and he was caught in a fight with the remaining 6 figures.

“Eril!!”

My dad tried to go save her too but since he still had me in hand there was not much he could do.

Sorry dad and mom, I’m only in the way….

“Tch. Damnit!! Blaze these guys are way higher level than I expected we… we have to retreat! I also don’t think they’ll do anything bad to Eril either if what they said earlier is true.”

Saying so my dad placed more power and magic into his sword and made a horizontal slash at them, creating a great shock wave following.

This destroyed many things in its path, it also made them drop their weapons to place up a barrier around themselves and mom.

Using this chance both dad and Blaze escaped using magic to boost their speed and agility.

“Tch. Damn. The 5 of you chase after them!” [Shady guy 1]

“OKay let’s get Eril back.” [Shady guy 1]

“You really are too familiar with her Highness, Lavandir” [Shady guy 2]

“Why did you say my name when we’re still on a mission!? I thought I told not to do that again!” [Lavandir]

“Ooops. Hehe sorry Lav… I mean boss.” [Shady guy 2]

“Tch. Come on let’s go already, the marriage is in 2 weeks. We have to get back before then.” [Lavandir]

And with that the 5 Royal Elven Recon Corps went after Alan and Blaze while Lavandir and the remaining members returned to the Elven Empire of Glaswen.
