Edward stealthily made his way into the clothing store, making the slightest sound as possible, after making his way inside the, he sniffed the air repeatedly and sighed in relief.
The coast was clear.
He made his way towards the clothes rack and picked some clothes.
A black hoodie with an angry bird painting on it, black loose pants and a pair of leather sandals. He also grabbed a backpack; for carrying foodstuffs. He contemplated taking one of the broken racks with him for protection but decided not to in the end. Since zombies didn't attack him, he would just let them be also, no need for a standoff. Well, the truth was that he was just too scared to fight a zombie.
Edward made his way outside the clothing store after taking what he wanted. He looked up and the sky was still pitch black. Nice, it was still night. Making his way through the cold streets with nothing but zombies and after works of Chaos, Edward held his breath through it all, afraid of passing out the instant he took in the stench of those mindless eating monsters.
Just after walking for less than 10 minutes, Edward came across a supermarket,. The place was already in ruins as expected and Edward could see zombies moving around the building. Was there someone inside?
Edward frowned as he walked around the building. He was not a hero and could not save everyone he met, although he wanted to charge in and help, he was not confident at all! He would rather pass through the back and help them if he felt it was safe enough but getting food was his priority.
After making a detour, Edward came to the back of the building where he couldn't spot even a single person or zombie. They were all gathered in front of the building, slamming their decayed bodies against it. Now Edward was very sure that someone must be inside.
After careful consideration, he made his way in. Since he could see clearly and did not need a flashlight or anything to brighten his way, coupled with his black and black outfit; Edward moved like a ninja, quiet but quick without catching any attention, it was almost like he wasn't there.
Well, it would have been so apart from a pair of green eyes that glowed in the corner as it looked at Edward.
It was a zombie. A zombie with green eyes. It was as tall as two people combined and was as large as a bus, it stayed quietly and just kept looking at Edward who move past it.

Edward obviously saw this zombie but didn't disturb it, of course, he was confused as to why a zombie would have green eyes instead of red. Edward concluded it might be an evolved zombie, he remembered that female zombie that had made him pass through hell,
That zombie had a faint green color within her red eyes which signified she was also an evolving zombie.
Edwards' body suddenly trembled at the realization. That the female zombie was just an evolving zombie, yet she was able to deal with him without him even putting up a fight.
Edward had just moved a few steps away from the huge zombie when he suddenly heard the sound of something piercing through the wind, he hastily turned and was just in time to see the green eyed zombie appear in front of him with its bulky arm raised high..
puchi!!
The zombie's hand stabbed into Edwards stomach and it raised its hand, lifting Edward from the ground as he dangled on the zombie's hand. Green blood flowed out through the gaping hole in his stomach.
Edward almost fainted from the pain alone. He forced himself to keep his consciousness awake because the moment he fell unconscious, that would be the end of him. He still didn't know how his regeneration ability worked.
"Damn!! Why is this zombie attacking me?" Edward cursed as he spat a mouthful of green blood and the blood smeared on the zombie's face, making its hideous look turn more scary and mind troubling.
Edward didn't seem to notice the change in his blood as he tried to struggle his way off the hook that was suspending him in midair.
The zombie flung its hand, sending the annoying pest towards the wall. Edward crashed into the wall with a bang sound and his head instantly turned hazy. He felt all of his bones had broken into pieces, even breathing felt extremely painful and difficult.
But thanks to his reformed body and strong bones, he did not end up as squashed meat and only got a few fractured bones.
His eyes blurred, he was losing consciousness.
'Oh no!'
Edward tried to keep himself awake but unfortunately, he could not.
He felt something was calling out to him within his body, a strange feeling wanted to reach out. Edward was too weak to fight against the feeling and could only succumb to its temptation.
The last thing he saw before everything went dark was the huge zombie stumbling towards him.
After Edward lost consciousness, the huge zombie who was storming over suddenly halted, its blue eyes stared at the unconscious Edward and the green eyes glowed brightly, anticipating battle.
Just as it had expected, Edwards body immediately started to regenerate. The gaping hole in his stomach started to close up, sounds of bones shifting could be heard as his bones repaired themselves. After a couple of seconds, Edwards eyes snapped open. Red eyes, his red eyes glowed so brightly that even the zombie's green eyes were like fire flies next to the moon.
He slowly stood up and stared at the huge zombie, a sinister grin appeared on Edwards lips as he disappeared the next instance, reappearing beside the huge zombie. His fingers formed into bone claws and he swung his hand towards the neck of the zombie.
Although his attack was fast, the zombie was after all,an evolved zombie.
It dodged and allowed Edwards bone claw to pass above its rotten head, its reaction was even faster than Edward's. Within such close distance, it was still able to dodge Edwards attack without a scratch.
The now blood-driven Edward wasn't discouraged by this and his sadistic grin widened as the red glow intensified, he attacked in a frenzy, launching dozens of attacks in mere seconds.
The zombie and Edward were soon locked in an intense hand to hand combat, the zombie received quite a considerable amount of damage from their exchange; thankfully, it couldn't heal so its injuries continued to pile up.
Edward wasn't in a better position either. His body was constantly in regenerating circle as piece of flesh constantly dropped from his body whenever the zombie landed a strike on his body, all his hands were already bones but were quick to recover at a mind blowing speed, giving him the advantage in their life and death battle.
