Chapter 70 - Big Bang

Chapter 70 - Big Bang

As Braun struggled to resist the encroaching layer of dark origin around him, his eyes flashed as he abruptly felt his divine core resonate with something from the outside world. The web of destiny on his back shone briliantly for a moment, pushing back the darkness around him, but the brilliance soon dimmed and the struggle returned.

Although it only lasted for a moment, Braun’s mind had already spun countless thoughts to try and theorize the truth, but with the problem at hand, he couldn’t think as freely as he would like.

Just what was that?

The endless white light emitting from Christopher’s eyes receded and the strange scene he saw from above disappeared. His thoughts were a mess as he felt a sense of familiarity from the otherworldly web. Unfortunately, he still had another problem to deal with.

He took a deep breath, grabbed at the empty space, and a book formed in front of him with a door on its cover. Turning the knob of the door, an immense gravitational force pulled him in and the book behind him collapsed, disappearing from reality like illusory motes of light.

When he was sucked into the book, he found himself arriving in a strange place of utter darkness, with the only source of light coming from a gargantuan black hole the size of countless stars, with its one lone eye piercing straight into his soul.

His thoughts cleared up in an instant as a faint blue library formed behind him that gathered all of the flowing information into this world and imprinted it into his mind. Browsing through the newly gathered information, he soon located where Zen and Crowley were both located.

Christopher flashed through space at immense speeds and appeared right beside Crowley and Zen who were on the verge of dying. Their skin had withered and rotted with all signs of life having left their physical vessel. Only traces of their soul remained, with a majority having been sucked into the living black hole—The Testimony of the End.

“Transform truth into lies and lies into truth,” Christopher murmured and the visage of a grand library, one more solid than before, opened its doors, and two bookshelves formed above their dying corpses.

Numerous books flew out of the two bookshelves and the words written on their pages rapidly changed. Life and death were intertwined and the truth was reversed.

Crowley and Zen opened their eyes and gasped for breath. Before they could ask questions, Christopher forcefully created a new book in the void of space with a door wide open.

“Take a rest… Leave everything to me.” Christopher waved his hand and two were shoved into the open door, and as the book closed, the two managed to escape from certain peril.

Now alone with no one to hold him back, Christopher gazed at the massive black hole born from the deaths of countless stars. Radiant white light emitted from his hands, gathering into a vortex of karma.

Good karma to bless himself, bad karma to curse the living black hole.

As the white light fused into his body and the black light shot towards the living black hole, he used his elevated power that had broken through the divine realm and covered the beam of black light in a formless layer of force.

With the help of the formless layer, the black light endured through the abusive darkness and intensive gravity permeating from the living black hole and hit straight into it. The black hole’s giant body abruptly waned and slowed down its rotation, while its massive size shrunk by a small margin.

Although a small debuff, it’s still a significant action, as he had successfully established karmic ties with the black hole.

The black hole, however, noticed the newly formed karmic tie and snorted coldly. It harrumphed, and the darkness erupted like a tidal wave, destroying the invisible karmic tie in an instant.

Clicking his tongue, Christopher, still inexperienced with fights in the divine realm, teleported away and tried to think of a method to defeat the half-step Level 8 True God before him. Although he basically had triple divine authorities at this point, with the main authority capable of branching out into infinite other authorities, his lack of experience was inhibiting him from displaying his full potential.

Darting through the dying galaxy, he dodged the tendrils of void black darkness coming his way while also launching out attacks from time to time. He would conjure massive stars, seal space, destabilize the fabric of reality, and bend causality, but all of his attempts were brutally destroyed by the power of destruction and the presence of the end.

However, his attempts proved to be useful as he slowly gained more understanding of his abilities. He needed less effort to dodge and escape the boundaries of the black hole’s gravitational pull, his attacks became more efficient and destructive, and his comprehension of the domains he ruled started to clear up in his mind.

In the end, he finally found a feasible method that could potentially put him on equal terms against the overwhelming intensity of a half-step Level 8 True God.

He stopped flying away and stood still in the void of space. The singular eye of the massive black hole gazed into the depths of his soul, causing a chill to crawl down his spine. Christopher ignored the uncomfortable feeling and took a deep breath.

The black hole roared loudly and flew forward at dizzying speeds. It grabbed at the empty space like footholds and pulled itself forward, madly waving its tentacles to bring Christopher’s end.

“Heavenly Kingdom…” Christopher’s eyes shone brightly with white light. The void of space around him twisted and spiraled as if a new world was being forcefully etched onto the current one. “Big Bang.”

Countless atoms formed out of nothing, exploding outwards in a flash of endless light. Intense heat waves burst out as infinite galaxies were born. From those galaxies, atoms collided and gathered in large lumps, detonating as the birth of new stars began.

Christopher willed the oozing source of creation from his heavenly kingdom and took control of the numerous galaxies in his realm. Even though they paled in comparison to the ones outside, in his heavenly kingdom, they might as well be considered real galaxies with innumerable stars.

Heavenly Kingdoms were the manifestation of the god’s divine authority where their control was infallible and insurmountable. They wield the power of creation and nigh limitless control over their corresponding domains, exhibiting unmatched strength that only fellow gods in their heavenly kingdoms could wish to contest.

Moreover, with a divine core that used two other divine cores as its foundation, the breadth of his divine kingdom far surpassed the Testimony of the End’s heavenly kingdom!

Countless motes of starlight gathered with galactic clouds, forming into one celestial being the size of numerous galaxies with Christopher in the center of it all.

Half-step Level 8 True God—Supreme Creator!

The Half-step Level 8 True God, the living black hole now known as the Testimony of the End, stared at the gargantuan giant made out of stars and colorful clouds engulfing the entirety of heaven and earth. The celestial’s size continuously expanded, far surpassing the living black hole’s spherical figure.

Extending out its palm that suppressed the heavens beneath it, the living black hole, now akin to the size of a mere tennis ball, found itself struggling to maintain its strength as endless pressure crashed from all sides.

The living black hole struggled in vain as the power of numerous galaxies pressed down on it. Even though it crazily absorbed everything that approached its body, the sheer gap between it and Christopher was as vast as an ant and an elephant.

One wielded the power that signified the end of all things, while the other wielded the power of the start of all things.

One was the beginning, one was the end.

In a poetic twist of irony, the Testimony of the End, just having reached the peak of its life and seemingly held a limitless future, bore the brunt of destiny and it too, met its end. Before it died, however, green flames abruptly surged from its core, which winked out of existence as quickly as it arrived.

Crack!

A tiny crack abruptly formed on the surface of the ball of darkness sealing Braun, surprising Adam who was still busy overpowering the damnable bastard with the power of a True God. He squinted his eyes as he felt a foreboding feeling arose from the depths of his soul.

Inside the black sphere, Braun’s eyes glimmered with iridescent light as green flames exploded out of his chest, eyes, and mouth. He roared involuntarily as the green light endlessly exploding out of his orifices blazed forth a new level of power from his divine core.

He grabbed at his chest and endured the otherworldly pain stemming from the depths of his warped origin. Enduring the madness, Braun growled and clawed his hands deep into the dark floor beneath him.

The eight spider legs on his back fully unraveled as the threads spun around chaotically. Each thread was interconnected into one another in a seemingly random pattern, and endless possibilities of the future could be perceived from each strand of the dizzying web.

Opening his mouth where green flames continuously spewed, Braun mumbled, “Heavenly Kingdom.”

“Web of Destiny.”
