Braun cursed adamantly in his mind as he moved through a world moving at a snail’s pace. He dodged attacks as if he had eyes all over his body and reacted with scary precision by counterattacking with one deadly blow after another.
A minor god from Afril dashed forward wielding a blazing red spear. Everything in the spear’s path combusted into flames, burning into ash.
Braun stepped forward at breakneck speeds, traveling thousands of steps in zero seconds. Before anyone could even react, his hand had already stabbed through the minor god’s chest, with a fiery heart thumping madly in his hand.
Although every god summoned by Adam’s power emitted powerful auras, they paled in comparison to their original selves and could only utilize a percent of their original strength. Against any other ordinary enemy, this would have been enough, but with Braun as an enemy, this level of strength was far from sufficient.
His figure blitzed through the endless expanse of grass and trees as he dealt with one god after another. Countless legendary figures hailed from different countries and religions faced their untimely demise, dying once more at the hands of an otherworldly entity.
Green flames danced around Braun’s void black figure, leaving behind trails of green light wherever he went. Whenever a god perished, his presence grew stronger as the Zenithral Force recognized his achievements, deepening his connection with the metaphysical realm of progress.
Grow, evolve, transcend!
Like a mantra in his mind, he slaughtered more and more gods as an endless number of them threw away their lives to stop the demonic entity from winning.
…
The meteor of destruction, unable to dodge or evade, cried out with a gravelly deep voice that shook the entirety of the library. The flames around its body dimmed as a gigantic hole could be seen in the middle of its spherical body, revealing a bloody pile of wriggling flesh inside.
While its authority may have reached Level 7, the meteor’s divine core hasn’t truly established a connection with the world, limiting its true strength to a half-step Level 7 god. Against a genuine powerhouse like Crowley who had mastered his power across thousands of years, pushing his comprehension over what his divine authority meant to completion, the living meteor, Herald of Destruction, simply stood no chance.
Well, that’s what would have normally happened if common sense were to be followed.
No… NO! It roared inside its mind as countless eyes opened on the surface of the living meteor. Green light suffused from its numerous eyes as the flame surrounding its body turned from bright red to malevolent green. There’s no way I, Herald of Destruction, would die a helpless death!
Struggle, endure the pain! Fight for your dear life and do your all to survive!
Grow, evolve, transcend!
In the middle of the meteor’s pierced body, a miniature ball of rock surrounded by destructive flames abruptly appeared, with the green light flooding into it relentlessly. The world around the giant meteor seemed to warp as a strange phenomenon began to occur.
“No…” Crowley was unable to believe the sight he witnessed. “No way…” He widened his eyes in disbelief over what he was watching, but a ruthless light then soon followed as he aimed both of his hands forward.
I’m not letting you ascend any further! This is the end of your life, Herald of Destruction!
“The guide of lost souls, the harvester of life, swing your edge to end another light—Reaper’s Scythe!”
“A prison for the worst, a cage sealed in the deepest layer of the underworld—Tartarus!”
A grim scythe with a cold metallic edge appeared in front of him with a thick aura of death, decay, and end.
Stolen novel; please report.
Behind him, an illusory visage of the legendary Tartarus constructed by the many gods who wielded the domain of death and the afterlife appeared, with its gates wide open, ready to trap another life for all eternity.
The scythe shot forward and it swung itself in an arc in an attempt to harvest another soul. Chains shot out of the depths of Tartarus to try and bind the living meteor’s body.
“Useless…” A demonic voice echoed as the faint image of the burning meteor within the giant meteor’s body solidified.
“Heavenly Kingdom!” the Akashic Library shook as many bookshelves rattled and fell to the ground. An endless number of books lay in disarray as a reddish light devoured a portion of Crowley’s heavenly kingdom. “Apocalypse!”
A world with a dim red sky and bloody red dirt appeared behind the giant meteor, overwriting half of the vast library.
The two heavenly kingdoms exerted their influence against one another in a bid to dominate the other’s authority and overtake them. Crowley and the giant meteor glared at each other as they gritted their teeth or clenched their fleshy insides.
…
Wanderer of Stars fell to the pure white ground, its one single eye staring dazedly at the pitch black sky. Faint wisps of starlight floated out of its body as it slowly felt its control over its divine authority disappear.
To think I would soon meet my end here… It helplessly sighed. I’m still so young, so much left to live with my infinite lifespan. I still remember reaching the realms of divinity after successfully escaping from my home planet with those insane fools.
I became the Wanderer of Stars, an adventurer through and through, an explorer of the vast cosmos of the universe.
I had bore witness to numerous civilizations, met many travelers traveling the cosmos just like me, and visited so many star systems… And yet I haven’t even gone out of this galaxy!
Regretful, truly regretful!
I’m the Wanderer of Stars yet I haven’t even visited any places outside my home galaxy! I’m basically a failure compared to other travelers! Plenty of Stage 5 beings had even explored much more than me even if they had limited lifespans!
Fuck… Fuck. Fuck! FUCK!
Its eyes glowed bright green as it gasped for breath.
“I can’t go on like this… I still have to live… I still have to visit those famous places… I still have to enjoy the bountiful wonders this universe has to offer!”
The mystical mountains of Cilles, the star ships of the Zenrids, the hot babes gathering at Ecraonus!
Grow, evolve, transcend!
I’m the Wanderer of Stars goddamnit! I’m gonna explore this entire universe before I would ever meet my end!
Zen gazed at the giant humanoid octopus alien whose aura abruptly surged. His eyes flickered with black and white light as he attempted to stop the alien from doing what it was about to do, but the next moment, a dazzling explosion of starlight erupted out of the alien’s body, blinding Zen for a moment.
He hurriedly opened his eyes and wanted to see what the alien had done, but he was surprised to see that the giant humanoid octopus alien had disappeared from where it previously was.
Countless starlight gates then opened around Zen and an endless stream of light rushed out of them. Zen hurriedly erected a barrier of black and white light around his body while also trying to locate the source of the attack, but was met with a confusing answer—the attacks where coming from hundreds of different points at once.
As he harrumphed and exploded the barrier of black and white light around him, destroying the starlight gates, he hurriedly flew to the sky to locate the missing Wanderer of Stars. That didn’t take long however, as he finally realized why he sensed that their attack came from so many different areas at once.
Between the white sky and black ground, the blurry appearance of the Wanderer of Stars flashed from one point to another at breakneck speeds to the point that he existed at many different points at once. Starlight gathered in its hand which then launched forward, disturbing Zen from carefully observing its movements and preventing him from making a counter to his current strategy.
As Zen flew around with a trail of black and white light, he tried to lock in on one of those phantom images and affect its karma, but as if hitting an illusion, he failed to do anything to the Wander of Stars who was currently presiding in an unknown spot.
Against its extreme speed, Zen could only hope to attack its afterimages!
Zen, however, soon realized what he could do to stop the untouchable alien from moving around so much.
Black and white light rose from his hands and expanded outwards in a wave, covering hundreds of kilometers in a field of chaotic light. If even one of those afterimages were to appear inside this field, a disastrous dosage of bad karma would befall them and he could incur a new consequence such as restricting the alien from moving.
The Wanderer of Stars though had other plans in mind, because it reappeared hundreds of kilometers away, just barely out of the field’s domain. Its eyes twinkled with radiant starlight as it clasped its numerous tentacles together.
So this is what it’s like to be a Stage 7 entity… It smiled with joy but restrained itself from feeling too excited.
“Heavenly Kingdom.” Its voice echoed all throughout the cosmos. “Sea of Stars.”
The black sky and white ground were overwritten by an endless sea of darkness where countless motes of light shone. The brilliant starlight flew around at drastic speeds while the liquid darkness flowed like a river.
Zen stared at the Wanderer of Stars, his eyes turning a darker shade of black and a purer shade of white.
“What a monster…”
